I am revising my prior review, the paint has held up reasonably well, but part of the job was to caulk around the windows. I had a huge amount of water leak from around an upstairs window to the inside of the house today. Yes, it may be something else but it also could be that the painters missed caulking this one window. I called Stuart about this issue and suffice it to say, the conversation did not go well. The main theme being it could not be the caulking, it was not their fault, it could be from something else, call a window guy but I don't want you to be upset about it because we did a super job. He said he could fix the window for a charge, when I said fine then do it and charge me he then back pedaled and did not want to come out to fix the window because of the drive. At this point I told him that I was wasting both our time, started to cry and told him I had to hang up and then did so. He called back angry and wanting to fight over me hanging up on him. This time I did hang up on him. He just texted about "treating people like shit." He may run a decent paint company, but he has a temper and has trouble keeping his cool if his work is questioned. Proceed with caution. I will say his paint crew is very polite and pleasant. read more

The gentleman that I spoke with, who later identified himself as the owner of the company, was very rude and unprofessional and seemed to get agitated quite easily. Stuart and his team were rockstars. When Stuart came to check out our house, he noted peeling paint and cracked boards and told us WHY the painting was peeling and the boards were messed up. I appreciated his willingness to be upfront about the job ahead and how much time it would take/how much it would cost. Stuart ended up being the least expensive of the three bids we got, but even if he had been the most expensive we would have gone with him anyways because we liked his no nonsense approach. When Stuart's team arrived, they talked my husband and I through what they thought was the best approach to some siding we needed to replace. They were incredibly clean and made sure everything that wasn't supposed to get paint on it didn't. We really appreciated Summit's attention to detail, ease of communication, and no nonsense approach. I will say that when the workers were replacing some of the boards on our south wall, some of the stuff on my shelves fell off. Nothing important broke, but just word to the wise to take everything off of the walls inside if you're having boards replaced. read more
