Do not go to the lady at desk 3. She took almost 2 hours to do my daughter's nails and she cut her multiple times. We got the $40 length and some of her nails were nowhere near that length and the shape was messed up on some as well. She used way too much primer so my daughter's fingers were burning very badly. She was also rude to my child. She told my child she was the reason her paint was getting messed up and told her if she touched them again she wasn't going to fix them because she had people waiting on her. 1st of all, no clients were waiting, the lobby was empty. 2nd of all, I don't care if she had to touch them up 50 times, I paid for their services therefore she was going to complete those services. However, the lady at the front desk was very nice and so was the manager, he refunded a portion of what I was charged and apologized. This is a great place of business other than the nail tech at desk 3. I would NOT recommend her to anyone. I gave 1 star for our experience with her alone, if it wasn't for her I would've given 5 stars. I'll be back to get my daughter's and my fill-in but I will definitely request that #3 gets nowhere near our hands!! read more

Went in the salon and a bunch of them starting bombarding us to get gel instead of acryllic and then mid-session, the women doing my sister's nails walks up to leave for another client that wanted her brows done and left us waiting. Now I am very picky about nail salons because of my past experiences. After searching for all the nail salons in Macon, yelp led me to this one. I was skeptical, especially because their style seemed to be too wild for my taste, but it was my best bet. I'm here on a 2 week long business trip and I ended up breaking a nail while working so I decided to go ahead and get a fill in. It's a beautiful salon, very busy, but I didn't have to wait long at all. They had a lot of technicians and customers. The guy who did my nails was pleasant and understood what I wanted and the shape. It was $20 for an acrylic fill in and one nail replacement, yikes! But when my nails were dried and I left the salon, I couldn't stop staring at them! This is an Excellent salon and they do an array of different styles. I decided to come here because I was told to by one friend. When I get there It took about 30 minutes to be seated, which was fine with me. Then my sister and I ended up sitting at a table waiting to get our nails done by someone and never did for 2 hours. They skipped us several times. Sun Nails is not a good salon. The first time I went, the woman ahead of me came back and had them fix her nails, I should have known then. Nicole did a gel polish on my hands. She did not polish far enough to the edges and 9 days later ALL of the polish began peeling off my fingers, which left a rough and ugly nail bed. The second time I went, Jenny assured me that it was because of water (and I don't soak my hands in water unless I'm washing dishes). She did another gel polish on my hands and that started peeling and chipping 2 days later! I went back and had someone fix those nails (for free, of course) and that SAME night, those fingers were chipping. I spent over $50 and my nails are never acceptable. I live nearby and have given this place several chances and I go in praying they would get it together. NOPE! It was renovated really nice but I kept having bad experiences to the point of never going back. My eyesbrows have been damaged seceral times. I mean after months of growing and repeatedly say not to thin them out, I come out pencil lined uneven brows. Hideous. Nails are not always proper. Workers don't always use packaged tools. I can't no more. Last time I snapped and as a business woman myself, I wouldn't recommend this place for a classy look. I went to the sun nails in the presidential Park way. And being going there before and got fungus infection on toe nails and later spread to other toes. I had to get lazer treatment twice and it took more than 18 months to cure. Yesterday, being Sunday the other salon I go to was closed and I had had to get a pedicure, I had no choice but to step by that Sun Nails salon again, felt I will take my instrument and tell them to use alcohol. The lady who was doing my pedicure refused to put alcohol and said in the rude way "we sanitize", but after insisting she put the alcohol. The were so rude ,they were laughing and talking in their language . When I had choose the nail polish ,the lady gave me the bottle , I took the bottle in hand and felt I will go for a little darker shade, so I request for darker pink. They started to laugh and speak in their language and I felt so bad infront of all other customers. Her husband turned around and shout on me saying "you can't decide", this was so rude. I felt so much discriminated . I pay them to do a good job but not to be treated like this like a dog. This place did a terrible job and had awful service. The lady working the front desk was very rude and not understanding. Unsatisfied with my nails, I went back into the shop after paying and walking out to have them fix them. They were very pleasant the first time but after walking out still unsatisfied with my nails, they became very unprofessional. I called them to let them know I was still not happy with my nails and they told me that I could come back in for a third time and they would take the nails off and redo them for me. Knowing how painful it is to take acrylic nails off, they should have not even offered to bring me back in, but offered a refund or a free full set on my next visit. Called a second time to speak with a manager about how rude the front desk lady was and to let them know about my nails and the lady that answered the phone came back to say she was a manager and told me the same things over. She then proceed to call the cops and say we made a terrorist threat on their establishment, but was very shocked to find out that I had recorded the whole conversation and would have found herself behind bars if I would have pressed charges on her for that god awful lie. I came here on a Sunday with a friend that comes here often. The shop is really nice. I came in for a fullset everyone was busy but one person. Before I start saying what I have to say, let me tell you I am all about first impression. But there was a male nail tech there he had long hair, clearly it was weave I could notice the glue on his scalp from the front door. He was not at all presentable my friend told me not to let him do my nails because she had him before and she was not pleasant with what he did to her nails. Thank god I brought her otherwise anyone would have been doing my nails but I got a lady she was really nice and listened to what I wanted and she executed perfection. I love my nails thanks to her. So mad I didn't get her name but I will remember her face next time I'm in here.. I knocked down one stars because everyone looks presentable but the man with weave... I would give this horrible nail salon negative stars if possible. Went in for a mani/pedi and had the worse experience. First I was sitting in the pedicure chair when I noticed the water overflowing soaking the floor, my shoes, and purse. Then for the manicure I was handed over to another person. This male decided to burn the hell out of my long natural nails with the grinding tool to remove the SNS gel powder color I had on instead of removing it the right way with cotton balls soaked in remover wrapped in foil. Then when I told him to stop he continued on like he couldn't hear me. After that he proceeded to try and put acrylic powder on my real nails. Once again I had to tell him no and explain what I wanted to for him to act like he didn't know what I was talking about. I was then transfer to a new station. This woman was slightly better although she keep using the grinding tools on my nails causing my real nails to become thin and brittle. I was traveling through Macon from Atlanta, and decided to stop to get my nail repaired. I'm normally nervous of new salons I've never been to, especially since I stay out of town...But I get there and I was greeted immediately, which was great, and my wait was maybe 10 minutes(no biggie), given the fact I came in on a Saturday, which was great!! The owner ends up doing my nails. He rushed through the entire time, putting a very small amount of acrylic on my nails and he constantly kept stopping. Because of him rushing, my nails are now split in the middle, and I have to spend more money getting them fixed. I was just in there SATURDAY(7.9.16), AND ITS THURSDAY!!!!! I had to make sure that he fixed my nails that were cracked. So he got called away and he asked his wife, who is not personable at all, to finished my nails. I got charged almost $40 for a fill-in. NEVER!! A fill-in in Atlanta is maybe $25 and that's with the gel nails and the color is included, which I always get and they last for weeks!!!!! I get charged for a fill-in, plus an extra $15 just for polish!!! She snatched my card out my hand, and didn't tell me to have a good day! The building itself was very clean and organized, but never again will I visit this place. I am highly disappointed!! read more
