It's a bit of a drive for me but they had good reviews so I decided to do it, and I'm happy I did! My actual experience with the waxer was good. I am very pleased with the service here. I wish I got the technician's name but she had a bob. She was very sweet and meticulous I have never left a waxing studio with every little hair removed she got them all! I suffer from ingrowns because of my thick hair and regular waxing is bad news for me. I found that with sugaring I don't have any issues. I've been to other salons where the customer service is not as good, but I felt very comfortable here. She even gave me suggestions for treating future ingrowns. Please take into consideration that this is my opinion, here is a little bit about me so you know if this is relevant to you: I have been waxing at the same place in Rockville for over 2 years. Even when I moved to NOVA I was a faithful customer and would drive to Rockville on my lunch break. My lady, Cindy, was amazing and always took great care of me, in-growns and all! She is quick, 15 min, and never leaves any hair. My friend recommended this place after buying a groupon. I've never tried sugaring before but she convinced me that it was way better than regular waxing. Experience: - Called in the morning (she honors the price on location) and was able to get an appointment for noon THE SAME DAY! - Easy to find location, simple décor, the sugaring room was clean, had a nice comfy massage type table covered with towels - Lydia was prompt and took me back right away - The whole process took about 30 min, she explained that the sugar is made on site and has natural ingredients, she also used clean gloves every time she dipped back into the hot sugar - I thought it hurt WAY less than waxing, I have pretty thick hair too and very sensitive skin. Not sure if she treated smaller areas or if the sugar didn't rip off the top layer of my skin as badly, but dare I say.... It's something I am not dreading any longer! - She wasn't afraid to really get in there! Hahaha I had my legs every which way and she even gave me this (read: not awkward/weird) butt massage! Just a quick thing, with her forearms which helped relax my muscles. Super great touch, I tipped extra - I liked it so much that I bought the 6 months of unlimited waxes since I live and work in the area. She told me to come back in 3 weeks, I am totally there! Results: I noticed that my skin down there wasn't fire truck red, nor did I see that many angry red follicles that always make the area look unsightly the first day. I was nice and smooth and she maybe left 1-2 hairs, but honestly, I don't even care since it hurt less and looked so much better. It's been almost two weeks and the hair is just starting to grow in. I don't see any signs of the hair growing faster or thicker. Same old as after a regular wax, but now I am going to go after 3 weeks rather than 5-6, I am curious how it will be on shorter hair because with waxing I always had to wait extra time for it to get everything. Totally annoying in the summer. Summary: Highly recommended, it's a great deal. Not sure if I would fork over 90$ for this which is the actual price (my old place charges $37 for wax), but for 200$ for 6 months, it is a steal! She doesn't make you pay until after the service, so go and try it! HINT: SHE WILL HONOR THE GROUPON PRICE ON LOCATION because Groupon take 50% of the sale price! =O You may even buy the 6 months package like I did I will update if necessary, I always try to give back to my Yelp community because I rely on reviews! read more

So I have been doing Brazilians for years, but using the regular wax and only recently heard about Sugaring. I am sure I am late to the game but oh well. I decided to try it with a groupon which ended up being $39 and I left a $20 tip. I do not know the name of the woman who did my waxing, but she was very nice, although there was definitely a language barrier there. I am very good with accents and understanding people but she was a tough one. She was however, meticulous. I don't think she left one thing to be removed. She also took care of some ingrown hairs I didn't know I had, although that was almost unbearably painful. I have to say, this was not any less painful than the regular waxing, if not more painful. I've had Brazilian waxes before and this was, by far, the most painful. From the repeated use of the wax, sometimes up to 10 times, on the same location to the burn of the witch hazel spray at the end, this was an excrutiating experience. Also, the (small Asian) woman who performed my wax put her foot on the table, inches from my naked crotch, during the wax. If you've never been waxed anywhere else, you may not realize that there's another way to do it. Also, I was in pain for 72 hours post wax. I do not recommend this company. Getting right to the point this sugaring studio is the only one I'll go to moving forward And cannot recommend them highly enough. I had a half leg wax done after intentionally stopping the leg waxing because regardless of who I went to my legs just continued to look horrible With broken hairs that would then become ingrown, smaller hairs I would have to pluck out at home and of