After a severe power surge at Desert Mountain, both of my Carrier heat pumps were completely blown out. With outside temperatures reaching 104 degrees, I was in a difficult position. The Cool Zone team immediately took action. Within just three days of ordering all necessary parts, they had everything installed and fully operational. Their work was nothing short of meticulous. Every part fit together perfectly, like a carefully assembled puzzle. Their professionalism, strong work ethic, and calm, organized approach turned a potentially terrible experience into a seamless, stress-free transition. I deeply admire and appreciate the service they provided. Thank you, Cool Zone Air -- well done to the entire team! David Smith

I am surprised at the amount of great reviews for this company. My experience was the complete…read moreopposite. I called Cool Zone because they were authorized to perform warranty repairs on my ac system. The tech found that the compressor had failed and needed to be replaced. He confirmed the unit was still under a parts warranty so my cost would be the labor and new freon that was recommended. He quoted $3,300 for 4 hours of labor! Then said if i purchased a maintenance plan that covered 2 visits for both of my units it would be cheaper at just under $3,100. What? That doesn't make sense. You Buy a service plan and pay less ?!! I expect that the "maintenance" is not intended to take care of the units but to give them 2 more opportunities to overcharge for additional services. I was told they would check availability of the compressor and his office would call me the next day. I was charged a $89 diagnostic fee. I told him his office told me the fee would be waived for repairs over $300. It was obvious to me that he had no intention of sharing this policy with me and said he would discount the repair bill after the work was done. I heard nothing more from them. It has been 2 days. After looking into his price I was told by 2 different companies that the quote was at the high end of the range for a unit that was NOT under warranty. I did not share this quote with either of these companies until after they priced the repair. Both told me the same thing and both quotes were competitive. A different factory authorized business is repairing the unit including line set cleaning and new refrigerant for $1,800. This is a predatory business overcharging people that are stuck in the AZ heat with a broken ac unit. They say a sucker is born every minute. Dont be a sucker! Stay away.

Alex explained the options to fix our 28-year old unit, including replacing it. The owner Brian called shortly after to help us choose the new unit that made sense for us. He was objective, through, and patient while explaining operations, pros, and cons of each unit. The focus was getting our family taken care of, not a sale. As expected, our installation was flawless with Justin and Alex being kind, professional, on time, and patient with questions. After the job completion, we wrote a gloriously favorable review for the and office team who supported us throughout the process. He was here months ago as as we have a zone system splitting the house. This adds some nuance to the overall system. And on que, Aiden came in with sleeves rolled up. He is well trained and very intuitive. That's a compelling combination. Most owners of companies would steal to find a talent like him. Without sharing all the details and many hours of discovery, he really did not find something obvious. Yet he performed many checks of the system and did a few tweaks as the backyard was heating up for one of our first warmer weeks. I cannot emphasize how much we admire his truly genuine commitment to customer care along with his dedication and talent. He never has any excuses or even challenges that he is unable to hurdle. He's like the Everready bunny, locked and loaded and ready for bear. Hands down, he is the Valleys Michael Jordan superstar warranty "technician . And a great guy to boot. The first time they came out, they showed me photographic evidence of stuff that needed to be done, along with some clear upsells. I declined the upsells and had them repair the stuff that clearly needed repairing. Since I had purchased a year of free tune-ups with the last set up repairs, the checkup of my water heater yesterday was free. The unit is less than three years old, so I wasn't expecting much. Yet, the techs suggested more than $1,500 of work on a system that cost $1,600 installed. Worse, they were super pushy about it. I did my own research after they left and discovered that none of the things they suggested were even necessary. Worse, the prices were EGREGIOUS. I get that the economy sucks and times are tough. But if I can't trust you to tell me what's ACTUALLY wrong with my HVAC systems, I can't trust you. Period.

I went onto Yelp to see if I could find contact information for a company I had used five years before when I owned a house only to find they had been taken over by another company I didn't know. Long story short I put AC repair into Yelp search not expecting to be able to submit a request to several companies for quotes. I was resigned to getting a response in the morning until lo and behold my phone rang with caller ID showing Ideal Air Conditioning. It was 9pm. I couldn't believe it! And it was an actual person on the line when I picked up. I can't remember her name but she was empathetic and helpful. Before I knew it she had scheduled a service person to come in the morning between 8 and noon. What a relief! The service person got to my condo around 9:30 just before I had to head to work so I left my credit card info with her and entrusted my roommate to oversee the repairs. By 11am I got a call at work informing me that the AC was up and running again with the repair costing me just over $1500, which included a $300 service plan that I thought made sense and was a good idea for continued maintenance. The promptness of Ideal's response, their ability to get a service person out to see me almost immediately and how quickly they got the AC up and running has made me a fan for life. What could have been a stressful days long issue was fixed without delay. Highly recommend!

Nolan was our technician, and he was absolutely fantastic. He fixed our clogged condensate line, replaced a broken piece of the pipe, and thoroughly cleaned our evaporator coils. Nolan was polite, professional, and took the time to explain everything he was doing. The most eye-opening part was when he showed me a photo of our filthy evaporator coils. It proved they had never been cleaned in the 6 years we've lived here. This is incredibly frustrating because our home warranty company sends the same HVAC company out every single year for a pre-season "tune-up," and they never once mentioned or cleaned this. Even though our home warranty covers that other company for "free," they are clearly not doing their job. Nolan and Sandman Air actually care about doing quality work. They fully explained our options and made us comfortable with our decision. Their excellent customer service was consistent from our first phone call through the entire installation process. They even went the extra mile and found a way to get our old unit running before the installation. We were so impressed that we had them put a mini-split in our very hot garage. We can't recommend them strongly enough. They're a family-run business, and it was apparent that everyone we worked with enjoyed and supported each other and that the company makes their customer's needs their first priority.
