I had a great experience working with Jorge at SuitSupply PHL. He struck the right balance of offering recommendations without ever feeling pushy. I came in with a very specific suit and custom fabric in mind, but Jorge suggested an option I had actually filtered out while browsing online. I'm glad he did--it ended up being a fun, versatile color/fabric that works beyond what I originally intended. Instead of just a summer/vacation suit I'd wear a handful of times, I can easily see myself wearing it to work as well and out on dates/weekends. I've been a SuitSupply customer since ~2018 and have purchased over a dozen suits, so I've had a range of experiences at this location. I've felt a push to a certain style multiple occasions a few years back in which left me dissatisfied so I started getting work wear at a different location. It can be a bit hit or miss depending on who you work with, but Jorge definitely stands out. He listens, gives thoughtful input, and helps you think a bit outside your initial plan--in a good way. No experience is perfect, but overall I'd absolutely work with him again. I'll likely be back in the fall for another staple suit, and he'll be the first person I look for. This review is several months too late. Last spring I had a terrific experience at Suitsupply in Philly. They have a nice selection of suits on the rack, or they'll take your measurements and make you a custom-made suit with the fabric you select. My consultant Reggie Stokes was amazing -- knowledgeable, patient and determined to make sure I walked out happy. Reggie custom-made a beautiful suit for me, and a week later helped me on a rush job for a second suit. The next time I need a suit, I'm going back to Reggie at Suitsupply. (1/5) Disappointed - Unexpected Durability Issues I wanted to like the suit--it fit well and looked great at first. But after just a few wears in my professional rotation, I noticed an issue I've never had with any other suit: the fabric in the groin area gave out, leaving a hole. It wasn't due to excessive movement or improper care, just normal wear. I'm not sure if I got unlucky with this particular suit or if it speaks to the overall durability of Suit Supply's lightweight fabric, but I expected far better at this price point. A suit should last more than a handful of wears, especially for professional use. We made an appointment ahead of time and when we arrived, we had to wait a bit. The manager came over and offered us a refreshment which was a nice touch. We had comfy couches to wait on, we were ok with it! Once Alivia was done with her appointment, she came over and did a quick assessment. She was able to check the system for my wife's measurements from our previous visit and quickly pointed us to the area we needed to be in. My wife identified a few suits she loved and tried one on. Anastasia's attention to detail and patience with both the customization and fitting of the tux as well as her professionalism throughout the entire experience was unmatched. Prior to that, i was a frequent shopper at suit supply in brookfield (battery park area) When i moved to Philly, I immediately looked for suit supply expecting a similar experience. Suit supply Philadelphia really has a small boutique vibe with the same expertise you'd get in NY. The employees are friendly, professional and give great recommendations. Sometimes i go to SS to pass time. I literally know every employee there on a first name basis. The team is so friendly and resourceful that going to SS is a hobby. The new custom process is also light years ahead. For men who have statures that don't fit traditional sizes or just men who want a pattern that is not in stock, i highly recommend the customs route. Overall, i think this is the best men's suiting place to go to for your needs. The team is very collaborative too, so don't be surprised if someone else comes and gives you some advice. I've bought two suits from here and so far they've been the best ones I've ever owned. Fast and accommodating staff I always ask for Jay he's the man and knows his stuff. This is the place to go if you're looking to finally graduate from the department store and get a suit that really fits great and allows you to comfortably show off. The quality of my suits have held up as well. I travel and when generally on the move it is easy to unintentionally wear your clothes a bit harder than expected. I've had no issues and the suits have held their own. The tailoring is done on site and is a very quick process (few minutes tops). I wasn't sure what to expect -- after walking downstairs and checking out the racks, a young woman, Monica, approached me asking if I would like some help. Two hours later, I walked out with two lovely suits with trouser alterations, a shirt, and a tie. I don't think it's enough to merely leave a Yelp review about Monica. She was incredibly attentive, professional, charming, and walked me through every step of the process. She had a great eye that someone with artistic sensibilities would possess. She also had a good sense of humor to boot. Definitely went the extra mile in making sure my experience was top-notch. In short, I will definitely return to this store location for my future suiting needs, and when I do, I hope to have Monica assist me again. Bought suit from this place twice and they are both worth a lot of money. Spent extra money on alterations as well. The first time - gentleman named Taylor helped me and his measurements were on point and the suit looked sharp! He was very helpful. During the second time after I bought the suit I went for alterations. This guy named Evan did the measurements and he was so annoying and almost rude with his smart ass comments about the fit. If I am spending money on my clothes I better get it to my liking not according to what Evan thinks is right for me. Train your employees to be humble and polite. After this experience I will not be purchasing anything from Suitsupply. Update: Store manager Sean reached out to me and he made sure that my experience at the store was nothing short of stellar. The selection and style is great however the quality is terrible. Ordered a custom suit and within 18 months it was falling apart. I was told it was moth holes even though the other 10+ suits and jackets (including 2 others from Suit Supply) in my closet are fine. In addition to excessive wear the seams are coming apart as well. I worked with Brian to purchase a suit and two shirts. This is my first time purchasing a proper suit in a few years and I purchased a suit for my sister's wedding and interviews. Suit supply is a little bit on the pricey side but what you are paying for is more than the suit, you are paying for service and you are paying for something that is tailor fit and that you can feel confident about wearing. I worked with Brian on three separate occasions to make my purchase and he was very patient and extremely thoughtful in hearing out my requirements and working with me to find something that was within my budget & appropriate for the occasion. I highly recommend him because he understands fashion and he's been in the industry for 10+ years. Finally, suit supply has times when it gets very busy and other times when it's less so, I recommend either setting up an appointment or looking for a suit at an unusual time like middle of the day or late afternoon. This way the staff can help you and give you their undivided attention. They are willing to take the time so you should also take your time in picking out a good suit! I drove from north jersey to this location because my past experiences were good. I drove 2 hours to this location. I regret wasting my time. The salesman were pushy, made it pretty clear that they work on commissions. I had such a bad experience that I asked them to mail me the suit to my home address so I can have it altered at the nyc location and so I never have to step foot in this location again. I still have not heard back or had my suit sent to me after two weeks. read more