course leaving the salon a sticky mess. The woman who performed my waxing removed the hair in the direction of it's growth the way it should be removed. Plus the sugar wax seemed to exfoliate also. I spent 2 years without waxing so I could focus on using AHA & BHA scrubs, lotions and body peels to get all the ingrown hairs out before I researched and found Suharing Studio and I will never go anywhere else. I went to Sugaring Studio for the 1st time on 10/18 with the Groupon special. I have had sugaring done at a few places in the DMV area and this by far has been the best experience! Kim and Soo are professional, clean, and efficient. The customer experience was excellent. I was in and out in 25 minutes and I dare you to find a hair. Also the clean up process was great. While one cleans and soothes the treated area the other gives you a shoulder massage (while on your stomach) and a foot massage ( when on your back). I bought the six month unlimited Brazilian package from living social for $200 (which I think is a steal). I have tried sugaring before and love the results. However, I was paying $90 each time, not to mention the extra cost of getting anything else done. Needless to say, I was spending a fortune and looking for something new. I had my first visit at Sugaring Studio, Inc. this week and love the results. The waiting area is nicely decorated and the young woman at the front desk was very sweet. Went there on a groupon..as you walk in it is very comfortable and inviting.. went to the back..this is my first time getting a Brazilian...the sh*t hurt anyway you want to look at it...I laughed the entire time..so that I wouldn't cry..the lady informed me first time yes some discomfort but the more you get done the less pain..it's been a week now..I do feel pricks of hair comming back..not the baby soft feeling like the 1st 3days....there was no discomfort afterwards..I will continue the wax...but Maybe at a cheaper price without groupon it's $90. read more

I called to make an appointment, and I was greeted by a warm and friendly receptionist who was able to schedule me for the same day. Lydia, the esthetician, was thorough and as gentle as she could be in this situation. :-) She took her time and checked every inch of her work to make sure she got all of the hair she could. OMG!! I am so glad I read all the reviews (to include the low scoring ones). I am more than pleased with Lydia's services. I must preference this reviews by saying this is my first Brazilian Sugaring or any type of Brazilian. I have had Bikini sugaring at PR Partners and loved it, otherwise, I self-maintained. Lydia didn't speak much English but we were able to communicate when needed. She understood it was my first time and hell yes... it hurt, but only initially. She is VERY thorough and this service is NOT for the bashful because you will be spread into various positions so that she can get ALL the hairs. Like another reviewer, I found myself laughing to get through some of the pain. It surprised me as it happened spontaneously. The end result is smooth, soft skin. I LOVE it! THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Don't waste your money getting a Groupon or your time because there are better options out there to get a sugar wax. I would give my experience ZERO stars but I had to choose an option. I arrived 5 mins early but my appt started late, no biggie in my mind because it was only 10 mins. The esthetician (Lydia) had me follow her to the room where I would have my waxing done, well I didn't know she was going to stand there and watch while I undress (awkward). I told her I have sensitive skin and she said okay. Well that didn't stop her from laying down a huge strip of wax and RIPING it off with all her might!!!! Now, I'm not new to the wax business and I know it will hurt but it was so painful I had to make her stop so I could take a break (my natural child labor hurt less). I told her she was doing to much of an area at one time and it was too rough. She again said okay and starting doing smaller areas at warp speed!!!!! She was so out of control the wax flung out of her hand onto the window shade. I then realize she was rushing to get me in and out...last time I checked I was booked and paid for 30 mins and because she was running behind that wasn't my problem! I was relieved my appt was over and unsatisfied with the experience. In my mind she didn't care or listen to her customer so you must not want a tip, me to EVER return and refer your business....I proceed to the lobby to make my exit and the receptionist yells out, EXCUSE ME CAN I TALK TO YOU ABOUT SOME THINGS? Now she proceeded to keep the same volume as she talked to me (and everyone in the lobby could hear as well) how I have ingrown hairs and I need to use a sugar scrub once a week blah blah, blah....at this point I was pissed that she wasn't being discrete to tell me this and then I said to myself, you're not the esthetician, she should be talking to me in the room about this. I cut her off and said I have to go (it was that or I was about to tell her how unprofessional she was being). As I turned to walk away she yells, DID YOU LEAVE A TIP IN THE ROOM? I yelled back NO!
