Great food, great atmosphere! There was 7 of us. We ordered 4 dishes an appetizer and bread, then shared! It was plenty of food! So yummy! Highly recommend!

Came here with my mother on a whim -- and wow! Definitely will be coming back again. They have a solid range of appetizers, meals, & beverages to choose from. Most importantly, the staff are very attentive and the service is really above and beyond. We felt very welcome and taken care of while we were here and the atmosphere is peaceful. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the servers we had tonight, but they were amazing and I'll be recommending this place to all my friends & family in the area.

Food was amazing!!! Seriously some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Our waiter was super friendly, and the ambiance was nice.

Fish and chips, shrimp malai curry, chicken butter curry, saag paneer, garlic naan, pickle, raita, mango yogurt, INCREDIBLE, LIFE CHANGING

I cannot believe this place only has 4 stars!!! This is by far the Most amazing Indian food on the planet. I rate it 5+++ stars. I'm so impressed. Everything is bomb. If you love authentic, fresh Indian food this is your place. I could tell everything was made from scratch and the service was incredible. My mom who has traveled all over the world said the fish and chips were the best she's ever had and I agree. I will be dreaming of this place. I also think the inside of the restaurant has great vibes and I was very comfortable. Will be coming back as often as I can!

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. I'm from the Bay Area and have tried so many Indian restaurants. Masala Ashland is the absolute best. They are also very friendly to top it off. Will definitely be back.

Foreground to background: Lamb Roganjosh, vegetable pakora, gluten-free naan, and Keema Masala.

The place was packed & they were short on staff as many places are, but the wait was worth it. We had a delicious dinner.

We were presented with the dinner menu to make our choices. We both decided to have the thali dinner option which has four extra side dishes and a rice pudding dessert along with the entree, rice and a basket of fresh baked naan. My friend had paneer dumplings and vegetables and I had the chicken vindaloo. Everything was delicious! All the extra thali dishes which were attractively served in small round metal bowls on a large metal platter made it feel like a mini buffet with all the different tastes. The thali option does cost more than the lunch buffet did but there was plenty to eat. We totally understood them discontinuing the lunch buffet on weekdays. Sadly during the two hours we were there we were the only customers though perhaps people weren't hungry to go out after Easter meals yesterday. I know House of India recently celebrated their two-year anniversary. I hope they stay in business as they are a tasty destination on the south end of town. Just know if your heart is set on eating at the buffet then be sure to go on Saturday or Sunday.

It's been a few years since I've been back. She ordered something called.Reymih kabob and it's probably the best thing I've ever tasted the flavor. I describe it as bright and sparkly. We ordered curry goat, butter chicken, onion naan, and aloo nann. The butter chicken was everything you want your butter chicken to be, spicy, creamy and flavorful with nice bite sized pieces of chicken. It was good, but it wasn't incredible. The curry goat was deliciously flavorful and the goat was falling off the bones tender, but it was full of small bones and cartilage to chew around which didn't bother my man but is worth mentioning in case that's something you're grossed out by. Not a lot of actual meat in the end. The onion naan came to the table accidentally but we decided to keep it as well as the aloo naan we actually ordered. Both were crispy on the outside soft on the inside, the onion didn't do much for me, I mean it was fine but if I had actually ordered a second basket of naan I would have chosen garlic, this one just tasted plain to me. The Aloo on the other hand was better, a bit of spice with tiny little pieces of potatoes inside.. our waiter was great, minus the language barrier which was why we ended up just keeping the onion naan, but we can't fault him for that, we were the ones who wanted to eat at an Indian restaurant. The restaurant itself is huge and kinda tacky. It looks like it used to be an Italian restaurant by the murals on the walls. It must get really busy on the days they do the buffet or something because the night we went there was only one other dude eating in the dining room the whole time. I read the reviews before we went and there are tons of rave reviews so I thought it would be a little bit better than it was but it was still really good and I would definitely go back for their buffet to try more of their dishes.

No more kale chips (the best ever btw!), way less sauces to choose from, the fridges are all empty, the sautéed cabbage sucks when it used to have flavor and was cooked well and now is basically raw, I could go on. Btw you're supposed to remove the stems on kale, not serve it to customers w stems! They removed all the lamps and fun wall paint in the bathrooms and looks like a generic boring cold bright light white walls bathroom. ***The chicken is much, much better tho so I'll give them that. I wont be surprised if soon they repaint the walls white too and take down all the wood. It has a very medford conservative energy now with people pretending to be hippies wearing ponchos they just bought etc. So that's awkward. Definitely waaaay different energy.. not inna good way. I appreciate what they offer food wise though with veggies and dairy free desserts so I will definitely return. The music SUCKS now. Sauce used to be such a cool vibe with indie music and even classical and jazz etc. Now it is top 40's pop and country-pop. Just god awful. The drama that came from this revision is very interesting also... something like the owners husband and wife, husband cheated on wife with the now new co-owner who is supposedly also married and the ex-wife has chronic illness and was basically blindsided and then bought out. It's all really messy and gives a bad energy. Probably why it is empty every time we've been since the change... Sauce used to always be packed.. we also would always buy the frozen soups and salads etc in addition to our meals ordered but now spend less bc nothing in fridges to buy! Anyway, I hope they stay open for the food bc not much else like it in the valley but hOm, please don't forget the loyal following of Sauce and completely obliterate its energy. Please dont paint everything white and black. We need color and creativity and community. Not cold pretend hippie energy. Sauce was packed constantly for a reason... don't lose sight of why and why you're always empty now facing closure...

We're…read morejust about into Grants Pass and I knew from my web browsing, there was an Indian restaurant with a lunch buffet. I know there's enough stuff to keep them happy at these buffets. I'm not the most adventurous when it comes to Indain food, so I mostly just stick to Tandoori Chicken and Tikka Masala over that basmati rice. Oh yeah, I love the naan bread too. The place is a bit off the freeway, so I let the GPS do the directing. You head south on the 99 off the 5 and it's down a ways on the right, set back from the street by the big parking lot. Lots of easy parking. The lunch buffet looks like most Indian buffets. The server took our drink orders and we ordered several orders of the naan bread. The interior was pleasant as well. We all go up to the buffet and there's plenty to choose from for everybody. Me, I get the Tandoori chicken and the tikka masala poured over some of the basmati rice. This is all I need to be happy. I'll say the tandoori chicken was ver good, tender nad moist not all dried out or all the scrap pieces like the back and rib cages. I love the thighs. WE all got our fill and lunch didn't have to take 1 1/2 hrs or anything, we're in and out pretty quick. Not as fast as fast food, but this is more civilized. The naan was good too.

The tikka was pretty hammered (over-cooked) tough cubes of chicken and the curry was what I would describe as dumbed-down for American taste. I realize this is not a politically correct thing to say but all the warm spices I am used to & crave were super muted. Those warm spices are what makes this cuisine so crave-worthy in my opinion. My advice to the proprietor would be not to change a thing about the naan but turn the volume up on all the other dishes in terms of warm spices. Make it the way you want to eat it.
