Yall please do not go here. Okay, I don't normally leave reviews, i bought the spicy chicharrones that literally said $2.99 and of course liquor stores up charge by MAYBE $1-$2 but no. I paid $7.10 for a bag of chips, I literally said just this, and he said okay, I think when they're running through the line and trying to get people in and out they're just raising the prices insanely in hopes people won't notice, I was one of those people unfortunately but do not go here. You will be overcharged by a lot. This also happened to my bf who bought 2 six packs and a juice and paid $45. Settle for a cvs/ralphs/target etc

This is a basic liquor store in downtown San Diego with lots of choices for late night boozing! I stopped in and bought a couple bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and they were reasonably priced. California wines are so much less expensive on the West Coast!! I love the liquor laws here!! The store itself is big so unless you know what you are looking for, you will wander around for awhile. The employees are not exactly helpful! I would return if I'm in the hood since it is easy to park outside.

best enjoyed naked just chill and sip

No, no again! Liquor advertised is behind cashier. They sell water and candy but no beer. No prices. I don't have a half an hour to figure out the prices and assortment in the dark - behind a line of 10 customers. Total waste of time! Review: 1.5

They have a great variety, so it's pretty easy to find what you're looking for without wandering around forever. Overall, a solid option when you need to grab something quickly and get in and out without the hassle. I'd definitely come back.

With over 8000 wines, 3000 spirits & 2500 beers with the best prices, selection and service, why would you ever want to shop anywhere else?! And the staff here are super friendly and very knowledgeable. They even offer wine classes (if you're into that kind of stuff). The guy pouring was so nice and knowledgeable. We liked the wine so much we grabbed a bottle and decided to drink it there. Added bonus: since it was one of the featured wines, the corkage was free. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop, bar, and cheese shop all in one small, perfectly curated space. They have a lovely outdoor seating area and some indoor seating as well. There are TVs inside, so we were able to catch some exciting March Madness moments while we hung out. When we paid, the host was super friendly and brought us a little ice bucket to keep our chilled wine cold, along with two glasses, and let us choose any table we wanted. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, plus tons of bottles and cans to go. I also appreciate the large section of canned mocktails and NA beers -- love seeing that. They carry wine, beer, vermouth, and more. In the back, tucked away, is Venissimo Cheese, which is amazing. You can order cheese plates, sandwiches, and other goodies to enjoy with your drinks. Definitely check out their website for upcoming events and their current tap list. Such a fun, easy, local spot -- I'll be back.

Long overdue review!…read more BevMo in Mission Valley is decent. It has the basics covered, but it doesn't really stand out to me. Plenty of parking and the store is spacious and has a wide selection of wine, beer, mixers, and spirits, which is great if you know what to search for. Prices are okay, sometimes competitive if you catch a sale, but not always the lowest around. Check out their 5 cent wine sale! More info. online. Service is hit or miss. Go figure! Sometimes, you'll get a helpful employee who points you in the right direction, but other times it feels like staff avoid eye contact or are understaffed to really help. Thus, I'll be on my merry way on a solo treasure hunt hoping the right bottle calls my name. The check-out line can also be a bit slow and drag during busy hours. Overall, it's a convenient one-stop shop but doesn't have the "wow" factor that would be a go-to spot nor is it that exciting, because you know your girl loves to grocery shop and browse aisles for dayssss. Vibe is more like an "errands run" rather than a "fun alchy adventure." Some pros: It's in a plaza therefore you can spend time eating or more browsing. I frequent the neighboring Ralphs, CVS, and Starbucks. If you're feeling indulgent, Nothing Bundt Cakes is nearby. 3 stars at best! Dependable pit stop, but not a standout.

I can literally spend 30 minutes just walking around looking at all the beer easily. They have every kind that you can think of and then some, stouts, sours, lights, darts, imported you name it they have it. By far this is one of my favorite liquor stores in North Park area without a doubt. Their prices are decent and not overpriced and the owners are extremely nice and always do a Great job of taking care of you, don't forget if you have a question or if you're looking for a specific beer don't hesitate to ask they will help you, also if they are out of something ask them there's a good chance they have in the back. They have parking in the alley specifically for the store and also parking in the front to gain close access otherwise there is still parking on other areas but you will have to walk a half a block or so. If you're ever in need of beer or alcohol or wine trust me and try this place you won't regret it.

I feel like you are only going here if you have to. And in that case good luck to you…read more I went in looking for a $40 bottle of straight rye (standard retail price). The employee told me they didn't have it and offered a substitute. When she rang it up, the price came out to $75. I questioned it, and she said she thought I was buying a different bottle. After that, she adjusted the price, but it still ended up being $50. It was late at night and there weren't many other places open, so I bought it anyway. When I got home, I realized the bottle was a maple-flavored whiskey--not a straight rye like I had asked for. What confused me is that if they didn't have the rye, there were plenty of regular bourbons on the shelf that would have been a closer substitute. Instead I was sold a more expensive flavored whiskey that I didn't ask for. To be fair, I could have paid closer attention before leaving the store. But the whole interaction felt off, and it left me with the impression that the substitute was chosen to move a more expensive product rather than match what I asked for. That was my experience. Update: A commenter here says they spoke with the store and that my review is "incorrect," and then describes a different version of the interaction. The commenter was not present for the exchange I experienced. Their account is based on what someone told them afterward. My review reflects what I personally experienced during that visit. Second-hand explanations after the fact don't change what happened from the customer side of the counter.

Only had positive things to say. Roughly a year ago, ownership changed. Prices went up. And after today, will never return as it was the second instance of horrific customer service that points to levels of psychosis. A couple months ago, I came in, had forgotten my wallet, and my phone was dead. So I grabbed my charger, and asked if I could charge my phone so I could use ApplePay to purchase my usual pack of booze from 'em. Dude just said no. I could not use an outlet to charge my phone so I could pay them. I said why not? Answer was simply: no. I left, confused, but okay, whatever. Today, I went to grab the pack, the handle ripped off immediately, and the cans rolled around the floor. I kinda scooched em together, grabbed another pack, and went to get checked out and let 'em know what happened. One person was getting checked out ahead of me, and the moment that I made eye contact with the clerk (pretty sure he's the new owner, fat dude, grey hair) and lifted my pack, pointing at the handle and starting to say "Hey dude, I ripped ---" he yelled, "WHY YOU NOT CLEAN UP??" Taken aback, I froze for a second. Then said, "uhh... well, what would you have me do? The thing ripping was out of my control, and I came over to let you know that I ----" "NO. YOU NOT TELL. YOU NO RESPECT STORE." "....What? Dude, you know me, I come here all the time. Plus, it's not really my responsibility to clean up after an incident like this, that's yours if we're being hon----." He didn't like that at all. He demanded that I give him the new pack and Sprite I had for Wifey, and literally screamed at me to get out of the store. I took a couple steps away and asked if someone hurt him, if he last a pet, a child, what was wrong? Because, to warrant this sort of an outburst really only points to what Uncle Roger would call... Emoshunal Daaaamage. Oh well, on the bright side, within 2-3 blocks there are at least two other liquor stores with better prices. I hope you find your meds, dude. You just lost one of your most loyal customers.
