Behold- the magical gyro I've been craving since Happy Falafel perished!
    Kira H.

I gotta quote The Police on this with a little twist: every little thing HE does is magic! I'm down at the Thursday Growers & Crafters Market at Hawthorne park &, after all the years I've been coming for the fare, I'd never had his gyros! Tragic, really, so I'm remedying that today! Let me say this- you want a quality gyro, there's no better place in the valley (though I've never been to Abu's in GP). The meat is truly hearty, the tomato sauce is spicy & unique- compared to others of 'gyros past' that used tomato slices or chunks- & the vinegary bite in both slaw & pepperoncini add the perfect balance with the tatziki-dusted greens on top. And the flatbread surrounding everything is a perfect consistency- not too tough, not too soft, & just a little crispy. Because it was drizzly & a little cold out, I also got a cup of their hot red lentil soup- what a treat THIS baby is! The veggies & lentils are perfectly tender, the the spices are uniquely satisfying- which says something when it's predominantly fennel/anise- & the added slaw & tomato sauce on top give another depth of balance to the dish. Overall, a satisfactory & sweetly savory meal- that will certainly fill you up- for $10! I'm thrilled we still have one gyro place in town & would highly encourage looking these guys up!

Not sure why this place hasn't been added on Yelp yet, but I'll be happy to write the first review... Not a whole lot to choose from when it comes to getting a decent gyro in So. Oregon (exception is Abu's deli in Grants Pass)... After hearing rumors I was happy to find the Sultan's Delight food cart in Talent (they do move around a little bit in the RV though)... First let me get the negative outta the way... They normally accept credit/debit cards however they didn't have their card reader when I stopped by... It was a little frustrating driving over to Talent, just to be denied lol... Instead I jammed over to the local grocery store to get some cash, as I was determined to get a gyro at this point... Let's get to the good stuff... I had the regular gyro (beef & lamb mix) and an order of dolma's... It was legit Turkish or middle eastern good stuff! The pita seemed to be homemade or at the very least a great quality... The meat was seasoned appropiatley and had enough of it according to the size of the "sandwich"... The tzaziki sauce and hot sauce(?) were good and the lettuce was fresh... The dolmas had good grape leaves and were stuffed with seasoned rice, pine nuts, onions and currants (similar to raisins)... The prices were maybe a touch high, but it was worth it for a pretty authentic gyro! Word to the wise, if you dig gyros, kabobs, dolmas and other delicious like items, I suggest you give Sultan's Delight a try! ***Eat Local***

To my knowledge since Happy Falafel in Ashland closed, Sultan's Delight is the only place to get a gyro locally.

One employee was the only one apparently working but she kept disappearing through the swing door while my 'food' cooked - if that's what you call being cooked. She had, like, 2" long fake black eyelashes on gooped with so much black crap that I was surprised they stayed on her eyelids - and she was wearing the most inappropriately tight yoga. pants that were past the point of crack invasive! They left nothing to the imagination and were gross beyond the definition of embarrassing. On to the $8.50 garbage she prepared - basically and ounce of chicken, a piece of McDonalds-thin bacon, a tiny bit of mozarella cheese, a flour tortilla (apparently a 'pita'), and a squirt of ranch dressing. I took two bites to get the ounce and a quarter of chicken and bacon and threw what little was left away. $8.50 for what??? Never again, not at any Pita Pit in and location forever. And this was my very first and only visit. This chain is the next one to fail and this location would be better torn down. Disgusting, dirty, overpriced and hopefully a forgettable experience!

Then why make the meal? Don't worry I got a $3 credit for the $15 dollar meal. Yes this is horseshit. I will never go back to Pita Pit again and I encourage all not to go either. Customer service is becoming a top priority in my life and there is none here. Enter at your own risk.

For a pita alone its only $6 but if you want chips and a drink it costs extra. Costs $0.75 for avocado
