Great sushi! Very fresh and inexpensive. I recommend the salmon and tuna maki combo or poke bowl.

The sushi is always amazing, I recommend the salmon maki and the tuna, so fresh and tasty. Our server was very friendly and we had a nice conversation! Overall such a great experience and she even gave us some complimentary sweet potato tempura! The pricing was also very reasonable... go check it out

This used to be one of my favourite sushi restaurants in the city; I was an incredibly loyal…read morecustomer. Their lobster nigiri is actual lobster - let's face it, that is unheard of. However; my last three orders from them have been terrible and costly. The first time, I ordered the king crab, which was markedly more expensive and received imitation. I ordered tuna belly and they asked to replace it with tuna with no compensation for the difference in cost after I agreed. I swept this under the rug. The next order; as an appetizer I ordered softshell crab appetizer, they sent the roll, again I swept it under the rug. This third order was the straw that broke the camels back: I'm done. My order compared to what I got, is in in the pictures. Ordered spicy salmon roll - got Tuna Maki. Ordered Negi-Hamachi (suppose to be yellow tail and green onion), got a salmon roll. Not maki with avocado or even tempura bits; just rice and salmon. Vast cost difference. I got the Alaskan roll I ordered, but that is mine and the other two are my kids rolls, so I clearly won't eat in front of them. I'm done. Something is seriously wrong there and at this point it's a waste of money.

Sushi Jet is what would happen if sushi was invented in Halifax: enthusiastically fried, generously…read moresauced, and paired with things that make you tilt your head and wonder "why." I'm not saying anyone comes to an all-you-can-eat Nova Scotia sushi joint expecting an authentic Japanese experience, but this place takes a creative interpretation of the genre...let's call it sushi-inspired. Case in point: the fruit situation. Strawberries and bananas aren't exactly traditional sashimi accompaniments, but if you've ever thought "you know what this salmon needs? Fruit," then you're in the right place. Personally, the only fruit that I believe belongs in sushi is an avocado. I sampled an ambitious cross-section of the menu: hand rolls, nigiri, regular rolls, tempura, soups, curry, short ribs, weekend specials. The real adventure comes with anything sporting an action-movie name like "dynamite" or "volcano"--I discovered these translate to "swimming in sweet, creamy sauce." By the end of the meal, even if you skip dessert, everything starts tasting like dessert. Your seared nigiri arrives pre-glazed with creamy mayo and sauce, as if they're really committed to the theme. The only item that was safe from the sugar was the sashimi. That said, the service was genuinely great. Food arrived quickly, and the staff were as sweet as the sauces--friendly, attentive, and clearly taking pride in what they do. At nearly $40 per person, you could hit an izakaya for a different experience, but if you're the type who thinks donair sauce is a food group and condensed milk improves everything, this might just be your spot.

3.5 stars. Pretty decent AYCE sushi joint in the area. There wasn't anything super outstanding to…read morecall out other than the mackerel - I found that the mackerel tasted fresher and tastier than the mackerel I usually have in AYCE sushi places in the greater Toronto area. For ambiance, I really liked how spacious the inside of the restaurant was. Near the entrance, there is a nice fish pond with dry ice, and there are various tables throughout which are spread out and not too cramped. The restaurant is accessible as there is an elevator! My only complaint would be the ordering system in the iPad. Some menu items that normally would come by piece (i.e. 1 piece per order) would come in larger numbers. Definitely watch out for this when ordering! We made the mistake of ordering one too many tempura :'D
