Make sure you have the quote with you as well - he doesn't like of course when he get lairs trying to get over on the price. Canton Center Rd. for an oil change and was blown away by the level of service and care I received. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, efficient and a great value. It was the first time I'd taken my car to get an oil change in more than 20 years, my husband always takes care of this chore, but he had the flu and I needed my car to be ready the next morning for a long drive to visit my dad who was battling Stage 4 Brain Cancer. I was nervous to say the least, but upon arriving I was greeted by Moose and Ron, who took great care in explaining everything to me. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the service was completed, and I was back on the road in no time with a free car wash!! But what really sets this place apart is their attention to detail. Not only did they change the oil, but they also performed a thorough inspection of my vehicle and alerted me to a potential issue they discovered. Thanks to their proactive approach, I was able to address some issues before they became a problem. All in all, I highly recommend the Fifties Lube & Oil Change for all your oil change needs. They charged $138 diagnosis which amounted to turning on the fan, without applying that to the $1000 bill. Additionally, they said it would be best to replace the original blower and for only $40 above the cost of the cheap motor they would install a Delco brand. When I picked the truck up the blower was only putting out half of the force it should. Neither Jim or the mechanic had a solution. Once I got home I pulled the motor and found that it was not a Delco but a generic and there was still some debris in the system. Lori emailed me the invoice and I also found a $46 charge for an engine air filter which was never discussed nor relevant to what I contracted to have done. I sent this information to Lori asking for a follow-up call and have heard nothing. Apparently, I can no longer trust the people at Hal's.
