So I have only been in the AV for 4 years, so I haven't experienced too many donut shops. I usually go to Sweetie Pies on Ave L in Lancaster or I would go to Spudnuts, but I can honestly say this is probably the only shop I will return to. We just moved here and are so happy to have found such a wonderful donut place. The owner is incredibly sweet and generous and always treats my two boys like family. They constantly beg to go to Sugary Donuts, they love the selection and the donut holes she throws in as an extra treat for them when we come in. My 6 year old son wanted to buy donuts for the whole family, he was going to be a little short so she graciously let him make his purchase even though he was a little short. Came here with my husband since we just moved to the area and were on the hunt for good donuts. Thank you yelpers! You were right once again! The donuts were very good. All looks great! We only got one dozen and my only compliant is that it looks like people had gotten to the shop before us and taken most of the donuts. Mind you, we saw a lady carrying 3 dozen donuts as we walked up. This is a good sign that locals enjoy this place, but also bad for us since it limited the options of donuts. Stumbled across this tucked away little gem while trying to find the 24 Hr Fitness nearby. Coincidence? I think NOT. Lol. I ended up returning my 2nd trip here. A woman working there was SUPER sweet, told me to let her know ahead of my next trip and she'd even make some special donuts JUST for me! After following on IG, the woman even remembered our conversation after meeting me one time, that was incredible to me! Such great service. Service friendly, display case nice & clean filled with all type of donuts .I got a dozen donuts which I chose myself. All were fresh .my children enjoyed them all a few like the crumb glaze I put n a zip lock bag froze I just took out set on the counter after 10mins. It was thawed out still taste fresh like the first day I bought them .I would recommend u try sugary donuts in Lancaster behind the burger king & T shirt shop on 15th .I see some on the locals hanging out in there ,you can buy ur lotto tickets and scratch off there too read more

This place is not known well enough. The service is amazing. The woman who's usually there is just the sweetest. I love getting boba here, she has her own flavor to classic flavoring a of boba. I used to come here once in a while when I was working as a banker. As soon as I walked in she would prepare my coffee with a dozen doughnut holes. She knew what I wanted I didn't have to tell her. I didn't come all the time but she always remembered my order. They have delicious doughnuts. Coffee always tasted fresh never had a problem with my order. I miss coming here. read more

Everyone was nice. I didn't care for the donut both selection (not a lot of donuts for a Sunday morning at 9) and recipe. It was more like a frosted bagel and the donut holes were more like beignets, but a lot more dense. I just like light and fluffy donuts. I came in with my toddlers as a treat before school and (especially my boys) and I were greeted with genuine kindness. There has been too many times when I come into a donut shop that the person greeting us looks grumpy and impatient when we are there. It is clean and their donuts are great! Now I love cake donuts but I loved their raised/yeast donuts!!(we had their donut holes) It wasn't an empty shell of a donut that is normally the yeast characteristics, but a donut that had a good amount of lightness with just enough density to give it a good bite. Still melt in the mouth good that went perfect with my coffee. Last but not least... Not oily at all! You know when you finish your donut and you have a slightly nauseating feeling that half of your donut sponged up the fry oil? And your mouth has a slightly funny texture to it because of it? After living in the av for over 3 years, it dawned on me that I haven't had a donut since I moved here, nor did I even know of any donut shops out here. I live almost walking distance from here. 1st time I stopped in was yesterday to pick up some donut holes for my toddler, then went back today to pick up a dozen. There were 2 ladies ahead of me (the 1st ordered 2 dozen and the 2nd ordered a dozen) which left my options a little more narrowed down but that wasn't a problem for me as they had a good variety of donuts still left. The donuts were absolutely delicious. The customer service was great. The person who filled my order apologized for the wait to the lady in front of me for the previous customer (that took quiet a bit of time ordering her 2 dozen) and then apologized to me and thanked me for waiting when it came my turn. Truly a gem. Very happy and pleased w the service and how fresh and tasty the donuts were. Will definitely be coming back. read more

More then 5 stars!!!! This is a very friendly place and ALL the items to eat are fresh!!! After eating here, I now realize all the other donut places I EVER went to were OLD donunts. I think if I ever had a fresh donut anywhere else...I just got lucky on the day and hour I went. Don't bother going anywhere else...this place is the best. Their prices are excellent...cheaper then other donut shops. Really....great place. The only thing I would say on the down end is the few tables to sit and eat in the shop.
