I can't say enough good things about this fish store and the incredible people who work there. When…read moremy tank unexpectedly sprang a leak, I was completely overwhelmed and stressed. It felt like everything was happening at once -- and I truly needed guidance, reassurance, and kindness in that moment. Love was absolutely amazing. Not only knowledgeable, but genuinely compassionate and patient. I never once felt rushed or dismissed -- just supported. Rumi also went above and beyond, answering my emails almost instantly and making sure I had the information I needed right away. That level of responsiveness made all the difference during a stressful situation. What could have been a total disaster turned into a reminder that there are still businesses that truly care about their customers. Their kindness, expertise, and willingness to help meant more to me than I can express. If you're looking for a fish store that treats you like family and stands by you when things go wrong, this is the place. I'm incredibly grateful. They've also given me piece of mind for my future vacations

Zero if I could. What an awful experience. The CO owner lied to me, she told me she could work with…read moreme on a dead fish, I should've known that it was too good to be true. Having driven 45 minutes to the store with my water sample, which I tested against test strips, don't buy those, I was told the phosphates were too high. They don't include phosphates as a red flag unless they're going to deny you. My nitrate was too high? Nitrate is a normal part of a tank cycle. I've never qualified buying new fish based on having to do a tank change the day before purchase. And phosphate! Serious? Do you even sell that test kit? I've never seen it before. After spending $500 in one week you could do me the courtesy of saying "bring a water sample, it doesn't matter we're not giving you a thing." Notes: they are super friendly and helpful when you're buying something. Just don't expect much. They had a dead fish in one of the tanks that my son pointed out that had been there for at least a day. At least that's what the pleco was thinking. Now, find the tank. They have a 48 hour doa policy. They won't budge, trust me. Ask my seven year old who spent $35 on a butterfly pleco only to have it die within a week. $17.50 would have been enough for me, more than fair I said. Finally, even if you live in Elizabeth or Parker, and you are five minutes away from the store, drive the extra 45 minutes to Wheat Ridge and go to The Fish Den. Tell Michael Jason sent you. They have a better rating than MC Aquatics. Here are my readings according to an API freshwater master test kit ($40 at petsmart) Ph 7.4 High range pH 7.8 Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrate 0 ppm Nitrite 0 ppm See the pic below. Finally Phosphates: that's a joke. Good luck knowing that. You're welcome. Next time you tell someone nitrate is a 39, make sure that you tell them what the safe range is. And to think, you guys normally charge $6.00 for a water check. Buy your own test kit and save yourself the headache. Date of incident, June 17, 2025 Water sample from the same day.

I am convinced these people are aware that they are getting puppies from a puppy meal wherever…read moretheir breeder is out of state. We've bought two puppies from them about 15 years apart and both of them had serious medical issues. Most recently we had to put down within 10 months of getting her. The person that was talked to at the store had no empathy that dog had died and said well that happens sometimes. you're required to sign a one year guarantee that if the pet passes away within that time, you may be entitled to a refund. That form right there seems wrong of itself Despite the puppy having a genetic disorder, no one has zero empathy that your pet just died no matter how old it is. When you get defensive right off the bat about having to sign a piece of paperwork, you know you're doing something wrong. I hope the pain of guilt you felt when we told you that Chloe died sticks with you for the rest of forever. They said they were not going to change any of their practices and have been doing the same thing for over 50 years. This is extremely concerning to me and will be reported to the local Humane Society the Better Business Bureau and anyone else we can think of in order to stop puppies from being sold at this location. Whatever your reply is business owner you can't stop us now. Enjoy looking at the puppy that you is no longer with us.

As I started my new hobby of aquatics, aquatic dog was a store I constantly went to as I prefer not…read moreto support big store companies and this store was the closest fish store to me. ive spent hundreds of dollars here at this point and while I am aware of this hobby being an expensive one. that doesn't excuse the problems I have with this place: to start, the hospitality here is extremely poor. as I've stated, I've spent hundreds of dollars here that I do regret (the prices are absurd) but on top of it to walk into a store more than 5 times and feel like I am I am bothering the staff there just by walking in... Genuinley never got a "hi welcome in", a smile, or any kind of indication that as a customer, new one at that is welcome in their store. I was fed up with this by the last time I had gone on Thursday 03/26/25, I had spent an absurd amount of money on drift wood and plants after feeling like a bother walking in once again, the guy that helped me was so disregarding of my presence so I felt like I couldn't just say, "never mind, this custoner service is not up to any standard". they clearly don't care about customers other than the profit they make off of them. sad to see this in small businesses like such, but it's not all of them. About Fish in Westminister is an amazing choice for fish stores in denver, despite it being a busy Saturday, they came up to me to help and made the entire experience comfortable for me. Do better AquaDog.
