This hotel is name The tree house and I think it really gives that vibe with the decor, laid back feel while being nestled around beautiful tree lines. There's shops nearby and easy access to the highway. I will definitely return. Beautiful getaway

The separate sink outside of the bathroom

The Mountain View room was comfortable and clean. What I loved was the A+ air conditioning, having a separate sink outside of the bathroom and good water pressure in the shower. The king bed was very comfortable as well. Super glad I took my pillow as the pillows were very firm. It was quiet and cozy.

Mini-fridge and microwave

We had a Mountain View 1 Queen bed for three nights. It was a small room but comfortable. There are two sinks, a small refrigerator (no freezer section) and small microwave, and a single cup coffee maker. Our room was on the ground floor and had two entrances; one in the interior hallway, and the second directly to the outside with a small patio and providing convenient access to the parking lot. It was very convenient for unloading and loading our car on arrival and departure. The air conditioner is relatively quiet so we were able to get a good night's sleep each night. My cell phone charger would not fit in any of the outlets in the table lamps. I had to charge it in the bathroom. There are no other available wall outlets. I recommend you bring an extension cord if your charger is large. The towels are on the thin and small size and we were only provided one of each per person. We could have called for additional towels but didn't bother. My husband wants me to mention that the television remote has minimal functions, making it hard to choose channels. For a hotel with a pool and hot tub, which we used, you'd think the shower would have a line to hang and dry swimsuits. Instead, we hung them over the shower curtain bar and dripped water onto the floor. There are four Tesla chargers on the premises and they are installing a number of general EV charging stations on the south and west side of the hotel. The location can't be beat. It's an easy walk to the main drag of Mount Shasta. There is a supermarket, hardware store, autoparts store and a bank across the parking lot from the hotel. While not the best hotel, Best Western name withstanding, it is one of the nicer places we've stayed during our many visits to Mount Shasta and we plan to stay here again on our next trip.

The wand from the curtains

I have stayed here many times and am here now. The gal that checked me in was terrible. I asked for a certain room, and she just said "that would be like twice as much". Mind you, I have stayed in that area all of the time. I asked again how much more... never looking at her computer she again said "like twice as much". I took the room she gave me, boring since the hotel is quiet. I went to close curtains and the wand is broken and on the ledge. There are lots of options here, may look in to them!!

View of Mt. Shasta from our private balcony

Cute cabin feel! Walking distance to downtown. Incredible views! We stayed in room 333 on 8/4/2025. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were clean and comfortable, pillows were perfect - and I have a difficult time with pillows because of my neck. Having two sinks was nice, one just outside the bathroom, and one inside the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied were one of my favorites, high quality. The AC worked very well. We had a balcony with a view of Mt. Shasta. What a glorious view! Yes, it is very close to Hwy 5, but I only heard a small amount of road noise while on the balcony, never in the room. The indoor pool is very large and crystal clear. The spa was not available because they were replacing the heater, but at least the gentleman checking us in told us that upon check in. We were expecting the breakfast that we have become accustomed to at a BW Plus, so I was surprised to hear that it was not included with our room. Vouchers are available for their on-site restaurant for a fee. There are a couple of restaurants, a grocery store and a hardware store across the street. Lots of cute shops on the Main Street just a couple of blocks away. Trees surround the property. It was nice to sit on the private balcony and watch the birds fly around with Mt. Shasta in the background. The picture is one that we took from our balcony. Gorgeous!

The room was first floor near the stairs and smoking area outside, but that was not a problem at all. The room was clean, towels and bedding were clean and crisp. I liked the welcome note on the bed. That was really sweet of them! The room had a microwave and small fridge w/freezer. There was a small office desk with coffee and ice. Tv, a/c, heater unit. Two things to note: 1. If you use 3 ports to charge at the clock on the nightstand, it uses too much power and one of the electronics needs to be unplugged. There are wall outlets, so you'd need to use those. 2. We didn't have a shower curtain when we arrived. I thought it was one of those modern places where it's just open, but we definitely needed a shower curtain. I felt so bad showering and getting everything wet in the bathroom. Housekeeping was kind to answer quickly and gave us towels to clean up. The fan in the bathroom isn't that effective. I suspect they'll have a mold problem in the future. The light switch to the bathroom is on the outside, which I thought was odd. Other than that, we had a pleasant one night stay. We would stay here again!

I was notified there would be construction from 9 to 5 which wasn't a problem for me as I was arriving after 5 and leaving before 9. What was a problem was that the parking lot was roped off so you had to park on the outer edges rather than in front of the room, I was in 18. This was a bit of an issue for me as one of the reasons I booked was that just coming off of a knee replacement I wanted a room that I could park directly in front of. If they had disclosed this, I would have gone somewhere else. Secondly, the pillow situation was pretty horrible, old feather pillows which flattened down to nothingness, no support at all. The heating unit was one of those old wall units with a really loud fan, so couldn't keep that on. Hot and cold water difficult to get in shower, so either scald or lukewarm. there was no space to put items above sink on tiny shelf. I would not stay there again.

The staff is fantastic, the rooms are perfectly clean, they welcome our furbabies (even have a dog exercise area & towels!), it's walking distance to downtown for dinner, the beds are super comfy, the tap water is probably the best I've ever tasted, they have a self-service (coin) laundry room, a great communal deck, and (last but not least) you can park right in front of your room. Stay here, it's wonderful. See you soon CCI!

From the time I booked to the time we checked out, the timing of their communication and the amount of information was perfect. The emails before our trip helped us prep, the ones the day of check-in helped us remember the code we'd need and where to park. We had opportunities to ask questions or voice concerns during our stay if needed and the reminders for check-out were helpful. When I host guests at my house, I do everything I can to anticipate needs to make their stay as welcoming as possible. There are so many facets to hospitality. To say I was absolutely blown away by the level of care these owners put into their property is an understatement! When you read the other reviews about the cleanliness of the property/rooms, the fantastic communication and the attention to detail, believe them. Not only were the amenities more than we needed, but they anticipated our needs before we knew we'd have them. They're THAT good! I don't want to spoil all the surprises so if you find yourself in Room 201, you'll know. ;-) As we departed, we scanned the room several times, but yep, we woke up in the middle of the night realizing we had forgotten some important healing tools my boyfriends uses for his business. Dawn received a 2:10am email and before 12noon, she and the team located our items and had made arrangements to get those back to us. Such superior and swift customer service! This property is centrally located so we could explore as much or little as we wanted and it was perfect for my boyfriend's birthday weekend. We make it a point to stay at Mt Shasta Ranch when we drive to the Bay Area from Seattle. Each and every time we have been warmly welcomed with fresh homemade cookies, coffee and tea, as well as wine in the afternoon. I especially enjoy sundown on the front veranda with blankets, our beverage of choice, a wonderful view of Mount Shasta and the beautiful countryside. The mansion, built in 1923, is well kept and spotless. There is a large dining room with a billiard table and many windows where one can read and watch finches and other birds at the bird feeders. There's also a cozy living room with a fireplace and a lovely wood fire when it is chilly outside. Each time they have offered our choice of rooms when available and been treated like family.
