But, when I saw they were advertising a Lamb Gyro for $12 (Tuesdays), I took the leap. Seems it wasn't that far to jump. Although there were table cloths, cloth napkins and silverware, with room for a true dining experience, the fan sitting atop the bar, (blowing-off more air than necessary), and the plastic plants on the walls/ceilings threw-off any pretense I had of the place. When I requested the Lamb Gyro, the server pointed to an entree on the menu for me to approve. I made sure there wasn't another (re: pricier) offer. There was... it was the one he suggested. The gyro itself consisted of a bland (Tzatziki?) sauce that struggled to find my taste buds. Lamb (typically) has a gamey/slightly sweet flavor; these cuts seemed to be found from behind their refrigerator, (not from inside). They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.

The food was delicious, and I had a wonderful dinner with my daughter. The small bar area gets crowded, but the energy throughout the restaurant makes it a fun dining experience. He clearly does not know how to speak to customers with basic respect and courtesy. We were standing near the elevator taking pictures, just like other guests were doing throughout the restaurant. However, the manager singled us out and tried to push us out of the area while other people were taking pictures without being treated the same way. What made this experience even more disturbing was that we appeared to be the only Black guests in the restaurant. Seeing other people allowed to take pictures while we were treated this way made us question whether we were being treated differently because of our race. Let me be clear: nobody should be made to feel unwelcome, targeted, or disrespected in a restaurant simply because of who they are. Even if there was a concern about where we were standing, there was a respectful way to communicate that. The manager chose to approach us in a rude and hostile manner instead. MILA presents itself as a luxury dining destination, but luxury means absolutely nothing when the people managing the establishment lack basic manners and professionalism. Expensive decor and a beautiful atmosphere cannot make up for discriminatory treatment and terrible customer service. Management needs to take a serious look at how its staff treats guests. No restaurant is above criticism, and no customer should have to tolerate being treated like they don't belong. Based on our experience today, I would not recommend MILA to anyone who expects to be treated with dignity and respect. Absolutely disappointing.

Absolutely incredible experience at Sultan Mediterranean Cuisine! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The ambiance is charming with a perfect blend and a lot of Famous people have went there. Now, onto the food - it was outstanding! Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavors. The hummus was creamy and paired beautifully with warm, fluffy pita bread. The lamb kebabs were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. And the baklava for dessert was simply divine, a sweet ending to a memorable meal. The service was impeccable; our server was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and providing excellent recommendations. The manager even stopped by our table to check on us, which added a personal touch to our dining experience. Overall, Sultan Mediterranean Cuisine exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We can't wait to return and try more dishes from their extensive menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine in Miami. read more

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!! One of the worst experiences I have had in awhile. I visited during a busy time, around 12AM.. Many people were there and I didn't mind the wait. I paid almost 23$ for a single kabob with rice and pita.. never known for any place to charge a price like that.. okay whatever, then.. the service ended up being sh*t and when I finally got my food, the meat was so disgusting I couldn't even take a bit of it without wanting to puke. Essentially I paid 22$ for rice and pita. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the time, anything is better than this. read more

While the Mediterranean restaurant delivers decent fare, it falls short of leaving a lasting impression. The menu offers familiar dishes with satisfactory flavors but lacks the innovative twists and bold combinations found in standout establishments. This was our first time here and Ahmet, our server, took great care of us. We weren't familiar with all the dishes on the menu, but he took his time going over the menu with us, made great recommendations on dishes to try, and just provided us with great service overall. We started our lunch with two glasses of red wine from Turkey and the wine was truly spectacular. It was light yet full of aroma and flavor and went perfectly with our meal. Highly recommend trying a glass of wine you can't find anywhere else on a menu. We ordered the Turkish Pozza from the lunch menu to share and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. It was truly one of a kind and I'll be back just for this dish, it was so good. Super thin, perfectly crispy pizza, topped with finely ground beef, onions, tomatoes, and parsley it was so full of flavor it was absolutely delicious. For lunch, the pizza was only $10 too, what a great price for a truly special dish. All I have to say is, try it, you won't be disappointed! For our meal we ordered the chicken shish kabob served with rice and it was also very good. The chicken was a little charred which I really liked. We also ordered a side of asparagus to go with our meal and it was delicious as well. For desert I usually stick to Baklava since it's one of my favorites but our server really recommended the homemade Kunefe and the Turkish Mariah Ice Cream and told us we had to try them together so we decided to try something different. The deserts came out topped with a little bit of pistachio and they were also one of the best deserts I've ever had. They should be served together on the menu because our server was right they went perfectly together. The ice cream was special in of itself, I've never had ice cream made from goat milk, but it was so good, you have to try it as well. It had a thicker, more stretchy texture to it, than regular ice cream and wasn't as sweet which I loved and it was just absolutely amazing. We didn't even know it was made from goat milk till after we tried it, I'm so happy we did. The Kunefe was really good as well, it arrived warm, and the crispy shredded phyllo dough was coated in sweet syrup and went perfectly with the ice cream. Perfectly balancing each other. Highly recommend. Overall, I was really impressed with the food at Sumak Restaurant and I look forward to returning another day soon!

Then upon delivery the receipt stapled to the bag says "Doner Kebab - Onion - Extra Cabbage" and the food only has onion and cabbage - nothing else. Everything I ordered with "No Onion" checked came with 0 other standard toppings, and only onion. The outcome is, you order it with no modifications to get all the toppings advertised, or you remove one topping and don't add "extra" of anything else and that's all you get. There is no way to get a standard amount of all toppings minus the one you can't eat. The hummus is advertised as coming with pita but both times came with nothing.
