Best wax I've ever gotten. The sugaring hurt way worse then a regular wax and the women was very thorough. Pricey but I would definitely go back. read more

Very thorough and professional services. Office is very clean. The best place I've been to in the area for the service. The package deals make regular maintenance more affordable. Highly recommended. read more

Nothing negative to say at all! For a pretty uncomfortable "service", they really know how to make you feel super comfortable.

Ok so I waited a week before writing my review. This was my first time ever getting a Brazilian and I was pretty scared. I chose this place because of the reviews I read in yelp about this place and how the sugaring treatment is less painful than waxing. Of course, I was still hesitant because how unpainful could someone ripping hair off of your girl be..... Well it was pretty awesome. I had Lyndia as my tech and she was amazing. She was very through. She made me so comfortable and made my first experience wonderful. The only thing that I can say that was very painful was the spray after the waxing but it only stung for a minute. I am so happy that I chose to get the 6 month groupon package because the price it would have cost me to get 3 waxings, I get for $200. Which is an amazing price since each wax costs about $90 each!!! The whole process takes about 30 to 40 minutes and I was able to do it during my lunch time, so major plus. I will continue to go here even after my group on finishes!!! read more

I heard great things about this place from a co-worker and I had intended on trying sugar waxing rather than a typical hot wax, but never got around to it until I saw they had a groupon. The space is very clean and welcoming. Ms Lydia is extremely thorough and makes sure you get what you pay for, which says a lot because this the the most expensive coochie cleaning I've ever heard of. Minimal pain with sugaring in comparison to a regular wax. read more

Lydia is great and very thorough! She really gets in there and gets every single hair. She even removed ingrown hairs. The review below by Kathlean, I was also another person who purchased my second Groupon for this place. I will own up to that I did not read the fine lines saying Groupons are for only New Clients. However, my experience was very different from Kathlean. I was able to use my credit amount towards purchasing a package (which was discounted - 4 Brazilians for $220). I had no hassle about it and Lydia was very friendly and I've only experience great customer service. read more

My review is simply my opinion and it has nothing to do with the salon because the staff was pleasant and professional and the treatment areas were clean. Sugaring is not for me, however it may be for you. Unfortunately this was the most painful hair removal experience of my life. Usually the first "wax" of the bikini season is uncomfortable, however I was almost brought to tears and wanted to jump off the table and run out of the room. The technician worked with me when I told her to stop in certain areas but I will not be going back. My skin is sensitive and waxing does make you feel on fire sometimes but perhaps they numb you before? And usually I'm fine a few hours later. I used to get bikini waxes during lunch and return to work so I feel my pain tolerance is fairly high. Only applying baby powder at the beginning before ripping hair out of your skin at the roots and spraying you with witch hazel at the end that stings is not helpful either. I was sore hours/days after. Applying semi-warm sugar solution with latex gloves that dig into your skin is not the route for me. Some of the hairs were too short I guess, so going over the same spot over and over again, nah that's not painful. Go at your own risk and I wish you luck. read more

This was my first time getting a Brazilian and it was by far the best waxing experience I've had. Clean, efficient, and sanitary. I would go here exclusively, however it is quite expensive. read more

This was my first Brazilian wax ever. I went here on a groupon, and would return without one! First, it's a super clean studio (no nasty hair/leftover wax), and the lady paid a lot of attention to detail. Brazilian waxes are NOT for the faint of heart but she worked quickly and thoroughly. After I told her it was my first one, she made sure I got directions on how to deal with any in-growns that might occur (none did) and all the aftercare info. I am very pleased with the wax and experience overall. I highly recommend this place! read more

Since I'm an experienced sugaring fan, I bought the 6 month unlimited for new clients only to give this place a try. The place is nicely decorated, which helps. Lydia is awesome, she even gets out some ingrown hairs (which is painful, but you'll thank her later for). She does tweeze after if you need it, so be prepared. Usually I'm already numb from the sugaring so I hardly feel the tweezing. I liked that they text you a day or so before your appointment as a reminder. I am now at the end of my Groupon and every experience has been the same quality, yay for Lydia because consistency is key! She always takes her time and never rushes. I've never had an "issue" with the front desk except for one occasion. After I went for my first time I didn't' realize that I need to keep the card they gave me to keep track of the sessions. The next time I came in, they couldn't find my paperwork that I filled out. They sent me back for the sugaring while they looked. When I was done, they weren't successful in finding my paperwork so they started me off from that session (bonus!). Everyone was polite (I always find it to be easy when you smile and are polite from the get-go as well) and I would recommend this place to someone who lives near the studio. I live in Alexandria, so it was a bit of a hike for me when there are other places closer to me, but I couldn't beat the Groupon deal. I would go here again if I get offered a good deal, but I think I'll try to find a location closer to my home. read more

Amazing- perfectionist. Have seen both ladies and both are great. Would recommend to any and every women

Lydia is THE BEST. She is very detail oriented and a perfectionist which is evident in the quality of her work. I've been coming here for over a year and I come to see her even though I live in Arlington. Definitely worth your while to get the package deals if you plan to come consistently. read more

