Our 5-year-old absolutely loved this summer camp! From the very first day, he felt comfortable, happy, and excited to go back every morning. It was amazing to see how quickly the staff made him feel welcome and cared for. The program is incredibly well-rounded and engaging. Throughout the camp, he explored different styles of painting, dance, yoga, public speaking, educational games that helped build his vocabulary, baking, and so many other fun activities. Every day brought something new and exciting. What really stood out to us was how genuinely caring and attentive the staff are. They take the time to understand each child and provide personalized care and encouragement, which made a huge difference in our son's confidence and enthusiasm. The biggest surprise for us was seeing him develop an interest in activities he had never been excited about before. That speaks volumes about how inspiring and supportive the environment is. A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff for creating such a positive, nurturing, and fun experience. We couldn't have asked for a better summer camp, and we would highly recommend it to any family! read more

It is hard to express in words how grateful we feel to have Ms. Sunita Raj as our daughter's teacher and mentor. Our daughter has been learning with her for the last 3 years, and every single class has added not only to her dance journey, but also to her confidence, discipline, and love for performing. One of the most beautiful things about Ms. Sunita is the warmth and positivity she brings into the classroom. The way she welcomes each child with a smile and energy instantly makes students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn. Kids genuinely look forward to her classes every week, which as parents means so much to us. At the same time, Ms. Sunita maintains wonderful discipline and professionalism. Whether it is regular practice sessions or large annual show preparations, her dedication, organization, patience, and attention to detail are truly admirable. She puts immense effort into making sure every child shines on stage while also guiding parents clearly through schedules, costumes, rehearsals, and performance expectations. Her communication and instructions always help families feel prepared and supported. What touches us even more is how thoughtfully she helps and tries to accommodate any scheduling situation during show season despite managing such a large event with so many students. That kindness and understanding truly reflected how much she cares about her students and families. It is rare to find a teacher who combines talent, discipline, warmth, and genuine care so beautifully. Thank you, Ms. Sunita, for all the love, hard work, and passion you pour into teaching these children. We are truly thankful to be part of your dance family. read more

Another wonderful session has been kicked off by Ms. Sunita! The kiddos are already dancing away, super excited for the winter performance, and eagerly asking about their costumes. Sun Bollywood has truly helped them build so much confidence, and seeing how much joy it brings my nieces is incredible. They look forward to every single class. Thank you, Ms. Sunita--you are the absolute best! read more

6 Years ago we worked with Sunita to choreograph our first dance. She tailored it to our experience and the songs we chose. She choreographed a beautiful dance with a mix of western and Bollywood songs. With my sister's wedding coming up we went back to Sunita for our Sangeet dance. Once again she did a great job meeting our needs. She is patient and kind and makes sure you have all the resources you need to go home and practice. read more

Sunita Raj (from SunBollywood) has been an amazing dance instructor for my daughter. My daughter has learned so much under her guidance, and I'm truly impressed by the progress she's made. Sunita is meticulous, disciplined, and very particular in the best way--she pays attention to detail and builds strong technique. She clearly knows the art of dance deeply and has a wonderful way of teaching kids with structure, patience, and encouragement. I was especially amazed at how effectively she teaches in a group setting while still making sure each child is learning and improving. With many years of experience and a genuine love for dance, Sunita brings both expertise and passion to every class. I'm very grateful we found her, and I highly recommend her to other parents and aspiring students looking for high-quality dance training. read more

Our daughter has been going to Sun Bollywood since she was 3 years old, and for the past 2.5 years, she has had an absolute blast. We are constantly amazed by how Ms. Sunita is able to coach such young kids and help them perform complex dance steps with so much confidence and joy. One thing I am personally amazed by is that Ms. Sunita knows every single step of all 50+ songs featured in the final performance, across all groups and students. Her dedication and attention to detail are truly unmatched. We feel so lucky to be part of the Sun Bollywood community. We look forward to continuing our daughter's dance journey here for years to come! read more

Both my kids attend Sun Bollywood, and we couldn't be happier! My 3.5-year-old daughter absolutely loves her dance class -- it's amazing how these little ones remember steps and perform with such joy. My son has been going for over a year, and it's truly nurtured his love for dance while building his confidence through stage performances. The Dances of India summer camp was wonderful -- it helped our kids reconnect with our roots and celebrate festivals with a new sense of excitement. Heartfelt thanks to Ms. Sunita for teaching not just dance, but also discipline, culture, and confidence -- all while keeping it so much fun! read more

