Sukiyaki is a fast service Japanese hibachi counter located in the Mic Mac Mall food court. They serve up sukiyaki (with steamed rice), yakisoba (noodles), tonkanese (rice noodle soup) with choices of vegetable, tofu, chicken, beef or seafood, plus katsu, salmon, miso soup, gyoza, spring roll, and bottled pop (Pepsi products). The food is cooked fresh to order on the hibachi grill right in front of you.
I stopped by Sukiyaki for a quick and healthy lunch. I ordered the Tofu Yakisoba ($7.89 plus HST), which was cooked hot and fresh on the grill after I paid. The good portion of Tofu Yakisoba filled the plate, which was very tasty and flavorful. The Yakisoba had a mix of fresh vegetables (carrot, broccoli, cabbage), bean sprouts, firm tofu pieces tossed with thick noodles in a zesty Asian sauce. I really enjoyed my lunch since I was very hungry from shopping around the mall for over an hour. read more
