If you don't need to sleep, this is the motel for you! The door had, light, cold air and the sounds of the freeway coming into the room. We could hear everything going on in the room above us. The floors are cement. There was mold in the shower and the floors were "cleanish." The dinosaur air unit was so loud we had to turn it off and just listen to the freeway across the street and the person above us walking, zipping his luggage open and closed and making phone calls. read more

I've stayed at two Loge properties and I'm not completely satisfied with either - they seem rather expensive for what you get. Nevertheless, it's a fun concept and clearly some folks love these places. The bathroom had visible staining/dirt on the floor (see photos). The little bits of carpet by the beds are dirty. The room is dark but at least then you can't see the carpet. The chest of drawers was very rickety, like it came from a free pile. No luggage racks and nowhere to put your duffle bag except for your bed. No coffee pot to brew coffee. Their model seems to be to superficially revamp vintage (old and tired) motor lodges in mountain towns, therefore, very thin walls. Trains blow after 10pm and before 6am - see thin walls - this might wake you up. The camping looked like horse stalls. Barely enough room to park you car in the stalls. No security lock inside for you. Aside from the fact that our confirming texts and emails asserted that they were stoked to see us, our barista seemed less than stoked to serve me coffee. On the plus side, the charm of old and tired motor lodges in mountain areas is there. There are multiple fire pits that the management trusts you to operate on your own. The common spaces are clean and bright. I loved the keypad to enter the room - no key, and in this case, no hunting down staff to get a key. The room is quite spacious. The beer that you can buy until 5 pm is fantastic and there are bike rentals. The sheets were clean and the bedspreads were freshly laundered. The room was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and full sized huge windows that looked out onto the forest and some old building supplies. I am outdoorsy so i think I would be included in their demographic. I do go on ski trips and stayed at the Bend location to ski Bachelor. We could drag our stuff in and make a mess without damaging the carpet but it was still too expensive to justify the cost for the amenities. When we skied bachelor this year, we stayed across the street at the Tetherow. For $200 vs. $250, we got a hot tub, pool, sauna, cookies, snacks, a hand-written thank you note, acres of wild lands to explore, two restaurants, a spotless room, actual wine and water glasses, and a rockstar balcony with an amazing view. That was money well spent. I'd stay again - in this case, at $179/night in June for two queen beds, it was the most reasonable room in Shasta. I guess Loge is ideal for tired parents of rowdy and messy young children who want a beer at the end of the day and are happy about the s'mores and campfires and not needing to care if their kids are rough on the room. read more

LOGE Mt. Shasta is a unique lodging in which you can either stay in a hotel room, in a hostel with communal bathrooms and common areas (kitchen and lounge room, but is also open to all guests on the property) or a covered camping space (with access to the communal bathrooms and common areas). This place also has gear available for rent and purchase and also has a coffee/ cafe tap room on site. There is also a bike rental place (bikes are complementary for guests). I stayed here with my husband and our little girl dog (pet fee of $25 per stay) recently for one night. We received a text message around 10 am the morning of our check in with our hotel door code and general check in information, including WiFi password. We didn't check in until almost 6 pm later that day. We were on the 2nd floor and were able to find parking (if you stay in a hotel, it is the building on your left when you drive through the entrance. When carried our stuff upstairs (there is no elevator, just stairs) and were able to get in with the code given via text. We had a king size bed. With the pros about this place, our room had a mini fridge (no microwave), a couch and a red hammock over the bed (see my photo. There is also a heater to warm boots and numerous of hooks to hang items. There is also a TV and drinks available for purchase. You can also purchase the make your own s'mores kit for $10 that is in your room (just be aware in case you have little ones that just rip the big marshmallow bag open before asking). I like that there were several towels of various sizes in the bathroom and also liked that there was liquid hand soap instead of the bar soap (which dries out your skin). Staying at this hotel was a major let down, when I had high hopes for this place, based on the Yelp reviews. It was pretty dim in our room, as one lamp was missing a light bulb and another lamp had a light blub that wasn't working. Instead of a coffee table, there was a large Yeti cooler. It is very heavy but not really big enough to put much stuff on top. There is no hair dryer in case you wish to dry your hair (wished I had known that before washing my hair). The bathroom is incredibly cold, as there is no working vent (in case you were expecting it to be warmer if you have the heater on). The bed was incredibly soft, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. Not sure if this would bother you, but the hand soap, shampoo and conditioner are not brand new that are in your room and most likely has been used by another guest. The size of the shampoo and conditioner are 12 oz. On the night we arrived, there was an event that was being set up and music was blasting from the outdoor common space. Thank goodness it did wrap up around 9:30 pm though. Overall, I didn't enjoy my stay here and am glad we only stayed for one night. I would not stay here again. read more

