Dishonest company. Alex Casting showed up to my home and took a look at my ac unit that wasn't working. He supposedly found the issue but did not show up with tools to complete the necessary repair. (Clogged drain line). Simple maintenance issue and he didn't have tools to correct it. Made promises to show up the next day to repair at no additional cost. He never showed up as promised and office lady (Ashley) could care less that i am still without AC in 100+ degree weather. She made it clear there was no plan for him to be back out and if they did it would be for a lot more money. When i was upset with that answer and asked for a refund she refused. This place also has billing issues. I used them last summer for a cooling issue and technician took payment at the end of the visit. They never applied the payment to my invoice and i kept getting call after call asking to pay a past due invoice. Each call they apologize for the confusion but never remedied the mistake. NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS LATER AND STILL NO CORRECTION. Today Ashley brought up that i dont pay my bills with them. Super frustrating and disrespectful. Glad they are deciding to keep my $75 dollars instead of making it right. Will never use them again. Will be filing a complaint today with the ROC. read more

What a joke, they had their mechanics come to my house within minutes they told me I needed to replace my whole A/C unit was going to cost me $15,500. Then ask what the problem was they told me compressor and the condenser were bad and replaced that was going to be $18236. So I needed to replace the whole unit. Only thing they wanted is the money for a new unit. That was six months ago. I had an another mechanic come to the house he fixed the hole in the condenser pipe and charged up the coolant in the unit. Believe me it was $17,200 less than Sun City Mechanical. My advice to anyone who is thinking about using this company found another one. I'm sure they will try to rip off more people who don't have background in maintenance of A/C units. read more

Never leave reviews, but would rate zero stars if possible. Double charged both me and my mom for the same invoice and still having issues with refunds/credits two months later. While I would say the people are nice and the work is quality, they do not know how to run a small business and adequately deal with back office issues. I have been a customer of Sun City Mechanical for 15 years. I am sorry to say it is no longer the company I knew. The owner retired and the new owner has ruined the company. They no longer do plumbing at all, focusing on HVAC only. In my case, I purchased a new Heat pump from them in 2020. It broke down every summer and they would replace the compressor each time, until in 2024 they said they couldn't get the part even though I was still under the parts and labor warranty. I was afraid my unit was a lemon and I was tired of going without AC during the hot summers. They said if I purchased a new unit, they would give me a good break on the cost. So I did, thinking my summer ordeals were over. Wrong! My new unit broke down 9 months later in April 2025, this time causing smoke to fill my house. Now I'm stuck again with Sun City Mechanical because of the new warranty. I called them on April 30 and at first they can't find any damage. I sent them back up there because the fire department confirmed that the smoke was from the heat pump. Finally they found that an internal plug had burned up and ruined the compressor. So three weeks later, they're still telling me the parts are back ordered and they can't give me a date to fix it. I started asking around and discovered that most suppliers now refuse to work with them. I called another company who found my parts immediately and installed them the very next day. On top of everything else, Sun city Mechanical gave me a "new" 2022 unit in 2024 with only a one year parts and labor warranty even though the manufacturer warranty is much longer. Do not use this place for service. They'll come over and say you have a leak and charge $800 to "repair" it and a few months later it leaks again and they can't find the leak then a few months later they come back because it is not working and they say it is a different leak and what a coincidence it's going to cost another $800 to repair. These are the people that installed the unit several years ago! Interesting reply, future and current customers please note, I've been trying to contact management for over a week now and the only response I get from them is when I post bad review. Also note that they even admitted to having great customer service in the past but since the last owner retired it's gone down hill. Even the front end folks admitted there is high turnover in all positions there. And yes I did agree to fill the unit up until repairs are made but as you stated in your response you never billed me in the past but this time not only did you not say you were going to charge me you didn't say it was going to be over $400, which by the way is above the industry norm. So bottom line people since new management took over this place has turned into a scam. Please avoid at all costs, if you don't it will cost you an arm and a leg. read more

I have mixed feelings about Sun City Mechanical and this was my experience. My heat went out on December 23, 2022. Marcos from Sun City Mechanical arrived on the 30th and discovered it was the rollout switch. The part was ordered and installed on January 9, 2023 by a technician who goes by the name GAllen3#Clifford. That is the name that was used on the text for scheduling along with his photo and the name used on the text I received to rate my experience. When GAllen3#Clifford arrived on the 9th he installed the rolloff switch and then stated that the gas valve may also be sticking. The only way to know was to check if there was 24v going to the valve when the igniter tried to release the gas. Instead of checking the voltage that day, as he already had the cover back on, he asked if I have a voltage meter and if I could check it when the temperature was cooler in the morning. It would save him a trip and would indicate the valve needed to be replaced. I thought it strange but agreed to check the voltage when the temps cooled in the morning and discovered the voltage was 24 volts but the burner would not ignite. I contacted GAllen3#Clifford and he stated he would order a new gas valve. The HVAC was under warranty for both parts so I was charged for labor only. I asked GAllen3#Clifford on the 9th if there would be a new charge if the gas valve had to be replaced. He stated that there would be no new service call fee and it would be as if he never left. Then, as he was packing up his tools, he stated he would have to charge me $30 to replace the gas valve if indeed it needed to be replaced because he had to drive to Carrier in south Phoenix to get the part. GAllen3#Clifford returned on the January 11,2023 to replace the gas valve. The next day I received another invoice for $86.63 which I thought was for the two invoices combined. When I called he stated that I needed to pay both the service call and the 30 minute labor to install the gas valve. If he would have said he was charging for 30 minutes labor on the 9th I would have asked how much he charges per hour or what 30 minutes costs but when he said $30 there was no need to ask that question. Who charges an odd amount for an hour labor? $86.63 for 30 minutes is equal to $173.26 per hour. In conclusion, Sun City Mechanical and the two technicians I had were friendly and, polite. The job was completed and is working for now. However, their communication of what is being charged leaves a lot to be desired. That's why I rate the Sun City Mechanical 3 stars. read more

