I went for the first time because that's where my PCP ordered my lab work, honestly a horrible experience. I waited almost an hour to even be checked in and seen only for them to deny me. This is a really small office, with two employees (one to do lab work, and one at the front desk). There was no space to sit or wait when I arrived, and I got there close to opening. There were elderly, mothers and children, just waiting by the door or in the hallway outside. There's also no appointments, it's just walk-in. If I could give negative stars, I would. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a medical facility. The front desk staff is shockingly rude--to every single person in line. The line was out the door, and the receptionist was not only slow but actively hostile, snapping at patients and treating anyone who didn't immediately understand her with open contempt. There was only one phlebotomist drawing blood, and she also seemed overwhelmed and irritated. When I placed my belongings on an empty chair, she snapped at me: "Don't put your things there." This place is disorganized, understaffed, and completely unprofessional. It's a healthcare facility--people come here already stressed or unwell, and the last thing they need is to be treated like a burden. Avoid this location at all costs. Negative Star Terrible experience! During our visit, Jessica drew blood twice on both my hands successfully; however, after we had already left the clinic, we were called back so she could draw more blood. When we asked for an explanation, she stated that the second tube had been discarded due to insufficient volume. She said she had already threw away the blood tube in the second attempt. This resulted in an unnecessary third procedure, waste of my blood and time which was frustrating and made me question the professionalism and preparedness of the staff. I am human and have feelings of pain. As a result of the repeated blood draws, my two hands now has three puncture marks, which should have been avoidable. read more

The wait was not long, however the quality of care for blood drawn was not a great experience minutes after it was drawn. The site turned into a golf ball size. "I can't believe people don't know their own birthdays!" This was said to my 80 year old father with dementia by the young woman who was doing the blood draw on March 10,2025. My father just stuttered while giving out his birthday and he hadn't said anything to provoke this reaction. For a service where most of the clients are elderly this is unacceptable. I didn't say anything as she was about to draw his blood because who knows what she could do. Literally every single time we come here that same young woman is always angry and insulting people. Do not go here. Run! The Chinese woman at the front desk is rude and lazy. There were at least 8 people waiting and she did not process any insurance info. She was hiding in the back and after 40 minutes a customer finally opened the door to the blood drawing area. And then she started processing the paperwork so that the person could draw blood. She was pretending to be working in the back and there was no one at the front desk. We actually waited for more than 40 minutes, not because of people ahead of us, but because she didn't process the paperwork. There was no one ahead of us. Very unprofessional, didn't feel welcomed. The phlebotomist was friendly at least. Also, the urine samples are at the front desk right next to the sign in sheet. That's gross. I noticed the front desk lady kept sending away patients. My kids and I were one of them. She said she didn't know how to verify insurance via the computer but she didn't want to offer alternative of trying to get help from another office or call the insurance hotline. Another pain free blood test taken here. They do not validate parking in their parking structure. Parking fee is like $1 for the first hour, I think. I got lucky and found a parking space on the street nearby. Also they are close from 1pm to 2pm for lunch. I forgot my health insurance card so I had to return home and get it. So remember to bring your insurance card and ID. You will need to urine in a cup/small container so remember to drink plenty of water and/or do not urine before you leave the house. read more

I went to this lab this morning for blood test and I wouldn't recommend this Sun Lab. First, you have to pay for parking. I was there for almost 1 hour and parking fee was $3. What's joke!!! Second, the lady walked-in after me and she didn't sign-in like every one else. The damn nurse (the one draws people blood) called this lady in the blood draw room and everyone else were waiting. Plus, this freaking lady was holding a recorder and she recorded from the time she walked in until she left the lab like less than 10 minutes. Everyone else were waited for at least 30 minutes. I heard the nurse greeted her and they seemed to know each other. Third, the front office lady asked me for my insurance card and driver license. This unprofessional front office lady never returned them to me. What kind a service is this??? Was recommended to take my son to the El Monte location because they have better patient satisfaction according to our pediatrician's staff, but I didn't really want to go to that area, so I took a chance on coming to this San Gabriel location even with the low yelp ratings, and considering this is the building my kids old pediatrician was in. Took my son for a routine blood draw. Luckily I found street parking (although they do have private parking for a small fee). Every time I come to this building for doctor visits, I always just get street parking somewhere along the streets. Anyhow, signed in at 10:35am (walk-ins only, no appointments). There was 1 ahead of us and 2 more right after us. After submitting our paperwork with the nice front desk lady, we went in within less than 10mins. The test service was ok, but their staff was really rude and unprofessional. I took my grandma there for some blood tests in May 2020. The insurance company firstly denied our claim because there was a typo in my grandma's medical records which misled them to treat it as a pre-existing condition. I know what happened and filed a appeal and it was eventually approved in September. Several days ago I received a bill from them stating I have to pay the balance by myself. I understand they might receive a high volume of letters from different insurance company each day and hard to keep track of the situation of each patient. So I called in wanted to explain what the situation was here. The lady who answered my phone call gave me very rude attitude and yelled at me in Chinese without letting me start my words. I have no cue what's wrong with her but it's indeed shameful for the clinic to hire people like this, who is scarring away your customers. read more

I needed some blood taken, and despite the bad reviews on here I came anyway because of how close it was to me. They accept walk ins, so I was able to just go inside when they opened and sign in. The staff was nice they were communicative, and kind. The lady taking my blood was so sweet, I have anxiety and was telling her how afraid I was and I was asking her if she gets a lot of scared people (lol) and she said yes. She took a look at my arm and told me I had good veins and not to worry. I looked away, and she did her thing. I felt no pain, she was so good! I always really appreciate when people are kind to me when I'm freaking out lol it makes it easier on me. The only things that I guess some people wouldn't like about the place is the pee samples are on the table where you sign in, that's just where you drop them off. Also, you can see the person getting their blood drawn it's a very small office with a small room and you can see everything. None of those things bother me though, I just want the job done. I walked in around 8:45ish and was gone by 9:10. They do have a parking lot which you pay for parking in but I just found a spot to park on the street and voila, free parking. I'd definitely come back. I usually pay attention to reviews and ratings but I'm glad I didn't this time and gave them a chance, I'm hoping my review helps them a bit or you can read this yourself and decide to give them a chance. I'd give zero stars if I could . The lady that works in the front so rude. I've been always go to the one in Arcadia with the same preventive care lists every year from the same doctor. But they keep told me that from 10 lists i just can do 4 of it, the rest was not covered under my insurance and i have to pay if i still want to do the test. Even my doctor have to argue with both of the ladies that and they keep saying is not covered. Even all my other friends go to the same doctor and get the same list with me they can get all the test without problem and FREE, it just because they went to the one in Arcadia. This never happen to me with the lab in Arcadia. I went here just because it close to my next appointment. The next day i called my insurance and asking them all the list that covered by preventive care and all the list that my doctor gave me all included in preventive care. She's a very nice lady but I felt bad for her is that she's the only person that works there which make her extremely busy sometime. Came two weeks ago to get my blood drawn. Two cylinders were taken. Got a call from the doctors office one week later and was told that a blood test was missing. Called Sun Clinical and found out that the technician didn't notice a small bottle of blood is needed for the CBC (complete blood count) test. I recalled asking the technician whether 2 bottles are enough. Left work early today to get my arm poked again. It hurts more this time and left a bruise on my arm. Could be a retaliation against my complaint. Technician appears to be inexperience because I found out another customer has to come back for similar situation during my casual conversation with the technician. read more