Stayed in room 1. This is the worst night of sleep I've ever paid for. There's no ac in the front room, fine we opened the windows. As soon as the bars closed a truck came into the parking lot to drop another guest off shining their high beams directly into our only air source waking both my wife and I. The guest they dropped off then decided to start his massive tour bus sized camper at 3 in the morning and continued to let it idle for god knows how long directly outside our room. Just as well have slept in the truck at least I wouldn't have sweat the entire night just trying to keep it quiet in the room enough to sleep. Miserable. read more

This place is very accommodating! I did a last minute trip here with my daughter and arrive via train. They went above and beyond to get me and my daughter checked is early! The place is super clean and spacious. I would also like to add that they are very responsive. Customer service is a 10 out 5! I couldn't ask for anything better! read more

LOGE at Mt. Shasta definitely exceeded our expectations! The room is spacious, clean and includes things you'd never think of! The room has a shoe dryer, a spot to hang your snow gear, and a hammock!!! I love the modern look of this place, too! Our room had a high ceiling and made me feel like I'm at home. The bathroom is huge which makes it easy for after your snow activities. The beds are clean and comfy. They do have a "mini bar" but of course, you have to pay for whatever you take inside. They offer snacks such as popcorn, cookies, ramen- but again- you have to pay for it. Outside, they have fire pits, spots to sit and chill, a bbq grill, and they even have a coffee shop! There's a community kitchen if you need to cook something, too. LOGE is a drive down from great spots for snow play - such as Bunny Flat and Sportman's Den. A supermarket is about 5-7 mins away, too. I 10/10 recommend the LOGE to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Mt. Shasta. read more

MOLD! Mold all over shower and bathroom window. I told the registration clerk and he replied "yes" some of the rooms have mold I told him that's not okay with me, so he showed me another room, and same thing. I told him I wasn't staying and wanted a refund and he advised me to call Expedia, which I did. Expedia contacted the Manager and was told there would be no refund Thumbs up to Expedia as they gave me a credit for full amount. Loge apparently bought out Findlandia Hotel, which had been there for 100 years, and obviously needs renovations, but unwilling to invest any money. Do not recommend staying here- much better options in town than this. read more

This place is so unique and really well thought out and I love it except there are two major factor that had me give it a three which are two of the most important things for me when I go to stay at a place. The first thing is that their beds are foam And really bad for bad backs. Both my friend and I had a really bad night sleep on the bed and wish that they had just put on normal mattresses. The AC unit when we turn it on smelled moldy and so did it when we turned it on for the heat. So we just open the windows a little bit and it was perfect but in cold weather or hot weather this would not be great. Everything else was amazing and over and beyond what most lodges offer so although we would love to stay there again, we cannot with the beds being the way they are but if you like really soft beds and her unique experience, this is a wonderful place. It was very quiet in the room except for people chatting loudly outside our door but that's not the lodges issue. read more

