This was a wonderful experience. Had a leak in my roof, needed repair in a hurry due to pending in the next few days. Reached out to Summit and got a fairly quick response to set up time for Nathan to come out. After reviewing the property and understand our plans and goals we got on our way for plans and quote. We received beautiful plans to send to the city,which summit took care of. The quote was also very fair and reasonable for the work that was planned. Thank you, Summit Remodeling! The heavy rains of 2024 made the poor condition of my roof to obvious to ignore. I educated myself on roofing and shopped around, soliciting bids, which made Summit the obvious choice. First, we selected materials. Energy efficiency is important to me, so Nathan helped me select high-quality Owens-Corning shingles with the highest possible Solar Reflectance Index to reduce my Summer cooling needs. Attic venting improvements were also considered, which will do a great job keeping the house cooler in the summer. This will help me save a great deal of money in the future, so Nathan's help here continue to be valuable for decades to come. Next, the work started. Literally 63 years of shingles and questionable roofing were stripped away, down to the plank sheathing. Extra attention was given to ensuring that no nails or debris were around the house, which I appreciated. Damaged wood was replaced with high-quality materials. The inspector left happy with the work, which is very reassuring. The roof reinstall was pretty quick and efficient. Modern underlayment was used and the shingles were laid, with a lot of attention to detail to ensure that every aspect was performed with quality. I inspected the work every day when the workers left and never found an issue. Even better, we had heavy wind and rains since and no problems were identified. With the 10 year workmanship warranty and 50 year materials warranty, I won't have anything to worry about. Nice! We had Summit Remodeling come out to patch our roof after some shingles blew off in the Santa Ana winds. Initially, they suggested that we should replace most of the shingles on the roof, which we didn't want to do at this time. They agreed to do the patch, gave us a fair price, and were in and out in a single day. They also offered us a discount if/when we choose to redo the roof in the future. We had some shingles blow off during the Santa Anas so we got five different estimates for a repair and four of the five said we needed a new roof. The estimates for the new roof really varied (one was over double the estimate we chose and they varied on the number of square feet of shingles by over a 1000 square feet). We were requesting the same materials and warranty from all four. After comparing the estimates we chose Summit Remodeling and they finished today and we couldn't be happier.
