i love sun factory! they're a great salon, josh & erin are so helpful and willing to take customer feedback well! all of the staff have been so pleasant, they provide excellent customer service. the salon is well maintained and cleaned thoroughly. i really love their high end beds & the red light therapy wellness pod. i have beautiful color year long, and they price their services & lotions reasonably! they are the nicest people here and i love being able to maintain my tan & wellness from such a friendly, wonderful salon. they recently had their 4 year anniversary party where they offered any bed for free for existing & new clients, and even had a ton of treats, including the most delicious caramel cupcake ever made by josh's mom. really wholesome, great salon all around. read more

I love this place. The owner is there nearly every day which makes a huge difference. Regardless, all staff members are lovely to interact with and are knowledgeable of the services provided. The entire establishment is consistently clean and the private rooms exceptionally so. My package cost is incredibly low comparatively to others, especially for what they offer. My preference is the platinum bed (I believe that's what it's called) and I am thrilled with every use! Cannot recommend enough! read more

This place is good as long as you can get a bed/booth! Only when this 1 lady works seems to be the busiest tanning salon around not 1 opening all day! Only when she's there it's hard to get an appointment. Funny when I can get a bed theres not 1 other customer in there! It's probably because she's to busy talking on her personal phone. The times I came and she was working both times she was on her phone as I was trying to check in. Stinks you pay for a month unlimited and she kind of limits it! I use to tan in a salon in Salem but after it had closed I was left to find a new salon. I had chose sun factory because of the location and the reviews I had seen on here. Great place for all your tanning needs. The staff here is great especially Melissa. When I had first joined she took time to help me pick which bed and which lotion would be the best for me. The tanning is fantasic, you get tan in 3 visits. The service sucks. Iwent there in morning sign says they open at 7:30am and at 8am, no one was there yet to open the doors!!! Always on phone and your a bother when you walk in. so much for tanning before work!! read more

This place is in desperate need of a new review! I went tanning here many years ago and loved it. You can't compare the tan to any other place in the area. I stopped going because years ago it was always overcrowded with a long wait time and not the best employees. I started going again recently and will not go anywhere else. The beds and booths here are better than any place around, I am daily pale and get pretty tanned here, much more tanned than any other place I've been. The place is always very clean and the beds and booths are bigger than average so there is no feeling of claustrophobia. The employees are very nice here, and I have not had to wait for a bed or booth once since I've started going here again. They are priced a little higher than other places but the beds and booths, and cleanliness are worth it. Also note their hours are very long, they open early and close late every day, even weekends they are open until 9 I think. read more

will NEVER return to this tanning salon. I am not quick to accuse people, but I am almost positive an employee stole my Louis Vuitton wallet and kept it for herself. after a tanning session I had accidentally left my wallet in the room and when I returned the employee working was very quick to insist no wallet had been found (even though they clean the rooms after every customer). I went back the next day hoping it may be there, but the same employee was working so I got nothing regardless of how persistent I was. a few days later i received my license and credit/debit cards in the mail, but no wallet, cash or giftcards with a letter stating "found these". when I emailed the store hoping to get in touch with an owner, I received no answer. After numerous calls to the salon itself asking for a manager or owner, I was assured I would receive a call back, but never did. do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

Best tanning salon around!......i had to wait 20 minutes before for a bed which i totally didnt mind and i just want to say i noticed how unbelievably clean the salon was....i watched the employees clean each bed after use and on top of that lint roller the rugs and place a clean towel and candy on top of each bed, to me i was blown away at how they were so into detail and making sure that each costumer gets a great tanning experience, NEVER seen a cleaner salon.....Also i tryed the airbrushing a month ago by Elaine and it was unbelievable, the tan lasted 8 days and now im addicted to getting sprayed once a week and the airbrushing price is the best around and so is the tone of the tan and as a tanning junkie i have tryed many different places and this is by far the best! Waited 45 minutes PAST my appointment time and wasn't even offered a discount for the wait. The woman at the front desk was VERY sweet and kind, that's about all I can say that is positive... After my very long wait, I watched the girl that spray tanned me go out for a smoke and then came in and called me into a room without washing her hands. Granted they don't really touch you, but come on, that's disgusting and unprofessional. She also displayed on her face the displeasure that I wasn't wearing the attire she thought I should wear. After she sprayed me, she left me to dry with one fan and she instructed me to bend while drying... Really? How about getting more fans that hit every angle so you don't have to bend awkwardly for such a long time! After about 15 minutes she came in and looked me over and hit parts of my body up again with the spray and told me to let myself dry for about 5 more minutes then I could leave. Well, I knew I would not be dried in 5 minutes seeing how I was still wet from the initial application! I opted to just stay in the room and dry for another 20 minutes and I still was tacky feeling. Although she insisted when she came in earlier that getting dressed wouldn't smudge me since she told me I was dry to the touch, well I smudged a bit and not to mention she NEVER came back into the room to make sure I was dry. Once out and I was able to look in the mirror, I noticed that my face was ridiculously darker than my entire body! I freaked out and did an internet search in hopes for advice to fix this mess. I decided to take a shower and so glad I did 'cause when I got undressed, I noticed that not only was I streaked, but I had darker areas all over my body (which made me look like I was dirty). Never again and the service was horrible. Again, the woman at the door was wonderful. That's it. Oh, once I showered, everything came off, thank God! read more
