This is a really nice, very clean facility. The manager (or owner?) never stopped washing floors or cleaning lint traps the entire time we were there. I saw only one machine out of order. We were able to get four loads done in about an hour and a half. We used washers labeled "double load" but they seemed pretty small to me. The dryers, however, were humongous, and we threw all four loads of wash into one dryer and everything was dry in 45 minutes. We used quarters on the washers (either $2 or $2.50 per wash) and then used our card on the washer -- $1 for every 15 minutes. There was a $5 authorization that went through (pending transactions) but it was reversed immediately and we were only charged the $3. There are plenty of places to sit, there is a change machine, snack machines, and a Dollar Tree next door if you forget detergent or dryer sheets. It ended up being cheaper than the hotel machines and saved us a ton of time, We'll probably swing by one more time before leaving town. read more

I haven't had to go to a laundromat since I was kid. I just moved into a rental that doesn't have the best washer and dryer. I found this place about 10 minutes away. It's super convenient and there are various load size machines for your needs. I have only been there twice and on week days. The first time it was nice & quiet that I was actually able to work from the laundromat. The second time was much busier, so I would say peak times varies. I'm visiting from out of town and needed to wash my clothes. This is the second time I come to this laundromat, the first time I was here the card reader on the $3.50 machine almost charged me $7 ! Luckily I caught it before I slid my card. This time to avoid that I brought cash and on one of the $3.50 machines the machine said I still owed .25, thinking I counted wrong I put in another quarter it still didn't turn on when I went to tell the attendant she grabbed a knife to "fix it" then asked me for another quarter, confused I gave it to her (ik that's my own fault for not saying no) it turned on and when I told her that makes the machine $4 instead of $3.50 she said "yeah" and shrugged. I asked if I could get the .50 back she said no. So they're basically stealing money and not caring about it. I get it it's only .50 but imagine how many people they do this to and on top of that it's .25 every 4 mins of drying! So it's money that could have gone towards their already super expensive dryers. I have used this location for many years. Apparently, it was sold to a bunch of money grubbing foreign nationals. There has been a price increase of at least 30% to 50% depending on the washers you select. The dryers have remained the same money-wise, but the drying time has been reduced by 3 minutes per quarter and the temperature has also been reduced. This necessitated additional quarters to complete my drying cycle. In short, what use to cost me $17, now cost me $22. I will not be returning to this location in the future. read more

I have been coming here for years, minding my own business each visit and have never been bothered. This time, a young man who was wiping down the machines was right next to me as I was loading my laundry. I was interrupted when he leaned over to examine if I placed the powder into the appropriate receptacle and proceed to ask if I was using powder. I said yes as he peered to look inside to verify. Then as I was loading a different washer, I placed two detergent pods in a 30 pound washer. He then asked me "how many did I put in?". I said two, I always wash with two. He then instructed me to remove one and only wash with one despite my answer to him. He stood there watching me until I opened the door to remove one pod. This experience left me feeling irritated, invaded and my personal space encroached upon. Truly, I did not appreciate the young attendant observing my actions and telling me how to do my laundry when I am at a commercial style self wash and have been doing my own laundry for the past 30 years. Very disrespectful here. The worker took my clothes out of the dryer right when my timer went off. I walked in a minute later to find my clothes in a bin. Very unsanitary... We called him afterwards and he claimed he was wearing gloves, he hesitated to give his name and ended the call when we asked about the fact. He was tall and pretty young looking. I have gone in the mornings a few times while we were getting our dryer replaced. This place investigated looked for theft. while I was there I used both coin and card. Several times the machine would not go even though it charged my card. I checked bank records. As well as when I put in coins no time would be added. This happened on both washers AND dryers. The more mature lady of asian ancestry does not understand or pretends to not u derstand any english. I saw her several times take knifes to the coin slots and place out of order sign on one dryer only to take it off 3 times while I was there without it being fixed which meant others had issues. While I was there the SAME thing happened to several other people who complained... yet no refund or resolution. These people KNOW this happens with the machines. I've been using this laundromat for a couple years; maybe 10 times now. They have a great variety of machines and hold a LOT of laundry! The place has been quite clean every time I have been there. I try to go on weekdays to avoid the weekend crowds. I typically use the double loader washer, $4.00, which holds two sets of queen sheet and two full bath, 3 hand, and 4 washcloths, and there was more room to put more laundry in. I love using their machines because they are commercial machines and you can see the water swishing around. The loads take 30 minutes. They have two change machines and you can purchase laundry soap, bleach, and fabric softener. The dryers range from a medium size to gigantic. You can easily fit a large bedspread in the largest dryer and it only costs $1.00 for 16 minutes of drying time. read more

I've used this place a couple of times with satisfactory results. Looking at the reviews here, I'm not sure what folks expectations are of a laundromat are. If I had the experience some describe here I'd just contact my debit/credit card company and ask to have the charge reversed. Unlike the place in Woodinville I've been to a few times, Alfine accepts cards in most of the machines, a good thing (the smallest washers do not, a down side). Plenty of machines (including big ones), counter space, and rolling laundry baskets. read more

