We immensely enjoy their cold fridge where you can walk in. 2 only at a time inside (small space) though no one really adheres to it.. they always have the latest June shine (local craft kombucha) brand even on the release date when June shine runs out of their release beverage Summers still had some there when we happen to stop by. We live close by so we walk here often to grab snacks and since covid times they've stocked up more on market essentials and covid essentials like selling masks and medicine and dairy, milk ect. Owner is really enthused about beer and the others don't seem as into the store as owner is. Seems to be a lot of changes in ownership for this location I hope the current one is here to stay. Tonight had a crazy allergic reaction to something and thank goodness they carried Benadryl! Forever grateful for this store's convenience.

Bait and switch. Sign outside says they have a bottle of Pappy for $43. The employee said it is a "joke" put by the owner a couple years ago to bring in customers. It's not funny, deceptive, and a waste of time. I would not shop here as I don't know what else they lie about.

Stopped in after dinner to grab a few goodies to rake back to our hotel since we've been buying overpriced market items at the Hyatt. This was a convenient stop near the restaurant before catching our Uber back. The outside doesn't look like much and this in lot a fancy liquor store but boy did they have a wide variety of products. I only thought we would get liquor but they had aisles of goodies, chips, candy, small food items, small to large cans and bottles of liquor, cigars, walk in freezer and very reasonable prices ( especially after seeing crazy hotel mark up prices). The store clerk was starting to mop the floors as we walked in which was a plus. I'm glad they had low price wine openers as well: for $50 we had two bags of stuff that was well worth it.

I'm pretty sure the owner of this place hates me. Almost every Sunday, I tie one on at Lei Lounge. I love that place, and since I live about 4 blocks away, I typically walk or ride my bike there. That being said, I feel it's OK to drink without judgment on the 7th day if I'm not going to be driving around. Whenever I head home, I find it necessary to stroll through this liquor store. Not because I need a new package of gum, not because I'm looking for a Mickey's Big Mouth, not because I'm in the need for teriyaki flavored beef jerky....because it makes me giggle to slightly annoy the clerk. Not criminal or anything, but when you walk in the door, it has THE MOST obnoxious alarm that goes off. You know, the "ding...dong" sorta thing when you walk into a convenience store. Welllll, at this particular location, they have a magazine rack right in the doorway...and as long as you're standing there, that alarm sounds and never ceases. Seriously, it's worse than the Emergency Broadcasting Service tests that stream across the television from time-to-time. I pretty much just stand there, reading those freebie magazines, until he gets mad and tells me to leave. It used to last about 30 seconds, now, his patience is much shorter. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-8 seconds. I don't know why I find so much pleasure doing this. Maybe it reminds me of my adolescence? I'm really not a jerk or anything...but this little activity makes me laugh. For being such an a-hole, I'm gonna hook him up with a good review, because it's actually a quality place to grab some cheap wines and mini-shots of Jose Cuervo.

The guy pouring was so nice and knowledgeable. We liked the wine so much we grabbed a bottle and decided to drink it there. Added bonus: since it was one of the featured wines, the corkage was free. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop, bar, and cheese shop all in one small, perfectly curated space. They have a lovely outdoor seating area and some indoor seating as well. There are TVs inside, so we were able to catch some exciting March Madness moments while we hung out. When we paid, the host was super friendly and brought us a little ice bucket to keep our chilled wine cold, along with two glasses, and let us choose any table we wanted. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, plus tons of bottles and cans to go. I also appreciate the large section of canned mocktails and NA beers -- love seeing that. They carry wine, beer, vermouth, and more. In the back, tucked away, is Venissimo Cheese, which is amazing. You can order cheese plates, sandwiches, and other goodies to enjoy with your drinks. Definitely check out their website for upcoming events and their current tap list. Such a fun, easy, local spot -- I'll be back.

