I would recommend that any small business carefully evaluate its options before entering into a contract with this company. Unfortunately, they were our only viable alternative in the Lake Nona area, aside from Spectrum. While Spectrum provided a best-effort service and experienced outages roughly once a month, we ultimately decided to switch. We moved to Summit Broadband under an SLA agreement with dedicated fiber, paying nearly five times what we had been paying with Spectrum for what was expected to be the same--or better--level of service. However, the support has been significantly worse than Spectrum's. During business hours, support is mediocre at best, and after hours, calls are handled by a secretary who only takes messages. Additionally, the service has proven to be highly unreliable. Based on our experience, we would have preferred an LTE-based solution over continuing with Summit Broadband. read more

Do not use this company for your Internet service. The customer service is nonexistent and the technicians are rude. To get anything done I have gone to multiple supervisors. If you are looking at a home in the central Florida area that is within an HOA, make sure that HOA does not use Summit broadband as it's Internet provider. It is worth living in a different neighborhood or paying twice as much for your Internet service to not go with this company. We have had multiple issues with outages, modems not working, and general rudeness from customer service since we moved to Florida in August 2025. We did not know that this company was as bad as it is until we had to deal with them firsthand. Today a technician came to replace our modem for the second time and he needs to be fired. His name is Carlos and he has no business working with the public. Thankfully, our HOA is switching Internet providers in August and we won't have to deal with this company anymore. This may be the worst and most dismissive internet provider I have ever dealt with. I live in an upscale apartment complex that has a contract and almost forces you to use summit. I work from home and need 24/7 internet access for my desktop which they have failed to deliver time and time again. Shortly after I first moved in I began paying for gigabit internet and it took them over 6 months to ensure the appropriate broadband speeds. Turns out they had leased me an out of date router incapable of the speeds they promised. That topped with the frequent loss of internet throughout our entire development I do not recommend this service to anyone. I have lost out on multiple contracts over the past 2 years due to loss of my internet during data transfers. The best part about all of this is they have refused to any sort of compensation in regards to their lack of ability to do the one thing required of them. All I want is some account credit on my internet because they're not living up to their end of things but that's even too much to ask... honestly use anyone but summit, spectrum, version, whatever. I had AT&T fiber in my last home. It always worked perfectly, never any downtime. Now in my new home, we are getting Summit Broadband through our HOA, which has been a very different experience. I work from home, and the wi-fi frequently stops working while I'm in meetings, which is incredibly frustrating and embarrassing. I'm now at a point where I connect to the hotspot on my phone before meetings to ensure that I have a stable connection. It is laughable that my phone gets better service than a fiber-to-the-home product. I see there is a fluster of bad reviews here already, and I would encourage all other customers to keep them coming until this company starts improving their service. read more

Four years into bulk cable agreement with Summit Broadband and service is worse than ever and that is after re-wiring close to 90 buildings. Had a meeting with Summit executives and one remarked about our "concrete" buildings - as if the concrete buildings were not here when all they saw were $$$ signs and jumped in. Summit cannot fix their epic business fail with On Top of the World. Summit needs to call in a fiber optic company to redo their work from the ground up. Summit used fly-by-night contractors with inadequate training, no procedural checklist and sub-standard equipment. And when there is an outage and they have your email address on file, they do not send the emails to all people. Summit has decimated the quality of life for thousands of residents when all we want is to Google and watch TV. The CEO does not respond to mailed letters, as if he does not have admins to assist, but he is there to collect our money as our rates go up every single year. this service has got to be the worst internet service provider I've ever experienced. our HOA was sold on this garbage, and now our community is stuck with it until the contract expires. I've had multiple outages, to the tune of three and four per day. I call and schedule an appt and they come out tell me light levels are good and that they will have the NOC put a monitor on it . when I call back in because it goes out yet again, I find that there never was a monitor on my circuit, Last visit, tech shows up disconnects the ONT then calls his NOC and asks if they can tell him the history of the ONT and they tell him that it looks like it just booted up (his doings) and that they can no longer see the history. It almost seemed intentional. It's so bad, that I just ordered Spetcrum just to ensure I have reliable service Because my wife and I both work from hone and need reliability .. will still have continue to pay for Summit through my HOA though, so as far as I'm concerned they can keep coming out to fix services that aren't being used. read more

Might be the worst customer service we have had from any internet service provider since the internet was created. Takes me back to the old dial up days where service would go out every couple of days and you were waiting hours to see it return. Their internet gets so slow and bogged down the service notices are literally days late. Outage notices will come out after the service has been fixed. When you talk to customer service reps they all say, sorry my computer is so slow in looking up your account. You are a tech company for goodness sakes - taking better care of your reps and the systems they work on seems like a good start. And no HOA should ever be able to lock the community into a monopoly if the service provider can't meet 99.99% uptime. read more