After walking into the store and being amazed at the athestics as well as the colorful array of clothes, I was quite dissapointed with the quality of service at this store. I shop at high end retailers as well as custom clothiers and have never received the type of treatment I have at Suit Supply. On both occasions (initial purchase and subsequent fitting) both associates were somewhat snooty and obnoxious. I'm not sure where the attitude stems from but their customer service is certainly lacking. Hopefully the general manger reads these Yelp reviews and has a talk with his/her staff. I would love to be a frequent customer but if this attitude persists, I can think of better places to spend my money. read more

Suit Supply has put a lot of effort into appearing to be a high-quality clothing store but besides the quality of their fabric (which is generally excellent) the other key elements (service, fit, tailoring) are more on the level of a lower-end department store. Fabric: generally their shirts and suits are made from top-notch fabric, which they seem to know and emphasize in their advertising / presentation of the products. At their price point this should be a strong draw for customers, but... Service: generally terrible. The representatives in the store are overly pushy and weirdly defensive when there was an issue with tailoring (and my trying to return a shirt). I returned a dress shirt that I had purchased since the fit was pretty terrible (see below) and the sales guy inspected it to an almost absurd extent, even though the tag was still on it. At higher end stores (Brooks Brothers, Nordstrom, etc.) I have returned things with no tag or way after purchasing it (once returned a shirt to BB 2 years after buying it when I finally tried it on and realized I couldn't button the neck) with no questions asked. Much more in line with either a lower-end store or an ultra high-end store, which this is certainly not. Fit: This is where I was really disappointed and if the clothing had fit better I would have looked past the service. They clearly market themselves as a slim, athletic fit but their dress shirts / suits are weirdly tight in the shoulders while being loose in the abdomen (aka the typical out of shape American cut). I typically wear buy slim cut BB shirts with a 17' neck and get the waist taken in since I have a slim waist, but even after trying to take the waist in on one of their dress shirts here (which was already overly tight in the shoulders / arms) it still looked like it was cut for someone who lives off of McDonalds. I understand they want to appeal to a broader market, but this is clearly not the way they advertise themselves. Overall, I'd say it's great fabric and snazzy marketing without the true signs (service, cut, tailoring) that make a clothing brand top notch. read more