My 4 year old refused to go back the toddler class after 2 classes despite much prodding on our part and a friend who also went to the same class. Unfortunately due to the cancellation policy we essentially paid $270 for 2 classes. They do offer a trial which we did. Make sure your kid likes it before committing! read more

My kid has been going for Bollywood dance classes more than a year, and I'm very happy with the way the classes and performances are organized. Ms.Sunita is very experienced and straight forward, she's been doing this for many years which takes so much discipline and dedication. She takes time to get the kids settled and comfortable and teaches them easy steps based on their age. We continue to enroll our kid for stage performances too as she gains confidence and is very happy dancing with Ms.Sunita. read more

My son has been learning dance with Ms. Sunita for the past three years, and he's loved every bit of it! We're always so impressed by how organized she is, how beautifully she manages all the kids, and how amazing the annual performances turn out every single time. Now my younger one has joined too and is already so excited to perform -- truly a testament to how fun and inspiring Ms. Sunita's classes are. We couldn't be happier to be a repeat family in her dance program! read more

Our daughter started dancing with Sun Bollywood when she was just 3 years old. Ms.Sunita is incredibly warm, patient, and full of energy. She knows exactly how to connect with little ones, making dance feel like play while still gently encouraging correct steps, posture, rhythm, and confidence. It's been such a joy to watch her slowly picking up the steps. I can honestly say it's been one of the best decisions we've made and strongly recommend these classes if you are looking for one. read more

Our 3 year old daughter loved the Bollywood class! For the first few classes, she was nervous and would cry whenever we separated from her. We had some doubts that this would work out, but Ms Sunita was amazingly patient and made our daughter feel comfortable (a miracle!). She ended up loving the class and talking about it all week -- it was what she was most looking forward to each week. The stage performance at the end of the class was an incredible experience. It was the first time she performed on a stage with a fancy costume in front of an audience, and it was the first time she ever received a trophy. It was a truly memorable experience. Even after the class, she still loves to perform the dance choreography and carries the trophy with her around the house. I highly recommend this class and big thanks to Ms Sunita! read more

My daughter has been going here for almost a year and wouldn't go anywhere else other than Ms Sunita. Here are the tip reason why we love sun Bollywood. 1) Ms Sunita is unapologetically straightforward with kids and parents about setting expectations. Which means she is not ur cup, if u r the parent who thinks I pay u money. Now u impress me. 2) she is very organized and expect the same from you. She tells you what is needed from your end. As parents we are expected to be involved which is amazing! 3) she is not partial to kids. My child has danced at the back, my child dances at the front so does every kid. She rotates a lot. Which gives kids a chance to shine :) 4) Ms Sunita is a genius! The reason being, she has a gazillion variety of song selection for every batch. U won't see a single repeat of songs! And she will be down doing all the steps to the kids and adults on stage which is crazy! How she can remember so much. 5) she leverages some rote method for kids of 4-6yr at least where she repeats at least 5% of the steps that they might have done in previous performances so my daughter has handy steps to groove for any songs. She is the right teacher for at least kids, because she has a good grasp of kids mindset, expects and instills discipline and at the same time teach with fun breaks. She also doesn't do catchy Bollywood viral reel songs. She picks very nice fun songs. I have been to dance classes where they pick reel steps and songs and shove it on 5yrs to adults the same steps for everyone which is honestly not what I would want to pay for. So I speak from such experiences. Here are the challenges: She is pretty direct. So not everyone likes it. She disagrees with you if she doesn't think it makes sense. She has a method to madness for running classes for years, for kids and handling different moods of parents. So it took me a while to acclimatize and still be her customer only because my kid dances so well, follows her instructions well and wants to go back always. read more

Sun Bollywood is a great place for sending your toddlers to learn dance and have fun. We had a great experience in the fall season for our toddler. Miss Sunita is a great teacher and knows how to keep the kids engaged. In the beginning, our kid wasn't ready to leave us for the first two classes, but Miss Sunita, quite experienced on this front, worked with us to make it super enjoyable for the kid. She's great with kids and makes sure they get comfortable by having them play some games in the class and then switch to the actual dance practice for the final performance. At the end of the season, kids get the opportunity to perform on stage which was great for our kid and she's since been wanting to get back on stage which is a great boost to her personality at this age. Would definitely recommend Sun Bollywood!! read more

