Plymouth Quick Lube Oil Change

Quick efficient service. They remember me and my cars. Always friendly and thorough.read more

Very nice, explained things well, told the price before the service, and was just overall very nice and I think he could tell I had no idea what I was doing. Along with some other things he gave me a coupon for a free car wash. I've also never been through a car wash so I figured since I had the time I would go try that out as well. Immediately when I pulled up I was trying to adjust my car onto the tracks following what the man in the car was waving to do and he started yelling. Apparently I wasn't doing a good job positioning my car which okay but the yelling was uncalled for. While they were spraying down my car he was screaming at me to not touch the break(how do I put it in neutral without touching the break?) screaming at me to stop touching the wheel(I was not), screaming at me to put it in neutral(thought I couldn't touch the break?) and just screaming about everything. To make matters worse the other worker seemed to be laughing at me the whole time. I understand there's things car washes need you to do and a car wash is a loud place, but his choice of words and tone was so rude it honestly made me never want to come back. I was screamed at the whole entire time. It does not take much effort to say "put the car in neutral now" or "don't touch the break" but the way he was screaming at me was terrible. The other man in the car wash also seemed to be laughing at me the entire time. I actually left in tears. I'm aware I'm a pretty sensitive person, as I am a teenage girl, but the whole interaction made me wonder if I would be talked to that way if I was a man or older. I did end up talking to one of the employees in the gas station and he was very nice and understanding and said he would talk to the manager of the car wash. I'm a pretty non confrontational person so I didn't wanna turn it into a big deal but I feel like this should be a learning experience for the two men in the car wash. If you see someone who's young or maybe has never gone through a car wash before, show some compassion and don't scream and belittle them. I doubt I will ever come back because that was the worst experience. Unsure if it's a control thing or some anger issues but you should realize when you are representing a business you should have compassion and understanding.

I paid $10 but it was never entered into the system of record . They left the oil cap off after adding oil which created a huge mess under the hood of my vehicle. I wound up pulling into the dealership where I bought it since my car started to smell awful and I was close to the dealer. It was a mess. it cost me a lot of money to have them degrease the engine compartment and clean everything up. The insulation mat that is attached under the hood was completely soaked and had to be replaced. That was also expensive. I went back to Fifties and showed them photos of my engine compartment before the cleanup and my service bill. The two men who were there just shrugged their shoulders . They said they would take down my phone number and call me back but they never did. The person who added the oil was there and said he didn't remember me. if I were you I'd get out of the car personally and make sure that they put the oil cap back on Otherwise you'll be left with an expensive and smelly mess to clean up. Not going back.

Fast Lane Quick Oil Change - This is the part which was so overtightened there was no way of removing it without it breaking

Fast Lane Quick Oil Change

We have been going to Fast Lane Quick Lube for about the last 4 years and have had about 15 oil changes done by them. They are the only place that has done the oil changes on our vehicles. We only had one bad experience in the past- they did not replace oil drain cap. Luckily we noticed the drip while we were at the Speedway just across the street and went back and they put cap back in. They were apologetic. No harm, no foul. About a week ago, we went in to have and oil change done on a Saturday. They could not get the filter off and asked that we come back Monday and they would have a torque tool to help get the filter loose. No problem, we said. We came back Monday and with some elbow grease they were able to get the filter loose (they were the ones that over tightened the filter in the 1st place). We had the oil change done and were on our way. A couple days later there was an oil spot on the drive. I took the vehicle back in. They replaced the filter. We were on our way. Last night, I noticed oil on the drive again. This morning I went back in to Fast Lane. They looked at the filter and saw that there was oil leaking from it again. I asked the tech if this was common. He said no- that he does not see this as a regular problem. He then corrected himself and said, well maybe I have seen this sometimes because you have a cap that holds the filter in place. Sometimes there might be an issue with the cap holder that holds the filter in place. There could be something wrong with the filter holder. They replaced the filter and I left. I then called the Toyota dealer here in Canton and asked them if they had a filter cap holder in stock. He said yes, so I drove over and picked one up. I asked the Toyota man if this issue is common- he he had seen it when the cap is over tightened. I paid for the new cap and went back to Fast Lane. This is now my 5th trip in a week to have an oil change done correctly. I asked the tech to replace the cap with the new one I just purchased at the Toyota dealer. He said that he would now charge me for a new filter. I was incredulous, and told him that I was having to come back repeatedly because of his mistakes. I refused to pay for another filter and left. Mistakes happen. I've had a hundred oil changes done in my life and never had a filter over tightened. But I understand that stuff happens. In this case, the business was unwilling to fix their mistake without charging me. I am left with the the cost of a new filter cap, the cleanup job of the 4 oil stains on my driveway and the cost of having someone else replace the oil cap. Sometimes things happen. But when the business that caused the issue refuses to stand behind their work, that is a problem. Word to the wise, take your business elsewhere- these guys don't make good on their promise to give you what you paid for and if they make a mistake they'll charge you to fix an issue they caused in the 1st place.

great prices and they get the job done fast! They even vacuum my front seats love this place!read more
