It's a cute little place. It's nicely decorated and clean. The staff is super friendly, but the quality of the service is not worth the price. I got a free 6 minute massage which was great. It was super relaxing. But the nails look terrible. Some are coffin, some are square. My left thumb is so thick I can barely type. Definitely not worth the $40 for mixmatched nails and a color sloppily applied. read more

The only reason I would give 2 stars is because it's clean and very updated inside, but that's all. I went for a gel manicure which lasts me easily 3-4 weeks and after the 3rd day multiple nails chipped! The entire process from start to finish was 15 minutes if that even. I have been to Sun only a handful of times. The staff is always polite and friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because their work wasn't consistent. The first time I didn't care for my pedicure, most recently Nicole did it for me and she did an amazing job! Took her time, & it was close to closing. I felt she went the extra mile I will definitely go back but I will be making appointments with her. read more

HORRIBLE! I wish I could give it 0 stars! She did not use clean utensils. The other nail tech put the other customers hand in a water bowl. Mine was not. All over the store it said "free massage" and when I asked for it; she simply said that "the lady is sick" buttttt the lady drying her hands in front of me got a 6 minute massage. I timed it! Never coming back. I dont recommend this place to anyone. And I think it should be closed down because they do not use clean utensils. read more

I went to Sun Nails today for the first time. Went for a mani pedi. The pedicure was fine. But when it came to my manicure the experience changed for the worse. I told her I just recently cut my nails and that I wanted just a little evened off. She cut my first long nail right off. I told her that was too much I didn't want them short. She cut them all off! I had very nice strong and a good length nails. Now they are all gone and it feels horrible. Plus she didn't give me a shoulder massage while I was under the dryer. I saw a young lady get one from her manicurist while her nails were drying. Then another women came by and asked me if I wanted a massage. I said yes. She was good, now I have to tip again. Then when trying to get out of the parking lot, there was so many cars parked along the curb on Deer Park Ave. that I could not see. I had to wait until the light changed and slowly edge out onto D.P.A. Needless to say, I'm back looking for a decent nail salon. I'm not a picky person and I'm always nice. And I've been told I am a decent tipper. I have never wrote a review before, but felt I needed to pass on my experience. read more

Better times when Lilly was still running Sun's Deer Park location! Now it has gone completely south! New owners (since July 1, 2016) do nothing but inconvenience the customer and they've lost pretty much all the girls! Even Sherry is leaving! Past four or five times I've went I've waited 20-30 minutes past my appointment because they allow anyone to just walk in and pretend like the girls have time for them when they don't! They will schedule an appointment and have their girls work on anyone who walks in, regardless if they are previously scheduled. I have even had the girl I had an appointment with be told to go work on someone else IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR APPOINTMENT! I don't blame the girls - I blame the new management! Nails have also been chipping within a week because all the girls are rushing and don't even take their time with you anymore! For a nail salon with such high prices, I expect a certain caliber of service. I refuse to throw out $100 every 2 weeks for a service that isn't even good or lasting! Unfortunately, after 8 years of going to Sun's Nails, I have to say I will no longer be a customer. I so wish Lilly was still around! Totally unhappy! read more

I have been going to this salon for about a year. Some ladies are very nice but there are also a few who are extremely rude and nasty! Today I got my nails done and I used Sara. NEVER use her. She is so rude and mean. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. When it was time to pay I told her my nails turned out great but she was very rude and I didn't appreciate it. She laughed at me, said wow and walked away. Even the other women getting their nails done couldn't believe Sara's reaction to me. I reported her to the manager but he did nothing either. I will probably never go there again. They are SO unprofessional. read more

Went on a Saturday morning (arriving just before they opened at 9:30am) without an appointment and my mother and I were taken care of right away. We first had an awesome Green Tea Spa pedicure--Highly recommend: scrub, hot towel wrap, paraffin wax, stone massage, and 20 minute massage with lotion/oil. Next, we had a manicure (regular) which included a relaxing hand and arm massage. And finally a relaxing neck and shoulder massage while drying our nails. The prices are reasonable especially in comparison to Manhattan prices where I'm used to going. It was clean, instruments were sterilized between clients, and the staff was really nice and insured we were satisfied. I will be returning -- how can't I when they gave me a membership card and jotted down both my mom's and my services so, I have 8 more to go for freebie read more
