Five Stars for Vejars Design & Build!…read more Vejars Design & Build completely exceeded my expectations. We had sudden water damage from a broken shower valve inside the wall, and our homeowners insurance placed us in a hotel while repairs were underway. I was prepared for a long, stressful process, but Vejars proved me wrong in the best way. They had us back home in less than four weeks, which is incredible given the extent of the damage. Their team worked quickly, efficiently, and with impressive attention to detail. Every day the workspace was clean, organized, and free of debris--they even hauled away all the scraps without us having to ask. The craftsmanship is top-notch. My new bathroom looks amazing, and you can tell they take pride in delivering high‑quality work. From start to finish, the communication, professionalism, and overall experience were outstanding. If you need repairs or a remodel done right, Vejars Design & Build is the team to trust. I absolutely love my new bathroom!

We redesigned our whole living room and office area and it was a big remodel project. As with any construction team, communication is the key ingredient for a quality finished product. Solomon was always responsive to our calls, texts, and visited the site regularly. If we asked for him to come on site to resolve an issue - he was there for us. While it did take longer to complete than estimated, the budget was spot on. Again, it is beautifully done, and we highly recommend using Solomon and his team for any remodel you may have planned.

Solomon and his team were very transparent every step of the process. It started with the quote, where Solomon will actually breakdown every part of the work that needs to be done. We've done a few projects around the house, and I hated how contractors just threw out numbers and you didn't know what exactly they're charging you for. Next was the Demo - the crew showed up on time, done in a day, and they were professional every step of the way. Tarp, protected the furniture, carpet, and hardwood floors. Build - the lead was Hailey, and he was, by far, THE BEST. He'd listen to our concerns on how we wanted everything to look, and he was so patient with us when we changed our mind on tile, color of the grout, etc. Touch up - not only did Hailey come, but Solomon continued to visit the worksite to make sure everything was progressing according to plan. The project started and ended on time. Unheard of when you have remodel projects around the house. We loved the work Solomon Moss Tiling did, and the craftsmanship of Hailey and the entire team. Can't recommend them enough. Pictures are of before and after.

One thing I appreciate most is his responsiveness. Every time I need something--whether it's a small repair or a larger project--Nick is quick to respond and gets the job done. It's hard to find someone who's reliable, honest, reasonably priced, and takes pride in their work, which is why I confidently recommend him to my clients. My only suggestion would be to choose and purchase the materials yourself so you can ensure you're getting the quality you want. Other than that, Nick has always been reliable, responsive, and does great work at a fair price.

True enough, the results speak for themselves. They brought an old house which we bought as-is, dirty carpet and all, and they turned it into a more habitable home. They went above and beyond, from helping us pick the floor, moving heavy furniture, paint color, and overall communication throughout the whole project. They even fixed and pointed out other little problems along the way. Some will just have to be projects for another time, but I know I will be calling them again when we are ready.

They were professional, fast, and their attention to detail was excellent. The floors and stairs turned out beautifully! They were on time And worked very hard to get the job done! They removed the carpet and disposed of it themselves. They worked efficiently, were respectful of my home, and you could tell they really take pride in their work. Everything looks clean, polished, and professionally done. It's not always easy to find contractors who are both fast and do high-quality work, but these guys delivered on both. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for flooring installation. Five stars all the way! Thank you Felipe!

We initially thought that we could do it all ourselves but quickly realized that we needed to hire it out if we wanted to get it done within a reasonable timeframe, so we called Morfin Flooring Installation and Felipe was able to come out to see our space within the next day. We let him know that we already bought the flooring material and that some of the rooms were already demo'd. Very quick responses and a really competitive and reasonable price for the scope of work! For a huge space, Felipe and his team were able to get it done within 4 days (and this included grinding a lot of old thinset and leveling the ground)! Plus, we were also living in the space will all of this work is getting done, but Felipe was easy to coordinate with in terms of moving to rooms that they completed as they went along. You can really tell that Felipe is highly experienced, and his team is very respectful. Overall, I am very satisfied with the job that Morfin Flooring Installation did and highly recommend them!