I reached out to Sun Bollywood to help entertain our guests at my husband's 50th surprise birthday party. Sunita was great! She asked me several questions, agreed to take on the challenge and immediately got to work. She also taught me a dance number that I could do as another surprise to my husband while at the party. Sunita and her dancers engaged the guests and had a number of us on the dance floor following the Bollywood dance moves. I am so glad I reached out to Sun Bollywood, our guests have not stopped talking about the party. Thank you Sun Bollywood and especially to you, Sunita for bringing forth a night filled with great memories. read more

Sunita, Thanks again for spending the morning with Brightworks last Friday. I loved that every age level learned a different dance routine that was well-matched with the kids' abilities. Your rapport with the kids was great and you made it fun, engaging, and informative for everybody. I also love that you introduced them to Bollywood culture! The kids in my group (10-11 year olds) absolutely loved learning the dance moves and they kept begging me to play the song on repeat so they could keep dancing long after the class had ended :) If we were to have this event again in the future, we would love to invite you back. If that were to happen, please let me know if there is anything the school should try to do differently on our end. Here is some feedback that I gathered from other staff members: Mahathee (middle school collaborator) I thought she was so great! High energy, sharp and sensible precision in both classroom culture and purpose. :) Her well seasoned experience definitely shows!! Rob (support collaborator) I want to thank you for making today a day to remember for all of us here at Brightworks. Dance is one of the greatest art forms of all and today you brought us movement with a story and it was accompanied by amazing music. I love the way you broke down each dance step to make it easier for us all to follow. My second favorite part was looking around the room and seeing a room full of smiles. Thank you so much. Debolina (parent) You were amazing for so many different reasons: You had dance moves and music that was specific for each age group showing how thoughtful you are about age and developmentally appropriate dance moves. It shows how well you understand all the ages. All the different aged kids responded so well because the music and moves spoke to where they are in their development. You broke down the complex moves into sizable chunks allowing everyone to "do" the dance moves. I saw the kids (and adults) listening to the music and doing the dance well after the class. In fact, my daughter was teaching the moves to her sister during the weekend. Thank you Sunita, you are awesome! Emily (first grade teacher) The dance class was amazing! Sunita struck the perfect balance between giving students a challenge and helping them be successful. The dance felt both silly enough to be safe and engaged with culture. Kids were so proud of themselves and it was many kids' favorite part of the day! My only thought would be seeing if there's a way she can be elevated so all the kids can see her feet. Karin (lower elementary teacher) Thank you for bringing your energy and your dance moves to the Brightworks Holi celebration. The six, seven, and eight-year-olds had so much fun dancing Bollywood. The way you teach choreography, breaking down steps while explaining the meaning of the moves, made it accessible and engaging for the young ones. You are a pro. Thank you so much. Michlene (high school teacher) Dear Sunita - it was so fun to dance with you and to watch my high schoolers let down their guard and really partake in this wonderful dance form. You made all the moves accessible and you were so flexible with them. Our youth really enjoyed themselves. Thank you so much and we hope to see you again in the future. Anthony (assistant head of school) It was truly a pleasure watching you teach and share your love of dance. Every time I walked back into your class I was taken by how everybody in the room no matter what their skill level was dancing or smiling or trying to put together the wonderful combinations you taught them. It was a beautiful thing being a part of the joyous world you created for all of us. Thank you!! read more

We recently had Sunita from Sun Bollywood teach Bollywood dance routines to kids at our Diwali party. I must say she did a fantastic job with kids that ranged from 6 years old to 14, and kept them interested and excited throughout! She taught 2 dance routines in an hour, and also threw in an 'opening act' with pompoms. It was a fantastic way to get the party going. And to top it all, she also did a surprise flash mob that adults gladly participated in. It was a blast and even after the party I continue to receive comments from parents and kids on how much they enjoyed the full experience. Sunita was very prompt in communication and ensured she made it smooth sailing for us prior to and on the day of the event. Thanks Sunita for a fantastic job and for bringing so much fun to our party! read more