So here we are again... Been on hold for 40 minutes can't get a real person in chat. I was scheduled last week to have my modem and router replaced. The replaced the modem but did have a router... thought a week was long enough to get the router in so I called to follow up. Customer care responded to my review last week say give us a call... well I called why don't you answer your phone. I guess I could drive around the 4000 plus unit complex to see if I can find the only Summit tech to be told to call but that seems to be a waste of time. In three months of residential service my experience is that the service fluctuates wildly , considerably underperforms, and at times going down completely ( yesterday Dec 13). Bottom line, Summit Broadband is not meeting its performance promise and not yet ready for prime time. Summit Broadband should reduce their monthly fees according to the performance of their system. read more

The service is terrible, dropping out often for no reason with active speeds skirting around 1/6th the advertised amount. Their customer service however by far is the most pitiful. 3 hours wait times on the phone, being forced to use Facebook to find a living person to assist and waiting days for an email response... Mike Perez did a terrific job servicing my internet and cable connections. Even though he replaced my modem, I still couldn't get the cable connection to work. He hunted down the source of the problem--the fiber needing to be replaced. Then before he drove off, he asked to come back and check my main box, discovering yet another problem: an older model that couldn't connect to the newer modem. Although he didn't have a newer model box with him, he vowed to check with other service members today to see if they might have one so he could get it from one if them on the road and then bring it me later in the day so I would have my TV video working for the rest of the weekend. They offer 1 mbp on the internet, If the equipment is connected to the modern, you may get 750. All other equipment connected wireless is around 160 to 175. Very unreliable service with numerous interruptions, especially internet. I had a simple cable box exchange scheduled between 3-5 pm. No one called or showed up. When I called the home office and left my number for a call back, no one ever called. He asked for an email explaining the problem (pasted below) I am responding to my comment response from Summit Broadband per the comment from John S. (see the attached screen shot) Unbelievably, the problem got much worse after I posted this comment. The call center did finally call back two hours after I requested a call back. Most times the call back message is either never offered as an option, or after a half-hour wait on hold to irritating elevator music. Anyway, during the call back, I told them about the no-show, no-call response and the service was rescheduled to the following day. Guess what, it was a no-show, no-call again!! I called and spoke to a supervisor who assured me the third appointment would solve the problem. The service tech showed up within the window of time, but did not call previous to knocking on the door. He replaced the DVR box and left. We discovered that the channel menu was unpopulated with "no data" so we couldn't record any future programs. The tech had some sort of problem setting up the box (I didn't overhear the conversation however). He certainly didn't mention that the guide was unpopulated. So the online help person tried to troubleshoot the problem unsuccessfully and scheduled a fourth call for the simple DVR replacement request. I turns out that it took time for the guide data to populate which took some number of hours. Neither the tech nor the service call personnel told me this information The supervisor credited my account $60 as a token for my frustration and poor service, but I have no confidence the problems won't continue. We have numerous internet outages in our neighborhood (Lakes of Mount Dora). I have reached out to two of the homeowner representatives with no response from either of them. Side note: all during the three appointments, there was an automated message about possible internet problems for our specific neighborhood, but thankfully, we still had internet service. The recorded message had an old date, but continued to play for at least two days (may still be there, not sure). All I want is to get reliable service for what I am already paying for - internet, cable, and hardware. I am totally unsatisfied with your service for obvious reasons. I have already posted about the horrible customer experience I had with this company while I lived at Pixon. Just when I thought it could not get any worse, this company said "hold my beeer." I moved out in July of this year and made sure to call and cancel my service in plenty of time. I was told that since I had already paid for the month, I would receive a refund in the amount of $31.45. Fast forward to September 5, I had a virtual chat with Clara, who informed me that there was some sort of error and I would have to wait 4-6 weeks to get a check. Fast forward again to today (Oct 13th), still no check, so I get on chat again and get good ole Clara again, who proceeds to tell me, "I'm sorry, I do see the request I put in and it has not been sent out. One moment while I look into that for you. I have escalated the ticket. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the next billing cycle." I tell Clara that it is not good enough, and this is her reply: "I'm sorry for any inconvenience. Is there anything else I can help you with?" I tell her that she hasn't done anything to help me, and this is her reply: "Thank you for using our live chat support at Summit Broadband. I will now be closing the chat. Have a great day!" I am over dealing with the liars at this company, so now I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the State Attorney General's office. Worst cable service we have ever had. Customer service is non existent. Out of country reps are rude, snippy and completely useless. In country reps promise to look into the issue and call back but never do. Service techs show up but do nothing. There is no way to get a number to push the issue higher.
