I recently went to this J. Crew and asked the sales person on the floor to hold a sweater for a few…read morehours. They told me where to pick up the sweater when I returned, and when I returned and told the person at the counter my name, they knew where the sweater was being stored. It just took a few minutes. I was impressed that they are so organized and the staff is on the same page about the procedure to follow when a customer asks to hold an item.

I will say that customer service in the NYC SoHo location comes with a bit of attitude but the salesgirls here are always super friendly and very helpful. Even the security guard smiles and takes the time to open the door to greet you. Depending on the time of day, a line can form to get in. My favorite pieces to get are the spaghetti strap tank tops and PJ shorts. I also like visiting Brand Melville in different states for their logo city tees. Finally got one that says Philly and I plan to get one in Tucson later this summer when I visit my son. I am kicking myself for not getting one in Hong Kong. I only found out that they have a 4-level Flagship store in Causeway Bay when I came back home to the states. Refund Policy - you have 21 days (w/receipt) for exchanges and store credit only. - there is no free shipping for online orders. - as of June 2026, they are closing down all their fitting rooms. It was conveniently located .6 miles from our hotel. No lines to get in so extra star for that! Chicago and NYC Brandys always seem to have lines! It also more spacious than most of them I've been to, but the clothes are still pretty packed in. My daughter claims that it's fun to visit different ones for the city specific shirts. She got a philly sweatshirt, tee and a bunch of other stuff that looks exactly like what she already has in her closet. The good news is that Brandy seems to be less expensive and classier than the other brands of choice for teens so for that I don't mind it. I'd prefer to visit local boutiques when in new cities, but do like they have a little big of local flavor with their city specific tees. The girls who worked here were also super helpful and on the way out suggested we check out their newer location in the Philly area. I went back downstairs to the check out and although the staff was very friendly, they seemed less than enthusiastic about their work environment. Even the security guy at the door looked bored. After looking for some shirts in my size, I asked to try them on, and, they weren't a fit. No big deal, the sales associate brought in a different size shirt -- it fit well, so I picked out two in the same size and went to pay. Normally, a $95 dress shirt is not in my price range, but I figured I would splurge -- hey, they were nice! The associate failed to tell me the larger sizes that he brought over were an extra $15 each. Not generally a dealbreaker, but in that case, I thought it to be poor customer service not to mention the upcharge. Bottom line was, some of these guys seemed more interested in having personal conversations than communicating with their customers.

I'm a dog walker and a gym rat so for me, comfortable, functional gym wear is really important! I have 2 pairs and I'm debating getting a third pair, the deep cellphone pocket is really what I love, so few pairs of gym pants have pockets, and Athleta's deep pocket has me sold. I can fit my iPhone 6S Plus in my pocket! The material that the Relay's are made of seems to wick away the sweat so I can wear them in warmish weather and also on cooler days. They're stylish and ohh so comfortable with the drawstring too. I suggest hand drying them though. I've bought a few tops at Athleta too which I like and was very comfortable but wasn't of the same quality as the pants. I like that I can use my Gap charge card and Rewards here and that they offer classes, I think it would be fun to check them out! They were giving away free KIND bars and that was a nice touch. I also really like the complimentary tote bags that they give you when you shop with them! My only "2 cents" of advice: they have a great return policy but I would appreciate a bit more clarification on it. I exchanged two or three pairs of pants because I thought that was part of the return policy but then I was made to feel guilty for doing so... I think it's a great return policy but it would be nice if it was a bit more clear as to whether exchanging clothes is part of it or not because that left me feeling confused and unclear. I forgot to bring my leggings with me to work, and I never skip the gym, so I found myself a coupon and headed here to buy some leggings. Not an overly welcoming store. Mostly, I was extremely surprised by how THIN the fabric on the leggings were. Downright appalling for the price. I'm used to Alo leggings, and if I'm feeling cheap, Under Armour Outlet leggings. I tried on two pairs, and went with a high-waist velvet pair that I could wear once to the gym (not ideal) and then casually with a tunic sweater and boots - I'd been wanting a pair anyway. I bought an XS, could have probably gone XXS if I'd been working out in these regularly. Tight legs, loose waist, just like every other Banana, Gap, Old Navy thing I've ever tried on! I like more of a sleek look for my gym clothes, and a lot of the stuff here looked boring and like they tried to copy Alo or Carbon38 unsuccessfully. Thankfully, I was able to use my coupon, because these thin leggings are not worth the price, not even the price after the coupon!