So I have several custom tailored suits made for me over the past 2 decades and having to pick up a suit for a very special occasion for my mother last minute, I had to be able to pick a suit off the rack (very slim cut), get minimal alterations (done on-site), and look good without breaking the bank. My friend suggested Suitsupply (I'd never heard of them prior) and after doing some research and going in to try on a suit, I was sold. Nick, who helped me pick out the suit, color, shirt, and tie was helpful and picked out a few things that I would never had picked out myself if I went into a store alone. The suit feels great. Nice and fit without feeling like you're wearing a corset (not that I would wear one) and the jacket slips right on and off. I love the style (European with the double vents, slightly higher button, ticket pocket, notched lapels, etc.) and it's slim. They do have more boxy suits but I went in looking for a slim cut. I was a little skeptical on the tie (because it's something my dad would wear) but once I got home and tried on the full outfit again, he was right and man, I look good. Of course the sleeves need to be shortened slightly, pants hemmed, back pulled in, etc which is done there and not sent to China, it's good to know that work is kept local. Most of the alterations take a week but they had my pants done within 30 mins for me since I was in a rush. Their shirts feel great and comfortable, more so than the J Crew or Armani shirts that I own. Super helpful guys, great selection, great quality at a great price. I plan on buying quite a few more suits (plus casual sports coats) here and save on the cost with custom suits. Well cut suits made from decent, Italian fabric at a really awesome price point. The suits at Suitsupply have fully-canvased construction, something found only in the top end of off-the-rack suits. Can't beat that. All the tailoring that needed to be done (by the in house tailoring staff) on my suit after I purchased it was to hem the pants and shorten the collar. Service is to-the-point compared to the SoHo & Gold Coast stores, but I can't really complain since I knew almost exactly what I was looking for. Also, the dress shirt I tried on is probably the best fitting shirt off the rack I've ever tried on, no excess fabric in the wrong places. If you want to look sharp an understated but euro/modern kind of way in a quality suit without breaking the bank, this place is it. read more

Our young salesman, Conard, was wonderful at his job. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. In no time at all, Conrad helped us find a suit, shirt, and lovely tie. I own over 10 pieces from Suit supply and was a fan. I recently went in to return a pair of suit pants that had a few rips after only wearing them twice. The first sales associate I spoke with insisted the rips were moth bites. After disputing that claim with him - knowing my new apartment doesn't have moths (and reconfirming this after the fact) - he called over his coworker who also immediately and matter of factly claimed that they were moth bites, having only glanced at them for a moment. They were short and rude. I would suggest you take a page from Nordstrom or Boyd's and learn respect for your customers. Train your sales associates to be humble (see other reviews). I enjoy networking with many others in the professional industry who need suits. I will not recommend Suit Supply to them or other friends in need of a suit for any occasion. I reached out to corporate to express my displeasure with this store. They said I would have to prove it in order to get my $200+ pants replaced. Such a very unfortunate experience with this store. About a month before my wedding, I stopped in to try on a few suits. I needed a basic slim fit black suit which they claimed they had plenty of sizes in stock. The first one I tried on was too large and baggy, and the 2nd was much too small. I asked if they had a size in between but the individual helping me assured me that they could alter the larger one to provide a perfect fit. After the alterations were marked, they had me pay upfront. Now with all the alterations the suit was quite a bit more than I anticipated but I was happy to pay knowing I would get a perfect fitting suit. As I was leaving, I reiterated that my wedding was in a little less than a month but they chuckled and said "don't worry, it will be ready in time". I received an email stating that my suit would be ready in a little over 2 weeks, which was fine because that left a week before my wedding. The date that the suit was supposed to be done by came and went and I thought I would give them 1 extra day since they were probably busy. The next day I called and asked about my suit, they claimed the suit was misplaced and put "into the wrong pile" and that the alterations haven't started. I again, told them my wedding was the upcoming weekend and I needed a suit by then. They promised me it would be done by Thursday. I came in on Thursday to try on the suit. Once I put the suit on panic hit. The suit was somehow worse than when I tried it on the first time. I didn't even need to say anything because as I walked out of the changing room, the individual helping me quickly left to go grab some other suits for me to try on. So, two days before my wedding they were having me start over from scratch. Apparently, the suit we started with was much too large to alter down and they didn't have the smaller size in stock. So, in order to make a sale they tried to alter a suit rather than just tell me my size wasn't currently available. After trying on a suit that was my correct size, they reached out to the King of Prussia store to rush order a black suit in that size. I had to then come back the day before my wedding. The suit obviously fit better but since I didn't have time to alter the pants or jacket it was still an off the rack suit that wasn't tailored (besides hemming the pant legs). Keep in mind I already paid quite a bit for the original tailoring. Through all this what bothered me the most, was I never once received a simple "we're sorry". As I read the other reviews, I can see that this is a common theme throughout. read more