David was our project manager and he was the reason the whole thing went smoothly. He walked us through the scope before we signed anything, so we knew what we were getting and what it would cost. When they opened up the floor and found a drain line that needed to be replaced, he called us the same day, explained what it meant, and gave us the options instead of just presenting a bill. It got handled and the schedule held. The crews were respectful of the house and cleaned up at the end of every day, which matters a lot when you're living through a remodel. The kitchen came out better than we pictured it. If you're deciding between contractors in San Diego, these are the ones to call.

Our house was built in 1961, so during demolition and construction, numerous unforeseen issues arose, and the team addressed each situation with a high level of expertise and efficiency. Sunset Design and Build completed the work within our budget. We couldn't be happier. We would highly recommend Sunset Design and Build to anyone considering a remodel.

Christian's team did a fantastic job on a difficult project…read more . I asked Christian to install HardiePlank siding, renovate my rooftop deck, and replace old windows. In order to complete the project successfully, Christian had to deal with the idiosyncrasies of a house built in 1922 that had accumulated a number of additions/updates/kludges over time. Christian was able to react to all of the surprises we encountered once we took the old siding off (chimneys to nowhere, mystery pipes, ancient electrical etc) and complete the project on time and within my budget expectations. Christian was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. He communicated with me constantly and spent plenty of time onsite. I work full time and don't have time to babysit an ineffective or shady contractor. Christian made this remodel very easy on me. The house looks great! Thank you Christian!

2.5 stars: My siding looks beautiful due to Christian's…read moregreat employees and due to my diligence/flexibility and my major cost shifting techniques Christian's behavior led me to undertake. The process to get to almost the end point has however been pretty awful. I have read the older reviews and am amazed, because the Christian I dealt with these past 50 days was extremely different from what other reviewers describe. My opinion is Christian is very high strung and explosive these days. It is for this reason that I write this review. While on my property for a sliding and window installation, Christian had three self instigated yelling episodes, once even to another contracting service. Christian, you see, had a 10 million dollar home to side after mine and said he was behind on my job due to the window delay. The window issue caused a one day delay. Health issues in one of his employees caused a 10 day delay. Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) caused a 6 day delay. I ended up placing a change order request to eliminate Christian's company from trimming the interior to my windows because I became afraid that Christian would have another explosive interaction. Christian also seemed quite unable to manage his moneys for my job, twice asking for money days ahead of completion of scheduled work. He also used my contract to order materials for another job. Thankfully, I was able to get a lin release, but it was only given to me AFTER removing the material from my property and while job was still less than 50% completed. Some of the material he took away that day was needed to complete my corner railing, so a makeshift corner was placed that is chipped and needs fixed. Even though he was contracted to caulk siding and nail holes, Christian told me his workers aren't as good at that aspect of the job, that I would be better off getting a painter to do that work. I had no problem with doing that until Christian refused to credit me for the cost of caulking that was shifted to a painter. Instead Christian continues to insist that I pay him for the caulking job his team did not complete. Christian has gone as far as to state in writing that both caulking and flashing are not required when installing Hardie siding. He also said that he isn't responsible for insulating windows, just for plumbing them in the jambs. Hardie manufacturer, Azek manufacturer, window installers and an independent 3rd party inspector all tell me Christian is wrong. Pretty certain that the CA Licensing Board will also tell me Christian he is wrong. Christian left my job unfinished. I have 32 feet of missing trim in the front of my house, damaged trim at the water table and on the front corner of my railing. I have 3 windows only partially installed/shims sticking out 4 inches into my room. Christian also removed waterproofing from around my basement door and opened up the door jamb above the door in order to re-trim it, but never finished that project either. He was suppose to come back to complete the loose ends 2 Fridays ago, but never showed up. Instead, that weekend he sent me the final installation invoice, which included paying for all these loose ends, even though they were never completed. Christian insists he is correct in his billing practices and that I am misinformed. I am turning the issues over to the CA Licensing Board for their help as Christian has not followed through to finish the contracted project. He has forced me to get others to finish a job he was suppose to complete. I am extremely worried about this contractor. Christian keeps demanding money for work not completed. Sadly, Christian has breeched my contract. The work that was completed is pretty. When Christian wasn't on site, all went smoothly and hiccups were addressed and resolved. When Christian showed up (thankfully only a few days during the entire job) everything became difficult with excuses for the hiccups, no fixes to resolve the hiccups. I give 2.5 stars to this establishment overall, 5 stars for Christian's employees (Hahns and Bart), sadly 0 stars for owner Christian.
