They have plenty of washers and dryers and I did all my laundry (which would have been 12 loads at home) in two of the XL washers. The card system is simple: just put in cash and take the card it gives you to the machine you want to use. Any unused money is refunded back to you. I don't usually visit laundromats, and I was there to wash a duvet. The cost was $7.50, I believe. Seems pricey, but I don't really know. Again, great job to Dustan. The dryers have touchscreen timers (use the left/right arrows) and let you adjust the time to match your load. Pricing varies based on the time you select. You can pay by card or coins, which is super convenient for both washers/dryers. There are about 16 washers and 16 dryers, a couple of folding tables, rolling baskets, and a few chairs. Laundry Genius is modern compared to the surrounding laundry mats. Coins are not used at all. Cash and/or credit/EBT cards are transferred to a Laundry Genius laundry card (think grocery store savings cards). There is a $1 service charge applied to the first transaction. Be sure to save this card for future uses to avoid the $ service charge each time. Pricing is clearly listed at the card terminal area. Laundry Genius doesn't open as early as other mats do; opening is at 9am. Last wash is at 7:30pm. Indoors is spacious and bright. Washing and dryer machines are plentiful. Several rolling basket carts are available to assist with laundry transportation. There is a good deal of seats for those who wish to stay on-site while doing their laundry. Vending machines are on site providing laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. I spend around $18 to wash my comforter and around $3.50 to dry it. At first, I was shocked at the price difference from surrounding mats; however, you get what you pay for. Increased pricing saves me time by not having to search high and low for quarters. Quality and the quantity of machines ensures that I do not have to wait for availability or continue to add time and money to drying times. I think the part that made me dislike this place is that I have 6 loads to wash- two of which are the biggest sized ones they have- and to put in $60 worth of change is very tedious and frustrating. A lot of laundry places have moved to a card system. I understand this area probably has a lot of older people who like to use change, an old school vibe. However, if you could make it so that the coins and cash and debit could all be loaded onto a reusable laundry card, that would be AMAZING.
