Stayed in 2 different properties managed by SummitCove on our trip to CO and both worked out great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The condos we stayed in were in good shape and well maintained. They came with everything we needed from dishwasher detergent to shampoo. It is more like staying at a hotel than some other rentals I have stayed in where you need to provide towels and such - the set up with SummitCove works out great. We had a maintenance issue upon walking into the second condo and someone came to fix it within an hour. Overall a great option for staying in Keystone. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid!!! Our fire alarm went off from 12-245am. When I first called the response was I would have to suffer through the night. I told them I had a young baby and toddler and the young baby had been crying hysterically since the alarm started. They said it was too late and they didn't have a ladder to get the alarm down from the vaulted ceiling. Such poor customer service. The issued was resolved 2 hours and 45 mins later when a security guard found a ladder and placed it on top of the table. So if something like your heat goes out in the middle of the night, you'll just have to suffer. If anything goes wrong, they will not help and your trip will be ruined!! Avoid!!!! read more

I recently worked with SummitCove on a reservation for a condo in Keystone's River Run Village (River Run is one of CO's coolest ski villages located at the base of the main gondola and chair lift, with dozens of restaurants, shops, and activities). The SummitCove rep that I worked with was extremely knowledgable, courteous, friendly, and worked with us ensure we were comfortable with our rental. He gave us a very good rate (about the same or a little less than some of the direct rental sites) for an awesome unit that was about 100 yards walking from the ski lift. Proximity to the lift is hands-down THE best amenity you could ask for after a long day of skiing, or if you want to easily have lunch back at your condo. The condo also had hot tubs (which were very nice and clean). The staff at SummitCove was extremely helpful. We planned a bbq on our balcony and the person in my party in charge of turning the grill on couldn't figure it out. They called the SummitCove office and they had it on within minutes and we were grilling on our deck! SummitCove is the FIRST place I call when I plan a trip to Summit County because they are super nice and always have a good inventory and are willing to work with you on prices especially if you're a return renter, which I am! read more

I can't thank Summit Cove enough for saving my vacation. We stayed at Expedition Station and it was a welcome sight for sore eyes after an arduous 6 hour drive from Dallas to Denver. My Wife and I reserved a private condo for a family get away in order to go snowboarding and view the snow sculptures. Checked in and received KEYS for our condo. Drove about 1 mile from the office to the condo, loaded all of our stuff on a cart and proceeded to our condo to find that the condo KEYS needed to be key cards?? Drove back to the office and was meet by the office attendant that was laughing to my face about giving me the wrong keys. So I asked her if she thought that it was funny? With no response from her. She then handed me 2 key cards for the condo and promised they would work?? I then returned to the condo to find that she didn't know how to program KEY CARDS!! Yes you guessed it the keys didn't work again!!! I then made a call to 970 368 7023 and spoke with a gentlemen named Zack (who was helpful) he had the office attendant bring us the correct key cards for the condo personally. And told me he would give us free passes for tubing, to add insult to injury not only did this company waste over an hr. of my Family's time because of terrible customer service, the office attendant brought us a bottle of Crane Lake Merlot Red Wine.. CHEAPWINEREVIEWS.COM informed me that the retail price is $3.99?? And the ratings/reviews are terrible. I will not be a return customer... As for the tubing passes, the office knew we were a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. We only received 2 tickets for tubing WORST customer service ever, except for Zack!!! Our group of 4 stayed in SummitCove's Cinnamon Ridge property in Keystone. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms it was a great size for us, where no one was on top of each other. There was a washer/dryer in the unit, so after skiing, we were able to wash and DRY! our clothes. Their were two hot tubs outside and around the back of the building, but they were PACKED every night. The views were gorgeous of the slopes and the kitchen had a full size fridge and oven, so it made cooking an ease. However, the toaster oven smelled like it had been caught on fire so we immediately had to turn it off. The location posted about a quiet atmosphere after 10, but the upstairs tenant had loud parties (I'm talking we were worried about them falling through the ceiling while our walls shook) til all hours of the night. The walk isn't too bad, but after all day skiing, it felt like the longest walk in the world. We got a good deal on the room, but without sleeping from the noise, I was pretty frustrated. The cleaning wasn't hard, make sure the dishes are ran and the floor is vacuumed. The appliances could use an upgrade, or the tvs could be much better, but it wasn't bad for what we needed. read more