Cute place! Love the vibe here! Great cafe on site! Easy check-in and check-out process. After a few days camping it was great to sleep on a bed and get a shower in. The hammock was a unique touch and my teenager and toddler loved it! Cons: the bike rack on the wall was barely screwed to the wall almost fell on my 1.5yr old. We put a chair under it so my daughter wouldn't walk underneath it & the table the microwave was on was a little flimsy. We were charged for mugs we didn't take but after a phone call to the property we were assured the charges would be reversed. Why is so Bad? I don't know. The coffee shop can be a local friendly hub, it is a 3-minute drive from my downtown Healing Center. Entering already feels uncomfortable. I say I need more time to browse, the "coffee maker" energy and attitude like a zombie watching me. I had to tell him immediately all in one sentence what I wanted. It is morning people! I like to think. I said ok - almond milk latte and he paused a long time waiting for me to add or pay. I say please go ahead and make a drink, I still think about pastry. He has a suspicious attitude like I will run with coffee or take advantage saying I don't have money or such. OMG! The coffee was super cold, so I asked what is the temperature. And he said he could not make the latte warmer. Why? Professional baristas will explain about the process, and temperature with pride, and excitement. Here I can not make it warm! Getto. But you make the drink barely warm, he Dump whole coffee back into the metal container and warms it. Like a drink for a pig. I am fuc..ing pig in the meat farm. I really can't say enough positive words for this place. If you're expecting bell hop service this place isn't for you. If you want a chill safe and child friendly environment this place is for you. I just lost my mother and have been feeling really sensitive. This place is a place of healing. My soul really needed to rest here. Oh yeah, if you suffer from short term memory you might need to write your passcode on your hand. You don't get a room key just a door code. Lol. I didn't like. There were 3 of us and we requested 2 queen beds, they only gave us 2 blankets. The ventilation is old and noisy, you can't sleep unless you pull the plug off. One big con is the walls and ceilings are THIN we heard every step they took, were really loud walking in and out of their room constantly at 11:30pm for about 30minutes. We heard every move they made and our room was by the stairs so we heard every step someone took down them which is really annoying at odd hours. Stayed three nights over Labor Day weekend 2023. I was in room 28. Neighbor in next room 29 had two large dogs left alone in the room all day and until about 1:30 am. First two nights - not too much sleep. I texted the front office and they messaged the guest who came back to the room. I spent about $850.00 for three nights and asked management for a two night comp for the time the dogs were barking. They refused. They said they understood that I might not stay there again, but not comp. The buck is mightier than customer satisfaction. We loved the fire pits, s'mores kits, lattes and bagels in the morning from The Cafe. The beds were super comfy and our room was very clean. We were planning a trip to go up and see the snow in Mount Shasta and was recommended the LOGE camps by my brother so we decided to go ahead and book a night at this location. The LOGE was very communicative before the upcoming day to check in. Emails and texts were sent out every day to better improve our stay. Checking in was as simple as getting a four digit code and showing up to your designated room. Upon walking in the room we noticed how clean and welcoming it was. The bathroom was well-maintained and included two showerheads. However, I wish that there was a place in the bathroom to set your toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaver, etc. This did not feel like a hotel at all; It definitely gave me a house-like feel with raised ceilings, a microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, a heater/air conditioner, and even a hammock that drapes over both beds. The TV was quite small but I liked the option of signing in to your streaming accounts like netflix, Disney + etc. They do have other things in the room that you can take, but will be charged at your bill upon check out like a souvenir hat, beanie, blanket and hammock. A wine/bottle opener is also provided in the room. There are snacks in a box along with the drinks in the fridge for purchase as well. They even provided a SHOE DRYING gadget for your wet shoes which helped sooo much as well as a mount for your ski gear. Besides the room being awesome, there is a small café/bar, an office, meeting room, a rental center and a kitchen located in the front for guests to share. Something I really loved about the place is that they have plenty of space for outdoor gatherings! Designated fire pits/ bbq pits are spaced out and located around the LOGE. Speaking of fire pits, they also provide fire wood and s'mores supplies which is a huge bonus! The parking lot is decent, but I can see it getting packed during the busy season so try and get there early! We weren't sure how to check out so we called the front desk and told them our room number and check out time. The LOGE camps is at Avery convenient location up to mount shasta, with a nearby supermarket, gas station and snow gear store. I highly recommend checking out bunny flats for your snow activities! Was looking for a spot to stay close to McCloud Falls Trail, and came across this AMAZING hidden gem! This place is chic and catered to the outdoor enthusiast. The owners had obviously put a lot of thought into the amenities available for travelers and it is greatly appreciated! We ended up renting a 2 bedroom unit and the AC was blasting and it was so clean and welcoming. Check in process was a breeze, they text you the unit number and access code so all you have to do is go straight to your room. They have stuff to use and for sale in the room (think a mini bar but very practical things) and it makes it very convenient if you happened to forget something for your outdoor adventure (hats, beanies, mugs, cooler, etc). They've got spots on the walls to hang your bikes and gear. They even had a hammock in the living room area! On site, there is an outdoor BBQ area, and have stuff for s'mores in the room if you'd like to partake (for a price, I'm sure). Bar is also available on site, and had some tasty brews. Will definitely be coming back and will be staying longer next time to get the full Mt. Shasta experience. read more