Long overdue review!…read more BevMo in Mission Valley is decent. It has the basics covered, but it doesn't really stand out to me. Plenty of parking and the store is spacious and has a wide selection of wine, beer, mixers, and spirits, which is great if you know what to search for. Prices are okay, sometimes competitive if you catch a sale, but not always the lowest around. Check out their 5 cent wine sale! More info. online. Service is hit or miss. Go figure! Sometimes, you'll get a helpful employee who points you in the right direction, but other times it feels like staff avoid eye contact or are understaffed to really help. Thus, I'll be on my merry way on a solo treasure hunt hoping the right bottle calls my name. The check-out line can also be a bit slow and drag during busy hours. Overall, it's a convenient one-stop shop but doesn't have the "wow" factor that would be a go-to spot nor is it that exciting, because you know your girl loves to grocery shop and browse aisles for dayssss. Vibe is more like an "errands run" rather than a "fun alchy adventure." Some pros: It's in a plaza therefore you can spend time eating or more browsing. I frequent the neighboring Ralphs, CVS, and Starbucks. If you're feeling indulgent, Nothing Bundt Cakes is nearby. 3 stars at best! Dependable pit stop, but not a standout.

I can literally spend 30 minutes just walking around looking at all the beer easily. They have every kind that you can think of and then some, stouts, sours, lights, darts, imported you name it they have it. By far this is one of my favorite liquor stores in North Park area without a doubt. Their prices are decent and not overpriced and the owners are extremely nice and always do a Great job of taking care of you, don't forget if you have a question or if you're looking for a specific beer don't hesitate to ask they will help you, also if they are out of something ask them there's a good chance they have in the back. They have parking in the alley specifically for the store and also parking in the front to gain close access otherwise there is still parking on other areas but you will have to walk a half a block or so. If you're ever in need of beer or alcohol or wine trust me and try this place you won't regret it.

I feel like you are only going here if you have to. And in that case good luck to you…read more I went in looking for a $40 bottle of straight rye (standard retail price). The employee told me they didn't have it and offered a substitute. When she rang it up, the price came out to $75. I questioned it, and she said she thought I was buying a different bottle. After that, she adjusted the price, but it still ended up being $50. It was late at night and there weren't many other places open, so I bought it anyway. When I got home, I realized the bottle was a maple-flavored whiskey--not a straight rye like I had asked for. What confused me is that if they didn't have the rye, there were plenty of regular bourbons on the shelf that would have been a closer substitute. Instead I was sold a more expensive flavored whiskey that I didn't ask for. To be fair, I could have paid closer attention before leaving the store. But the whole interaction felt off, and it left me with the impression that the substitute was chosen to move a more expensive product rather than match what I asked for. That was my experience. Update: A commenter here says they spoke with the store and that my review is "incorrect," and then describes a different version of the interaction. The commenter was not present for the exchange I experienced. Their account is based on what someone told them afterward. My review reflects what I personally experienced during that visit. Second-hand explanations after the fact don't change what happened from the customer side of the counter.

Only had positive things to say. Roughly a year ago, ownership changed. Prices went up. And after today, will never return as it was the second instance of horrific customer service that points to levels of psychosis. A couple months ago, I came in, had forgotten my wallet, and my phone was dead. So I grabbed my charger, and asked if I could charge my phone so I could use ApplePay to purchase my usual pack of booze from 'em. Dude just said no. I could not use an outlet to charge my phone so I could pay them. I said why not? Answer was simply: no. I left, confused, but okay, whatever. Today, I went to grab the pack, the handle ripped off immediately, and the cans rolled around the floor. I kinda scooched em together, grabbed another pack, and went to get checked out and let 'em know what happened. One person was getting checked out ahead of me, and the moment that I made eye contact with the clerk (pretty sure he's the new owner, fat dude, grey hair) and lifted my pack, pointing at the handle and starting to say "Hey dude, I ripped ---" he yelled, "WHY YOU NOT CLEAN UP??"