Paid 2000$ and only got to stay two nights and got a 500$ fine because of one noise complaint which doesn't make sense because it was just my girlfriend and I staying in the room and we were asleep by 11pm. I really can not believe that a resort would kick us out with no warning and a 500 dollar fine and no refund. I would not recommend Summit Cove - they are unresponsive and their key situation is ridiculous. We paid for a late checkout and then they turned off our keys -so we were all stuck with our snow gear and ski boots and then took 45 minutes to get us keys. If it had not been that our daughters flight to Chicago was cancelled due to weather she would have missed it. We also had several issues with the common area keys the first day we arrived and had to have them run over the keys. Our condo slept 6 but there was limited glassware and we had to buy cups. The pillows were awful. Would not recommend- poor service and response . They mess up and their expect you to drive to meet them - which is ridiculous plus our car keys were in the room so we could access!!! read more

We have been renting from Summit Cove for 15+ years. This year we were very disappointed. The disappointment started when we received a text before we arrived that stated we could pay extra if we wanted to check in early - really??? Please note that we did not ask to check in early and also note that nobody was staying in the townhouse the week prior to our visit. It seemed very unprofessional. A few years ago, they were repaving the parking lot and they notified us before checking in, gave a small discount and a bottle of whiskey for our troubles. When we check in last week, there was not mention of construction. When we pulled into our parking spot, it was difficult to exit the car because there were two holes and wires sticking out on both sides of the car. These holes remained there for most of the trip followed by large mounds of dirt. When not in use, the different bulldozers were parked next to our entrance. The worked started at 9 and continued the entire day. When we were in the townhouse, we constantly heard the bulldozer and digging. When we notified summit cove the response was, sorry about that. read more

We have used different property management companies over the years for vacations in Keystone Colorado and so far this has been a mediocre experience. The actual unit is nice, and the cleaning crew that we met when we first settled in the unit were nice. However the initial impression was very poor. We arrived in town early due to better than expected traffic and let the office know we were here early. We were told they would let us know if the unit was ready early and were told we could wait in the lobby where there was pool and a tv. Eventually 5-6 other groups arrived and were waiting. All of the others were in their units between 3:00-3:30. When I went back to the office at 3:45 ours was still not ready. When I inquired as to why ours was taking so long, the man at the desk was quite snippy and quoted company policy at me, "Well we don't guarantee anything until 4:00". Two other times we have arrived early and the other management companies were very gracious and made every effort to prioritize our unit. I understand that check-in is not guaranteed until 4:00 with any company, but when I am spending $5,000-10,000 for a vacation I do expect some extra effort and courteous service. When we book winter vacations, we are specific about booking ones with a hot tub. This management company advertised inside and outside hot tubs. This was incorrect. There was only an outside one and it was barely lukewarm. Horrible. We were told we had access to the next building over where there were three hot tubs that were all hot. But in 10 degree weather no one was excited about walking over 100-200 yards cold and wet. Bottom line, with so many similar units in the area, we will be careful in the future not to book again with Summit Cove Management. Their desk staff was rude, their attention to detail with the hot tub was poor, and their customer service was lacking. read more

Great service from SummitCove, comfortable properties. Always clean, good value. We stayed most recently for 2 nights in a studio with (small) full kitchen and beautiful view of the mountains. Even saw fireworks right outside the window one evening! Good size bath. Plenty of utensils and glasses, only adequate supply of plates. Didn't have a TV station guide - that was an inconvenience, but not a big deal. Always good to have WiFi of course. read more

This was the worst experience I could imagine Not supposed to check in until after 4:00, I presume because they have to make sure it's cleaned before we arrive? Guess not. Upon entering the condo, found a dead mouse in dining room and mouse fecal matter on the chairs. Called and someone came over to remove mouse. That night a toilet repeatedly backed up. Next day they sent a plumber who tried snaking it to no avail, had to leave to come back later in the afternoon (why?) to remove the cumode and as able to find and remove a key card. Bathroom floor was a mess so we called for a cleaner to clean and disinfect the bathroom. Checked out this morning, mentioned how displeased we were and a manager called to apologize for the inconvenience. She then offered $50.00 off our next stay! Trust me me, I would never come back to that agency since they were clearly not sincere about "making it right" BTW, the plumber was very polite. I assume he was not a SummitCove employee. PROSPECTIVE OWNERS OR RENTERS: AVOID ! Summit Cove as quickly as possible, especially if you have the misfortune of getting owner Peter Reeburgh on the phone. After 47+ minutes of smooth talking I thought I had a deal. Met with his representative,Leah, who told me 5 times that "this was her first time!" (Ok I get it). Turns out they don't want my property in their rental pool because I don't have a flat screen TV in the master bedroom!! Ok not a problem but the representative keep stringing me along. Never a straight answer but she did say she's been in training for a month. When I brought up the fact that her CONTRACT states nothing about a bedroom TV she had no idea. Also many other conflicts in their contract. Read through the contract quickly and you will know more that their representative. Ultimately comments from their company of " why won't you just spend another $300.00, we can do this for you" and "I just don't understand what your attachment to that TV is!" convinced me that this was NOT the management company I wanted to care for my home. Renters-I ask you, if owners have these types of problems with this management company, why would you bother? Enjoy your vacation with any one of our properly run and managed companies. Contact me- I now know many good ones. I never used Summit Cove when I rented. I now know how lucky I was. Owners- I also have a copy of "the contract" if you should care to contact me. Many pages of useless promises but it does make for boring reading. However, as their rep pointed out, most of that information is out of date. SUMMIT COVE is a NO GO in this area. Don't look far just save yourself the grief I have been through and call elsewhere. I asked multiple times for owner PETER REEBURGH to call me. As of this posting he has refused to do so responding only by email instructing ME to call HIM. Not to even bother calling. SUMMIT COVE is not a company to be involved with. Key to the Rockies and Keystone property will offer discounts and help if you rent through them. Summit Cove can't help with any discounts, or much else for that matter! read more

