I specifically was seeking out Sky River Bakery on 3/15/25. I lucked out with a nearby parking spot and had an opportunity to check out the pastry case offerings while in line. There's also a few tables to dine at onsite. Pleasant small town, neighborhood feel. Both folks behind the counter were welcoming and kindly answered my questions. Nice assortment of beverages and baked goods available like biscuits, cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, and other pastries. The person ahead of me made it a point to have biscuits and gravy plus cinnamon rolls to go. Cinnamon roll got my attention! I ended up ordering a ham & cheese biscuit - got two mini ones for the price of one, plus a cinnamon roll. The latter kept really well refrigerated which I later ate for breakfast before work during the week. Nice that it was a manageable size and not too cloying with glaze...Goldilocks just right, lol. Enjoyed this destination detour and thanks to fellow Yelp Elites, Craig and Earnie for putting this on my radar screen!

While not overly impressed, I can appreciate a solid spot with fresh donuts and pastries managing high traffic. Line tends to be long but moves at a moderate speed, as the employees are open to chatting. Large Butterhorn - excessively sweet to a point where I felt sick of sugar because it's also pretty big. I personally would rather eat a fluffy donut because this felt more like a condensed block of sugar, but seems to be a favorite for others. Might just not be for me. Swedish Almond Pastry - while this was also super sweet, the almond flavor was able to pop out at times. Sliced almonds on top helped sprinkle some extra flavor but were ultimately consumed by the sweetness. A little flakier in texture which helped dissociate with the dense sugar block.

It is always super clean in the shop, but it is not a place to sit and eat. Definitely go in and grab the goodies and be on your next destination type of area. The coffee is okay, I like a more robust tasting coffee roast and I feel like they use a more medium or light roast coffee. (not sure) The folks that work here get real busy and may get agitated by the time you get to put in your order. I am local here, so I see this often when I come and grab coffee. Its not bad where I have had too much experienced someone with an extremely bad attitude but we are human and have our days. The stand looks clean and well kept. I am not a big fan of the biscuits and gravy which they have here and I am not rating based off of that but I think it would be good to mention this for folks to know, it is not for me.

So we would not get the bun or the khachapouri again. But the choux and tart were delicious. And I'd be very interested in trying other items. This is a very pricey bakery, but nice for an occasional treat.
