First off this is in a mall food court which i have had a good Gyro in a food court. This was not even a cone of meat but frozen pre cut chunks which lacked flavor. Well, there's a new restaurant in the food court at Rogue Valley Mall and it's pretty dang tasty. It's nice to have a different ethnic food to break up the boredom of mall food. Yesterday and today I ate the Gyros sandwich and the meat is super moist, flavorful and tender. They load up a good amount of meat which for a 8.99 price point is good. They have various curry choices, saag, biryanis etc. I will give the other menu items a try over the next couple weeks. The people running it are really nice. They gave me samples of the grape leaf wrapped rice thing- sorry can't remember it's name. It was tasty too. My friend got the butter chicken and said it was very good too. So far this place seems to be an instant hit considering the line of people giving it a try. If you're making a mall run, it's worth trying. read more

Coming from someone who is a lover of Indian food, their butter chicken by far is the best in Medford OR. I've also tried their gyro, which they cook the meat fresh, and it was absolutely fantastic. It seems like a lot of people over look it in the mall, but I highly suggest trying it out if you're interested in new things! The prices are just right for how much food you get, and the service is always friendly. Can't wait to go back, I'll be craving it from now on! This review is only for the service I received--I never actualy got to eat any food. I arrived at the mall counter and waited for a few minutes making my decision. No one greeted me. I noticed a bell so I rang it once. No answer, rang again, this time twice. Getting a little annoyed I rang it 5 times. Then a woman, not wearing any indication of working at this restaurant (no employee/company shirt), says "Oh I work there but I'm on my break so no one is going to be there for 20 minutes." I was like "Seriously? Why have you not put any sort of signage saying you're on a break, I just rang the bell 7 times?" And she just stared at me and ignored me. Get better employees!! This was a real bummer experience, and was my first so a bad first impression. read more

I'm a huge fan of Gebala Kebab. Located inside of the mall, this mediterranean cuisine is a delight to find in Medford. I generally get the butter chicken with chicken biryani rice. It is so delightful. So flavorful, just enough spice for my sensitive palate. We've also had the gyro platter, which was delicious, although we were initially confused between the platter versus the sandwich. The menu now has photos :) I do wish they had naan available to soak up the wonderful sauce from the butter chicken, but I digress. For now, I will leave my rating at 4 stars, as the first time we went, we were charged more than the menu price, and when we looked at the receipt, we were charged extra for having the chicken biryani rice with the butter chicken (at that time we were expecting normal rice and did not ask for special rice, also were not told there would be an additional charge). Now it seems that the butter chicken comes with the biryani rice standard. Love this place, great addition to the mall. read more

My craving for kebabs was definitely satisfied here. It wasn't cubed up goo in a stick that we usually get. The owner I believe was working, and I got the vest service! He made the kebab right in front of me...seasoned it and everything as I waited. The plate I got was so filling with a kebab as big as my arm, chicken biryani, tortilla, fries, hummus and a sauce all for 10.95. It was definitely a filling plate. Absolutly amazing food. I have had the gyro sandwich a couple of times and it is wonderful. The meat is tender and flavorful the veggies are fresh and crisp. I had the shwarma plate once and the same thing goes for this as well. Perfect seasoning perfect flavors. And the chicken curry!!! OMG this is fabulous. Not to hot just a bit of zing. Both times I've come here after work- hungry for "something different"... & they did not disappoint! The staff are super friendly & informative, the flavors & spices are on point & prices are reasonable per person. Today I got their butter chicken- which fell apart it was so tender- "like butter", marinated zucchini that was almost drowning in this tomato sauce- but maintained its structural integrity & had a kick that crept up on you, potatoes cooked with peppers & Mediterranean herbs- like pillows of potato, & the veggie rice- lots of colorful veggies & spices tossed in this warm yellow rice that marry everything together perfectly. All that food came to about $10, which is a steal when you consider how much food you're taking away! This is exactly what the mall needs- something different & uniquely delicious! I enjoyed my falafel pita sandwich and the man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I was originally in line to order from the adjacent Chinese place, but he smiled and waved and gestured so enthusiastically at his own menu that I felt compelled to check it out. No regrets. The pita sandwich overall was pretty good... Nice soft pita and very crispy, flavorful falafel, but the lettuce and tomatoes weren't that great (pale and didn't seem the freshest). For the price, I would do it again as the falafel itself was awesome, but I think it'd be better with higher quality lettuce and tomatoes. Cucumbers would have been amazing on it too. read more

Not only do you get a great amount for the price of the food, but so far I have yet to try something here that I haven't enjoyed. Some of the foods are new to me, others familiar and bring memories from my childhood. The people who run it are wonderful and super kind, taking time to go over certain foods with me to make sure I won't have allergy issues. Made the mistake of trying to get to this new restaurant at 1 p.m. on a Sunday during the holidays. After parking a mile away and fighting the crowds to get in I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. My wife had the chicken briyani and the butter chicken while I had the gyro. I'm so confused as to how there are 5 star ratings on this disgusting place?? The falafels were way over spiced and included spices I've never acquainted with middle eastern food. Growing up in So Ca, they have real authentic, ethnic options. This was sh!t! They must have cooked their food in month old grease; even the rice tasted like rancid grease. It's not often you say that you want, or in this case NEED, to go to the mall just for the food court. I have found that reason. The food is fresh and made of quality ingredients. The offer many vegetarian options. I ordered food to go for my family of four last night and they were in awe of the complexity of the flavors. Definitely disappointed. They were out of falafel and out of samosas. I ended up ordering the chana masala plate. My rice was crunchy and the entire dish tasted like it had been sitting under heat lamps all day. My daughter ordered the gyro sandwich. She too was disappointed. Very nice to have some new food at the mall, or anywhere in Medford for that matter. The owners have to done a good job making several different curries and other dishes that will be familiar to anyone who likes Middle Eastern or Indian food.