Be careful with booking and extra night at the end of your stay. You'll likely be locked out of your condo with nothing but ski gear and unable to gain access to your condo again for God knows how long. We've been waiting in the hallway for almost an hour. When we booked the extra night they should have either extended our key activity or brought us new keys but nope they didn't do either. Now we are wasting lunch break time sitting and waiting. read more

So, I own a property with Summit Cove and although there is always room for improvement, I think that overall Summit Cove business owners do what they can to keep their property owners happy. I am one of those owners that watch my statement carefully and question every charge. Anytime, I have had a question, I was able to talk to a member of their staff. There was a time that I was unhappy with the way some of the reservations on my condo was handled and some of the charges that were made. The Summit Cove owner called me to remedy the situation. He explained each charge and reimbersed me for a mistake that was made on one of my bills. Not living where my condo is, I need a property manager that I can trust. Someone that feel will take care of my property well. Based on my recent experience with Summit Cove, I can tell that they really care and the owner satisfaction is important to them. That makes me feel good about letting them manage my property. read more

Summitcove described the Dakota Lodge as modern and a luxury but no one salted or sanded the black ice every morning, and after 3 weeks of careful skiing, I was seriously injured right outside the front door. Summitcove could not care less and continues to advertise this death trap. read more

I had a less than desireable experience with them as a condo owner, which began with them not even bothering to send me the keys to my condo when they switched the lock over, not keeping their word on things, and not booking out my condo. They never set the expectation up front, or let me know what was going on. The only good thing I experienced with them was letting me out of my contract early so that I can try and salvage the rest of what has been the best ski season in a long time! read more

Had a big group from Texas and we stayed at Summit Cove's Cabin in the Pines #8. Awesome spacious cabin with enough beds to comfortably sleep 12 people. Had everything ready, sheets, pillows, blankets, trash bags, laundry detergent, soaps, shampoo, etc etc. All we had to bring was our toothbrush and food. Check in and check out were a breeze, and their service was great. Had heater and toilet issues but the maintenance guy came right away, even at 3am, to check on the issue and resolved them immediately. Would definitely stay here again. read more

Rented a great condo in the Gateway for our group. 4br and 4baths. Very spacious and great for winter skiing, and summer activities. The rent-by owner is very responsive and knowledgeable about the area with very competitive rates. We rented a townhome in Keystone for a 3 night family spring break trip. The condo amenities were not as advertised. First, the common area hot tubs (that still appear in Summit Cove's listing for this property) are not working. The maintenance person we called said they had been out of order for quite some time. No one from Summit Cove told us about this either at the time we made the reservation, or anytime during the next month, or when we checked in. We were left to discover it for ourselves. When we complained, they took us to look at 2 other properties. The first was not cleaned and we were told there was no one to clean it and that it was not an option for us. The second was 2 bedrooms (instead of 3 in the unit we rented), so it also didn't work. Summit Cove gave us access to hot tubs at a property that was a few miles (driving distance) away, which was not at all comparable to having a hot tub within steps of our townhome. In addition, the WiFi was not working on the property and we were also not told about that. We called again and it took a day to get it fixed. We said at checkout that we'd like to talk to someone about a refund since they hadn't offered one. A manager emailed us the next day saying the problems with the amenities were "out of their control." Ultimately their final offer was a $50 credit, and a "1 free night if you pay for 3" discount. We won't be taking them up on renting another property through their company. I don't think their listing information is reliable, and we rarely can take more than 3 days for a mountain trip. So we are left with a $50 credit towards a $1000+ bill -- hardly fair compensation. Renters beware! See Zach G's 3/13/2014 review -- sounds like the exact same thing happened to him.