I'm surprised to see so many harsh reviews of this place. It's not a state of the art facility (in a dying industry) but the older machines are functioning and the owner has gotten new machines recently too that work really well. While I have had trouble with some of the machines registering my money in the past, I have never had a time that the owner didn't fix it for me or give me my money back and I always leave a happy customer. I have been using this place for years. Spent hundreds of dollars at this place! Never had a problem. Last night I went and the worker there was an older gentlemen who had some communication problems. I was down to the wire on time to finish but I had no choice my machine died and my family work clothes needed to be washed. I know how to run a machine. And this old man the worker for the place comes right up into my bubble and starts choosing the settings for me. I tell him thank you but I know how to work the machines. And I changed it back. He ignores me and then proceeded to change the settings. I just had to stand my ground and tell him I have been working these machines for years and know what I am doing. Seriously I don't wash my clothes in cold water! He then stands next to me and starts to stare at how much soap I am putting into the machine. So I am a little irritated at this point but I let it go. I have to much to do to worry about this aggressive dude. Next I had a small load of dress shirts so I threw them into a smaller machine. All the machines take a credit card except the small ones. So I needed to get quarters. They charged me a dollar to give me paper money that I then had to go put into the change machine. I have always just brought quarters before so I didn't realize not all the machines took card. Just a little heads up for you all who choose to or have no other choice then to use this place. He then proceeded to mopping the floor the whole time. He mopped over my foot! One of the machines was leaking and he just pushed the water around the floor from it. That is a big yuck from me! He was very aggressive with people. He took one woman's clothes and threw them into the dryer as she was standing there putting her stuff in. He yelled at a couple for trying to dry their stuff. There was 30 minutes left until closing and he was right up in their faces and was yelling at them. They still had clothes in the washing machine. He could have let them throw their stuff in for 30 minutes! My stuff finished in the dryer. and some of my stuff was still a little damp. Because those machines do NOT spin cycling them enough. I needed to separate the dry from the wet so I could line dry my stuff at home. It was just a few minutes past closing and all my stuff was out of the dryer unlike the 10 other peoples stuff. This old man walks over to me and shoo's me with his hands and angrily looks at me and says get out. Are you kidding me? I was throwing my stuff into bags! Just about to leave! I told him to stop. I am bagging my stuff right now and out the door. And that I have spent hundreds of dollars at this place. He stood there and stared at me. I was bagging my stuff up. Hovering over me like he could make me move faster. So I shooed him back and said leave me alone I am leaving now! And Ill NEVER BE BACK! He said okay. I told him ill be leaving a review for him. He said okay I am not the owner I just work here. So okay then, Owners listen up! Lost business! And a review because your employee has 0 respect. I am just disgusted over this mans behavior. I think the name of this place may be a bit of engrish...hmmm I'm not really a domestic diva - oh yes - I talk a good game, but really the only time I do a good job cleaning is when my mother is coming over or I have a new boyfriend and want to try and trap him with the false impression I would make a great wife because of my housekeeping skills...ha ha ha, I'm crackin' myself up... I'm also a blanket lover, throws, comforters, you name it, I like to snuggle up with it. My comforter was starting to look a little rough, me eating on it while reading, watching tv, playing on the computer - my cat sleeping on various corners of it shedding - my niece and nephew jumping on it with their shoes on. I'll cut to the chase after that huge back story - I needed a way to get it clean. The last time I shoved it into my tiny apartment washing machine/dryer and afterward it had burn marks on it and didn't smell quite as good as I hoped. Probably because it couldn't move. Then I found Alfine. For $15 they transformed my comforter into a nice fluffy dream come true! I came here with my mom a few times to wash some bigger items. The washers range from 75lbs for $9.00 to 10lbs wash for $2.50. And yes this does add up. I used the hot water cycle, and it came out ice cold. I wasn't clear if it just didn't use hot water at all or if it rinsed in cold? Either way, they comforter didn't come out as clean as I expected. The dryers are nice and huge. 4mins for a quarter. On a full load probably will run you $3. We came here a few different times and when the woman is working she will make you divide up your loads.. which was annoying because they all fit in one dryer. We had to pay an extra $3, just made it seem like she wanted more money. The only reason to come here is if you have large items, your washer is broke, or you can't have a portable washer in your apartment. Doing your laundry here regularly will really add up. Avoid weekends, come afternoons on weekdays. read more

I Had a washer that had NO water coming out. I told the attendant and said"look the clothes are dry and there is only 14 min left". He proceeded to argue with me saying the water is coming out. I then said "No I have been watching it the whole time and it has never had enough water to get the clothes wet. See they are bone dry". He still wanted to argue with me. WOW. Their services are terrible! I came here to get a dress pants and a skirt dry cleaned and the owner was on his phone and didn't notice me until I said something. While I was there I also overhead a lady complaining about a machine that didn't work and took her money. He refused to give her money back even though she showed him. Overall the way he treats his customers is unacceptable. To make matters worse if you leave something behind, he will most likely put it on the counter with a free sign on it. I spent several hours yesterday at Alfine Laundromat doing a huge amount of laundry. One thing good I can say about the place is that they have lots of machines of varying sizes. The washing machines worked fine and I found the lady working there to be helpful. She however left and by the time I was using the dryers, there was a man there in charge. I put money into a dryer and ran it for about 40 minutes as he had recommended. When it finished the clothes were still soaking wet so it had run for the full length of time but there was no heat. I told the man about it and he practically ran away from me. He did not offer to replace my money, he didn't look at the dryer nor did he put a sign up letting others know it was out of order. I told several people that it didn't work or they would have lost their money too. The bathroom had no lock on the door and there was no hand soap and no paper towels to dry with. Overall the place was about as clean as you would expect and they did sweep while i was there so no big complaints there. My clothes did get clean and I was happy with the availability of machines. I thought it was on the expensive side however. My biggest complaint is the lack of response to my report of a machine being out of order and the cost. I will not be going back! read more