My wife and i stood in A second story room no elevator just stairs, which didn't bother me too much but its a bit of a hassle hauling up our stuff. The room was decent enough, its decorated nice, and theres all kinds of racks installed for coats, bikes whatever else you got. There was a hammock across the room, which we considered trying but shortly realized its a potential death trap. As the anchoring of it did not feel or look sturdy. Again i can look passed that I'm not here to sleep in a hammock. The shower is tiny and probably the most uncomfortable shower I've ever been in. The liquid soaps were all half empty (used), the tp roll in bathroom also wasn't brand new (used about half way). We had a decent sleep. Checkout is at 11am, so we got up a few hours earlier to shower and get ready to leave. Around 9:30-10 while i was in the shower some random girl walks into our room while my wife was in bed. And then leaves once she sees my wife there. When I'm done she tells me and we have no idea who this person was. They just said sorry and left. My sister was also with us staying in a room downstairs and i share this with her. She asks me if i used my door lock. And thats when i realize our door doesn't even have a lock! So now our sense of safety is shaken because how many people are they giving our room code to with no way of keeping ourselves safe while we were sleeping. We then realize the girl who walked in was housekeeping, her and another girl were going back and forth in other rooms around us. And again a couple time almost walking in again because we can hear them using our key pad on our door. All of this before 11am, before checkout. Never once knocking or announcing themselves as staff. Before we leave i bring this up to the 2 guys at the cafe/front office, and they agree they shouldn't have even tried to open our door before checkout. And i tell them about our room not having locks when my sisters room did. And all they did was say "sorry", and their reason was that "they haven't gotten around to installing locks on all the doors yet." ... i don't understand how you can fully furnish a room, install a handful of fixtures around each room, sell bookings for these rooms, but somewhere last on their to do list is to install a lock to ensure their guests safety. Also another thing to add is that my sisters room down stairs had an open window that they didn't realize was open until the next morning. I really wouldn't recommend this place. We had an excellent stay at the Finlandia Hotel. Although the decor was dated our room had a kitchen, table, 2 chairs, couch, living room and also separate bedroom. The heater worked great. We used the sauna and had great night sleeps after skiing. Ross and CJ were very helpful in the manager office and exceeded expectations. Thank you to our friends at Finlandia, looking forward to the renovation and will be back.! read more

We came with a group of friends who told us about this place, and I'm in love! The rooms are fun and include a place to hang bikes and your snowboards depending on the time of year you come. They have a community kitchen that is out of this world. There is also a community area with games to play not to mention Traeger grills to use and a firepit. Your room comes with a Yeti to borrow for your stay. There WiFi, TV and a refrigerator and microwave. And a fun hammock as well. We've already decided to come back again. The price is super affordable. I do wish they had blow dryers, but the front office did loan me one. I'll know the next time we visit! The staff is kind and super helpful. Not only scuff marks on the walls, but also dusty and crumb-filled corners, a few curly hairs in the bathroom, and dirty floors. I'm kind of torn on this review. I like the place. I like the vibe they are going for and with the really neat aesthetic overhaul they have done. However I feel I was given the bait and switch a little bit here. We got an online deal which made it look like a fantastic deal. But in actuality we got what we paid for. You should know there are two different main buildings here. One is on the website. Those have vaulted ceilings and are larger rooms. The other building is a classic old school motel style boxy small rooms. We got the latter. Nowhere on their website do they show these rooms. While the sleeping arrangements (. Ie Queen and sofa) were true, the room was not the one in the pictures. Moreover. It was loud. You hear everything. I maybe got 5 hours of sleep and I drink lots of beer and sleep like a bear so I don't typically notice that stuff. The bed was great though, but the noise ruined it. There is no live tv really, they just have smart TVs so you need to log into your accounts on their apps to watch tv. Also don't forget to log out. I watched " Lillies " neflix, " Carl's" Hulu and " Drew's" Amazon prime. Thanks by the way Drew, whoever you are. It was just a bummer because we knew it was going to be cold so intended on watching Sunday and Monday night football but we couldn't watch any of it. It's a pretty cool place, I probably would have not been so annoyed that I felt taken advantage of had it not been covid. Had there been live music, or people socializing outside. If there was anywhere to ride one of their free bikes, or even if they actually had beer on tap as they advertised. But we only had a room and it's not the one I thought we paid for. If your directions for check in say " your building is the first one on the left" I'd scramble to see if you can find something closer to town. One last tip. If you want a latte in the morning, The cafe doubles as the hotel office so it's really the front desk clerk trying to work the espresso machine and foam your milk. 1. This means there will be a line that moves very slowly even on weekdays and 2. It's not terribly gratifying. It's faster to drive down the street (2minutes) to Seven Suns Coffee and you will get a legit coffee drink. It's also a really cute place. (I learned this my second day and scored points with the wife for figuring it out) read more

