If you're looking for a spray tan, go somewhere else. They keep the space freezing cold, the spray tan is freezing cold, and it's absolutely miserable getting naked in that environment. Also, they only offer parking out back, but won't allow you to enter the place from the back door; you can only enter from the front door and you can't get to the front door from the parking lot without walking around the whole block. After you've had a spray tan, and you're wearing next to nothing, you have to walk around the whole block to get back to your car. They have a back door that leads directly to the parking lot, they just won't let you use it. Ridiculous. There are plenty of other spray tan places that keep you nice and warm during the spray tan and have reasonable parking. read more

I booked for the same day nearly an hour and a half before the original time, and I was able to bump my appointment earlier, which worked well for me. I came in today for an arm sugaring appointment with a trainee. The sweetest girl in ALL the land was my sugarer (is that a word?). Her name was Adrianna and she was so professional, yet so personable. Talking to her was like talking to a new bestie - so down to earth and just good vibes. She was so thorough with my sugaring, asking if I needed more done to the upper parts of my arm and lower parts on my hand. I really appreciated it. You guys have a good one with her on your staff! They really care about their clients. I had an initial issue that was resolved quickly by the manager. Then, the second time I came the esthetician honestly told me I was not going to get the results I was looking for because I had shaved and my hair growth was at different stages. So instead of taking my money anyway knowing I wouldn't get the best results, she advised me to come back in a couple weeks. I appreciated the honesty! Then when I came back, I had a great experience with silky smooth results. And whatever after sugar treatment they use feels awesome! Definitely recommend! Kind, Seamless & Practically Painless I needed a last minutes wax before the beach. I booked an appointment online, went to the salon and walked out as smooth and hairless as a dolphin in 90minutes. The girls there are always so sweet, to the point that you kind of want to hang out as it feels like some sort of secret cool girls club. This was my third experience with S&B. Felt like a bother and "in trouble" for the person who did my Brazilian. She left so many hairs, pulled the sugar in a jab like fashion where it felt like multiple aggressive pokes, and made me feel so unsafe. I still gave her the 18% because I just wanted to get out of there ASAP and cry. Every time I would scream or try to make up conversation to distract me from the Brazilian pain she'd literally say "you wanted this. don't be a baby" or "are you sure you want a Brazilian"?? Like of course I am going to scream and flinch! She should not have made me feel so terrible. I asked her how long she'd been doing sugaring and she said 1 year... she was doing facials before. Going to stick with the Studio City location. The women there are actually kind and exponentially more experienced. read more

This was my first time sugaring. It's similar to waxing. Just as painful, but a different kind of pain. I'm mostly writing this review about the sugarista because I feel like every hair removal service is made better by the esthetician. I made an appointment for a Brazilian. This service was mediocre at best. She shamed me for not having done any hair removal for about 3 months. Here's the thing though, that is the only hair I grow on my body besides the hair on my head. Maybe it was a little more work for sugaring, but I know many women who grow the amount of hair I walked in with in less than a month. Plus regardless of your hair, it's completely unacceptable to be body shamed like that. I also told her when I get waxed I usually go every 6 weeks, and she insisted I need to get sugared every 4 weeks with no explanation as to why other than "you'll have too much hair and it will be harder to sugar", again with a tone of disdain. (It's been about a month since my appointment, and I have about 14 hairs down there, so please tell me why I need to come in every 4 weeks??) She was just not nice and seemed super annoyed that I was there. Horrible, horrible customer service. I felt like I was in the movie Mean Girls. Additionally, when she finished the service, she didn't cover me with a towel before opening the door. It felt like she didn't care about me as a human being AT ALL. On the plus side, the actual sugaring itself seems to work better than waxing. I'll try again and request a different sugarista since I got the 2 for 1 deal, but I really wasn't impressed with the service there and will need to find a different sugaring business if my 2nd appointment is bad. read more

Got my first professional spray tan done here, and I chose this place based on other reviews and how close it was to home. I chose "level 2" after the lady said it was the safest bet for my first time and it would look the least orange while still making it look like I'm tan. I asked if I should apply barrier cream/lotion to common dry areas, or my hands/feet. She said no to me, that it wasn't needed. However, after I was done, I overheard her saying to apply barrier cream to another girl. Pros: no streaks, and I look tan. The tan also looks great in pictures. Cons: under certain lighting, I look like an Oompa Loompa. Under the sun, it looks good. Also, there's no dimension? Not sure if that's the right word. But the inside of my arm is the same shade as the outside, which makes it look unnatural. Same thing with my hands. Because the same amount of tanner was applied to my hands and feet without the barrier cream, my hands and feet look unnaturally dark/orange. read more

I have to respond to customer service who responded to my original review done a couple of days ago no they did not both contact me right away. The regional manager did call 48 hours later which is better than nothing I guess. The right thing to do is call a customer back that day especially if the customer is upset. I will assume she (the general manager) is very busy putting out fires or has a ton of complaints she is dealing with. Just goes to show you this company is a mess. When customer service is busy defending the employees especially when I only received one call back and it wasn't even the Pasadena store manager. I had already posted a review so when the general manager called me I had nothing to say and she didn't either. She didn't even try to save a possible customer. read more
