The doctor discussed many options and how each procedure was done with me during my consultation and let me decide whatever I was comfortable with. I appreciated her nurse going over again what the procedure entailed when I went in for the treatment and I thought she was so kind explaining how the laser works and what to expect. The new office is professional and in a great location, easy to get to!

He was recommended to me by a well respected physician I know personally, and have worked with in the Amarillo community. I was glad I chose Dr. Reynolds, and I have referred many people to him as well. If I ever have any dermatological needs, Dr. Reynolds will be the skin specialist I see. He has my confidence.

I scheduled an appointment with this dermatologist a couple weeks ago. I called today to cancel (…read moreover three weeks out) and was told by the receptionist that if I canceled without rescheduling, the doctor will never see me again. (Exact words) I've seen many doctors over the years, and I've never experienced a policy like this. Life happens -- sometimes patients need to cancel. To have a practice completely refuse to ever see you again simply because you didn't immediately book another appointment feels unprofessional and punitive. Healthcare should be about building trust and providing care, not enforcing arbitrary "one strike and you're out" rules. I chose to take my health concerns elsewhere, and I recommend others do the same if they value flexibility and patient respect

I am absolutely appalled by the way my mother was treated at this dermatologist's office in which…read moreshe has been a patient with for many years. My mom has macular degeneration, which severely affects her ability to see, and when she politely asked the front desk staff for help filling out her paperwork, she was coldly told she would have to do it herself or reschedule. She did her best to fill out what she could, and while she was still trying, the receptionist loudly yelled across the waiting room asking if she was done yet. When my mom replied that she wasn't, the woman shouted back that she would need to reschedule and would be charged for a missed appointment. This public humiliation reduced my mother to tears. When she approached the front desk again to explain that she had asked for help, she was told it wasn't their problem. My mother left heartbroken and embarrassed, slamming the clipboard down and vowing not to return. To add insult to injury, the very next day she received a certified letter from the office stating that due to her unprofessional behavior toward the staff, they would be dismissing her from their practice and would no longer refill any of her prescriptions. The sheer cruelty and lack of compassion shown here is beyond comprehension -- especially toward an elderly patient with a disability. No one deserves to be treated this way, least of all a vulnerable, elderly patient simply asking for a little kindness and assistance. I would strongly caution anyone, especially those with special needs or elderly loved ones, to think twice before trusting this office with your care.

The first visit was great. Then 3 weeks later I get a bill. Which I wasn't supposed to get one. I…read morecalled my insurance and even they told them not once but twice it was covered period and I shouldn't of been charged at all bc of the plan I have. Though from my understanding of today they are double dipping for funds. Which is fraudulent. My insurance company heard everything that was said today. And their staff even told the owner that I had them on the phone and she completely flipped out about being recorded. That sucks for her bc they caught everything she said. And I gave them my content which here in tx u only need one person. Bet she didn't know that. And what happened is completely against the law. They charged my insurance company the main part and my other insurance was suppose to pick up the rest. They didn't even submit the other half of the insurance and told me I'd still have to pay. But it was double the number now. I even apologized for getting upset. Front desk was cool with it but the lady over the phone, still not so much. Insurance filed a massive complaint of what happened today and them refusing to see me. Which was said out loud and the recording picked it all up. So if u want them to double dip and not run the insurance properly then go to them if not find someone else in town. I am also filing a complaint with the medical board considering what happened is illegal in more than one way

Dr. Ed McCarthy certainly needs training in his bedside manners. When the client did just that, the Dr. rudely insinuated that the client was lying and that the Dr. said, We aren't a walk-in operation. When the client said he must have misunderstood the Dr's statement, the Dr. responded, yeah, we have a lot of clients that seem to misunderstand. Sounds to me maybe the Dr.'s communication skills might need a check up. At least his bedside manners sure do. Maybe he just has too many clients and he's stressed out.