Worst experience!! At the time of getting fitted/ordering the suit I was told to pick from a very options based on my delivery requirements(I needed the suit in 20 days). They guaranteed me that it will done by a certain date. I called the store and all I got was we do not know where it is but it should be here in a week and will call you with updates. I never got a call back. I sent an email to customer service panicking that I will not have my suit for my wedding. Again never heard back from them. I called the customer service and again they said they need few HOURS to look in to the situation but this is "normal" to take 4-6 weeks for the suit to get ready and was not sure why the store rep would promise me a 20 day turn around. This is the worst suit buying experience. Its all about what they can do/say to sell you a $1000 suit and not follow up on the delivery date. On top of that the customer service is absolutely horrendous. read more

The prices are reasonable, much less expensive than jcrew (who doesn't even do alterations!!!!). He got great service. Kristian worked on him and gaurenteed that we would have his suit by our wedding date...which was two weeks away...(imagine how anxious I became when I found out my fiance still hadnt bought a suit!!!! sigh. Men.) We went to Jcrew and Joseph A Banks. Jcrew had mediocre service. JaBanks had old fashioned suits that didn't really fit what we were looking for. If you go, ask for Kristian. He gracefully handled my blunt criticism of what looked good on my fiance and what didn't. The guy at jcrew was not able to handle my honest opinion. read more

The suit was not in the store, but they fitted me for a similar suit and promptly ordered the correct suit into the store. It came in and alterations were made. Very happy with how it looks. I recently moved to Philadelphia from Austin and was eager to check out a physical Suit Supply store as Austin doesn't have one. Immediately upon entering I was greeted by Evan. I told him what I was looking for in a suit and he led me downstairs to their collection. The downstairs portion of the shop is quite literally wall-to-wall with suits of many different styles, cuts, and fabrics. He had me try on two different sizes until he pinpointed my exact size. After that we took a look at the Washington, Lazio, and Napoli styles. I loved the Washington for the peak lapels and slim tailoring throughout, but ended up going with the Lazio as it was a slightly more conservative style. Since I was using this suit for interviews I didn't want to take any chances. I've never had a suit fit off the rack so perfectly. While this is unlikely to happen for everyone, it just made me like the suits even more. The only adjustment I had to do was hem the pant leg up. I paid $13 for the hem which is a discount to what I would have paid somewhere else. The pants were tailored in-house within 10 minutes while I browsed their shirt and tie collections. I was very impressed by the product knowledge Evan displayed. He walked me through the entire construction of the suits he had showed me and was genuinely interested in me making a confident purchase. On my way out he offered additional instructions on proper care of my new suit. He truly went above and beyond his role in helping me purchase the right product for me.