My first choice when staying in Mount Shasta. I've been staying here for 3 years now i travel up and down from California to Washington and this has has been my favorite resting point location. Its close to the downtown stores and shops. The location area is safe ive left my vehicle unlocked accidentally so many times and never had anything go missing. I highly recommend this location. I have young 3 daughters and i usually dont feel safe staying in small towns but this place is safe and we have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. I highly recommend this place. read more

Yuck!! Came to ski mount Shasta with friends. We stayed at this finlandia lodge and we were totally ripped off! We paid $779 for a 3 bedroom shack for three nights. This place is dirty, REALLY outdated, and has not been maintained with any concern for a guests comfort. When I say dirty: scummy shower, grimy walls, nasty yellow ceiling in the dining room, cobwebs, ripped sofas, sticky light switches and kitchen cupboards etc. We had to purchase our own dish soap to clean dishes and paper towels. The downstairs beds were literally broken and the kitchen faucet was barely functioning. I gave it two stars for how close it was to the ski park and for clean bath towels. They did compensate us for the trouble and apparently have cleaned up since our visit. Good Luck. read more

Have stayed at the LOGE two weekends in a row, one weekend in a room and the following in a camping stall. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable with a fun, hip, outdoorsy vibe- bike hooks and hammocks in the rooms. Camping stalls are level, private and have power!? We enjoyed the cafe for coffee in the morning and the grilling area for games and beer in the evening. Best hotel in Mt Shasta and they're definitely taking COVID seriously! read more

We stayed at Loge for 3 nights in May 2021. I found them via a search for accessible hotel rooms. I chose an accessible room option on a hotel booking app but was skeptical. Even before the trip, I was concerned as to whether the shower would be accessible or not. A week before our stay, I received a text message with the login code for our hotel room which was nice. You can skip the wait when you arrive and go right to your hotel room. I still didn't know what parking would like, or what the accessible hotel room would entail. However, when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see a specially-marked parking spot right in front of the room (I refuse to say "disabled or handicap parking"). My loved one had no trouble entering the room. There wasn't more than a small desk chair to sit in so I was grateful we brought a more comfortable camping chair to sit in. In addition to the lack of comfortable seating, the beds were pushed a bit close together and were low to the ground. There was no space for my loved one's walker & with no bars around the bed, getting up at night was a struggle, especially with the slippery wood floor. I ended up moving the door mat to the side of the bed which helped but my loved one still had to scoot down the side and generally had a difficult time pushing up out of bed. I noticed that if they could push one of the two beds closer to the wall or window (depending on the side), there would be enough space for a walker or possibly a smaller wheelchair to fit in between the beds which would make getting into/out of a low bed easier. It might also help to offer an optional bar to put next to the bed. However, as much as the beds lacked accessibility, the bathroom was the definition of accessible. With an included wide shower chair, bar handles, & a double wide roll in shower, all the fears about showering away from home were washed away. At night, the room did get a bit hot even with the noisy air conditioner but in the day, it was pleasant. Noise was never an issue and overall the grounds were clean and quiet. This is the old Finlandia motel which used to be quite rundown so the amount of money invested in renovating it was evident. Amenities include a small cafe that sells some local brews and Oregon wine along with coffee during the day, a full kitchen for communal use, and an outdoor fire pit/bar area to relax in. Place sucks, rude GM and front desk staff, stay away. Spend your money somewhere else. Seem to cater to locals, seem like the type to complain about out of town visitors but don't realize their livelihood depends on us. read more

Pluses: Retro furniture, 1960s/70's feel, cable TV, price, a cool cat hanging out on the premises, spacious rooms, very quiet after hours so you can get a decent night's sleep, jacuzzi and sauna on the premises. Minuses: Washrooms need to be cleaned with bleach. Shower drain was slow. Doors need to be soundproofed because you can hear every last thing going on outside your room.