I tried this place after reading reviews and purchasing a groupon. It was very easy to schedule an appointment. The place was immaculate and the staff are very professional. I realllllllly wanted to try sugaring because I have sensitive skin and am allergic to many waxes with artificial fragrances or chemicals. I called and was glad to hear that the sugaring products are all organic- just sugar, lemon juice and water in a tacky like paste. I am an admitted amateur and my pain threshhold is very low. It did hurt but only minimally so. She was VERY quick and gentle (if there can be a gentle wax). And boy... talk about thorough. After today's session, I am a believer. I bought the package for 4 waxes and will be coming back. I highly recommend the process and this professional studio. read more

Great experience! Comfortable atmosphere and quality waxing. I discovered The Sugaring Studio on a Groupon and so happy I did!

Best place to get a wax. This was my third brazillian ever (first was with hard wax, second was regular wax/strips) but this sugaring is something amazing!!! It was way less painful than the others I received and this lady did everything and left nothing. She 'inspected' her work afterwards too. Very thorough. I'm so happy I bought the 6 month package. Amazing results. read more

This is the best sugaring i've ever had. Lydia is so professional and precise. She really takes her time

I love it! I did it for the first time, and she did such an amazing job!def. going there again

The studio smelled great and was very clean. The waxing experience was very professional and thorough. I was pleased! Front desk receptionist did not have the best costumer service, but other than that it was a great experience! read more

Great experience - I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Lydia was so professional and meticulous. Not a single hair was left behind. While sugaring experience cannot be pain-free, she made it very, very comfortable. The facilities are clean. I have been to a couple of salons that looked clean in general, but you would see wax splattered around the warming baths etc. Not here. Everything was spotless, and I am super picky in this regard. The place is easy to find, conveniently located, the receptionist was friendly, there was a very relaxing music playing. read more

Great experience, all around! As painless as it gets (not pain-free, of course), super clean facilities, and meticulous service. Also, the location is convenient and parking is plentiful. I used a groupon for my first visit, and will definitely be back, although the 'regular' price is certainly not inexpensive. I have been to at least two other salons for the same service before, and none of them comes close. 10 stars if I could! read more

I have visited about 7 or 8 times. The service is fast, friendly and professional. And very, very thorough. I will not lie - I find sugaring almost as painful as waxing. However, the results are just so much better than it is worth the pain. The studio is cute and clean and the receptionists are very nice. My only complaint is that they are less than subtle when "hinting" at a tip after the service, and they clearly record how much you tip each time you visit. I would rather that Lydia just set the price where she wants it and then not ask for a tip. I found that buying the packages are a pretty good deal. read more

After going to three other Brazilian wax services around the area, this is definitely the best so far. From the cleanliness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff to the level of pain I feel is far better than the other places I have gone to. There are two technicians at this location and both are wonderful! The front desk lady is nice and helpful. Other places I have gone to done clean you up as well as this place. They are very detailed and hardly miss any hairs. They go in with tweezers if the wax can't pick it up due to the shortness or thinness of the hair. They do not accept male clients for Brazilians but will do other areas for men. It's about $90 for back and chest separately and also depends on how much hair he has. The wax and toner that they use afterwards are all organic products and I've only had to go once a month where as another place I went to for some reason my hair grew back much quicker and more hair grew. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the wax or if the technician at the other place did not get the majority of the hairs but it felt like a waste of money. Overall sugaring studio is definitely the best in the area and the rooms are big and clean and warm. In the winter time that definitely makes things a little more comfortable. read more

This sugaring studio is easily one of the best in the area. I didn't have to wait long in the waiting room, someone took care of me right away. I found it strange that she didn't ask me to put a towel over the waxing area after undressing; it felt a little unprofessional and uncomfortable. The wax itself was absolutely great, she moved quixkly but still gave me time to rest. She did a wonderful job on the wax, removing everything! It lasted for over two weeks (and I have thick hair so that was impressive). They really know what they're doing here as far as the actual services go. In addition, their packages are reasonably priced which is hard to find! Unfortunately, I've been trying to make an appointment here for over 6 months. No one picks up the phone!! The one time I was able to book an appointment, I had to cancel and no one was there to pick up the phone when I tried to reschedule. As great as the service was, I would love to go back, but they really need to hire a receptionist. read more

Bought a Groupon. $45 for one Brazilian for a new customer. It was my first time getting it done so, I was a little nervous, but she was just so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. I've gotten my underarms waxed before and I thought this was less painful! She was great --gave her a fairly generous tip as well. I feel bad I didn't get her name (she is the more petite of the two ladies). This was almost 5 months ago and because it was my first time, I thought I'd try some other places. I've gone to 2 other places since and I just had to write a review because I was so unhappy with my later services. They are much more professional, clean, nice and detailed. She took her time after to tweeze and make sure she got everything. I regret bringing my business to the other spas. Definitely coming back to Sugaring Studio. Unfortunately, I can't get the Groupon anymore because I'm not longer a new customer, but will still be so worth the full price! read more
