They make you sign an affidavit to pull homeowner permits, avoiding responsibility if issues arise. They subcontract builders not affiliated with the company, leading to finger-pointing when problems occur. They cut corners, and after final payment, they won't fix issues (it's been 6 months and keep saying they'll get to it). I experienced siding falling off, poorly built deck railings (not according to plans), leaks, missing vapor barriers, and incorrect fasteners. We are only left with one option to sort this out and unfortunately it'll be the legal way. Don't be me and do your due diligence prior to signing any documents.