This will change if they are here this morning. I had a new motor and bearings $632, installed May 28th. Today its over 77 degrees. U have turned down to 68. The temperature is not going down. I called them at 6:59am. I was told they would call when in the way. Called back at 7:30. I wad than told they would squeeze me in! This is wrong. I already paid for my service. I should be 1st before anyone else. I have animals that can not handle this heat. I need them here asap. I will update this and do reviews everywhere else in the mean time. Sinks good shower good etc. Glenn also arrived a little later --he is the AC tech. He tested all my air-conditioner equipment so yes I am ready because here comes 110° weather soon. Most auto repair shops pay their repair mechanics a percentage of what they repair on your vehicle. I called SCM last week when my elderly mom had a leak under her bathroom sink. They got over there the same day I called and took very good care of her. They had their own restoration company to dry out the carpet, replace drywall, fix everything that got ruined in the flood and even handle the insurance claim. Long story short! I purchased the house that I gutted and remodeled in 2018. The only thing I didn't replace was the 20 year old Trane AC unit only after two professionals informed me that they don't make them that way anymore to include Trane. Don't fix it if it's not broke. 3 years later it's still working but showing signs that it may leave me out in the cold or heat if you know what I mean. With that being said I got five estimate. The estimates below are the same unit tonnage and sear. $13,644, $14,138, $14,500, $16,000 with very aggressive sales guy. Sun City mechanical $7,900. I know what you're thinking, but let me tell you why I chose Sun City mechanical after checking Better Business Bureau, and it's not because they were the cheapest, but that did help! : ^ ) They are A+ rated with a 5 stars review doing business since 2003 with two locations in Buckeye and Sun City. The #1 reason was that they offer a five-year labor warranty. They are the ONLY ones that offered a five-year labor warranty all 4 of the others only offered one year or maybe two. I have had this business at my house to replace my a/c, new whirlys on the roof and to do plumbing. they have fixed toilet leaks, replaced the valve outside, repaired outside spickets and yesterday they replaced my solar hot water heater. every time they have a job to do, they arrive on time and they do a meticulous job. their technicians are careful not to leave a mess and they explain everything they are going to do and the warrantys for service and parts with each job that they do. I always ask for Sergio, but any of the guys that work there are honest and good at what they do. Sergio is the solar expert, if you need that repair. I will use this company forever!! read more

Buyer beware!!!! They sold us a 4tion Rudd four years ago and we've been miserable ever since! We've had them out to check for problems and one of their service men actually told me that they don't operate as well as they do after the first year. And we spent 5k with them!!! They recommended a product, we bought it & now we're stuck. Our only option is to buy a NEW 5ton unit or put up one of those 1 ton wall mounted units downstairs. We trusted them. Would never use this company again. Purchased a brand new ac unit that broke. No problem but when i called for warranty repair they sent someone out that was not able to fix it. I was told part was coming from out of the country so i needed to wait. Meanwhile my house is 98 degrees inside and pets are getting sick. Day part was suppose to arrive no call no show from sun city mechanical. I finally called the vendor myself and found the part in town and had it installed same day. They quoted a different inferior unit so we called them back and asked for the Mitsubishi quote. It was hard enough to get the first quote and of course they said "sorry thought he had already given you the quote". Well it's been two months now and no call, no quote. I purchased a home in surprise in may of this year in april the seller had sun city mechanical come out for an inspection. The tech said the ac was working.properly and the drain was completely clear upon an inspection of the home i purchased the inspector found rust at the drain and said the ldrain line had a clog we went to the seller and they produced a reciept from sun city mechanical. Not even 30 days after.move in. I developed a water leak in my bathroom i had called my home warranty. They came out. Checked it. Fround the trap for the drain 100% clogged. With this leak. It damaged my walls. I called sun city mechanicaland even so much as went to the office. Showed them the damage( clogged trap) and pictures of my damaged wall. They sent the lead tech out a few days later and said. They are not responsible. Tech wasnt even there 5 minutes. I have called them back numerous time. With not getting anywhere with them. WOW! An honest contractor. We were in a hurt, because our water heater quit working while we were away. I couldn't get the pilot light lit following the instructions as printed on the unit. Had a friend stop by and he had no luck. Call my Nieghbor and he said I've used these guys for years and have always been satisfied. So, I call them and told them my problem. The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful in making sure they got someone out here today. They gave me a reasonable time frame and even called prior to getting here. The water heater is about 10 years old so I figured I was about to get the big one. Instead Sergio ask a couple of questions, and quickly fixed the problem. I now know the instructions don't really explain about warmer temps. here in Az. So problem fixed and cost was much better than what I expected.
