When I was finally able to book, I accept his bid and scheduled the install and repairs for a Tuesday. Tuesday morning by came and I woke up to a text stating he couldn't make it and wanted to reschedule for the following day. I was annoyed at the last minute cancel, as I had prepped all the areas, but I agreed. The next morning came and I waited (I had reached out hours before asking for a confirmation but nothing, I figured he was busy) an hour after he was scheduled to arrive still nothing. I called, no answer and I left a voice mail, no response. Through the day I texted, I messaged through Yelp, I emailed him through his companies website, I called a couple more time and never once received a response. This was an expensive job that wasn't easy for us to afford and I was really excited to finally have this done. To be completely ignored and not even given the courtesy of a response to say he decided not to go ahead with the job, or he felt intimidated by the complicated sink, it was unacceptable. His own website touts that he stays in communication with the client throughout the entire process, well FAIL, big big fail. Not only did he disappoint me, but he put me out of time and effort I spent cleaning and prepping the areas so that he would have an easier time working. I held off posting this thinking maybe he had an accident maybe he couldn't get to a phone or check his email, but it's been a few days and the benefit of the doubt has faded. This is not how you run a business or how you treat customers. Now I have to look for a new plumber who won't be scared off by a fancy sink and simple communication.

We called JDK for the same issue we had experienced a year prior, which generally has to be performed once a year after our rainy season begins. Being as he had done the job before we just assumed he would arrive prepared. He tried to fit us in immediately because he would be passing our home on the way back to Redding and would make a quick buck on the way. He arrived with no tools. No snake. Which was what the job required and he was told this when we called. He arrived and proceeded to shove our garden hose in the pipe, which then became stuck. After two hours, I intervened and shut that down and asked that he return with the appropriate tools. He returned the next day with the snake. The woman that accompanied him absolutely tore our lawn to shreds spinning his truck tires. He snaked the pipe, but spent most of the time sitting in his truck because his "hands were cold". We paid him $275. The next day we had to call him because the situation was not improved. We called him to return to complete the work. We have spoken with him several times by phone and there is always some excuse. Witness in a court case. His friend had his phone and he couldn't make or receive calls. He had to stay up all night on a job at the casino. Two weeks of phone tag and excuses. Finally arrived on Monday. Spent 10 minutes snaking the line and left. Hopefully this time fixes it. Very unreliable. Will never call on this business again.

Super nice guy, easy to deal with, clear communicator, and seems (it's twice now) to get jobs done in less time than his own estimates. Edgewood has now been a life saver for us, not just once, but twice. First time we called Edgewood, was after getting a pretty high estimate from Earls... we didn't want to have to replace a whole toilet and the tech they sent didn't seem to want to work, rather he wanted to upsell. So, when Vince came out from Edgewood, he said he'd just cut the bolt and install a new one. That's all it took. Super easy, super quick and affordable. And, it was literally a 4th of what a whole new toilet would have cost us. This second time was just as easy and headache free to use Edgewood. Replace a water pressure regulator and boom, done. So easy. I'll be calling Edgewood for all our plumbing problems for both our houses from here on out and I suggest you do the same!
