I saw lots of must have freshly picked moccasins, a couple jujube's, and nice nursery furniture. The lady was polite, but was tied up with another customer. I love this store!! It's so much fun to find special unique outfits for holidays and photos here. They also have quite a few brands of good quality non toxic not made in china baby items for feeding and such. Also, you can find other high end parenting items and some maternity too. We usually love this store. Unfortunately after ordering my crib set, that was suppose to take 10 weeks to get, I didn't get it until almost 18 weeks after ordering. I repeatedly had to call every single day to try and get updates on when or where the set was which unfortunately each time they couldn't tell me when I would be receiving it. Oh how I love children's boutiques! And this one is no exception! It's a good size building filled with all your baby and children needs. The parking lot is small but there is some street parking. Inside you will find every high quality brand you have heard of and some you haven't. The prices are kinda pricey but for the quality of items it's what you would expect! The place is so well organized even my husband loves coming shopping here with me!! They have everything from nursery décor, cribs, clothes, stroller, car seats, feeding accessories, cloth diapers, maternity items and everything in between. You could spend a good chunk of time just looking at everything they have to offer. The staff and owner have always been super friendly and helpful!! Part of the reason I keep coming back they don't have that snobbish attitude I have noticed at other high end boutiques. I love that they have a children's play area so you can shop while your child is having fun in a safe area. It has a kitchen and train track to keep both boys and girls occupied. I love sugarbabies. I loved going there before they moved but I like it even more now in the new building. It's gorgeous. I get great ideas for decorating as well as clothing. It is definitely a more upscale store. Not a lot of consignment but good condition for what they do have. I just read what some other people wrote and I do not feel that way at all!!!!!!!! They always smile, always say hi. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, the new clothes are a bit out of my price range, but I still LOVE it!!!!! I wish I could afford it. I am registered here along with a few of the "usual" places -- hands down, Sugar Babies has superior customer service. In addition, I have compared prices item for item on my registry and Sugar Babies IS competive. The girls go above and beyond without fail every single time I am in the store. There is always someone capable of answering my (hundreds) of questions patiently and with knowledge, if I have a problem with the registery on my end -- they are accessible and attentive addressing my questions efficiently and always providing resolution, their return/exchange process is seamless and easy and -- above all -- without my asking, they help load/unload heavy items from my car. If I had to do it over again, I would only have registered here -- it's truly a well-managed local small business staffed with great employees. read more

This is a great baby shop IF you have a baby girl! I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the choice of baby boy clothes!! It was a ratio of about 3/4 girl's clothes to 1/4 boys clothes. People who have baby boys also want to dress them in cute clothes. If you aren't going to add more clothes for baby boys, maybe you should rename the shop "Sugar Babies, A Baby Girl Boutique"! read more

We really enjoyed visiting this store. They seem to have everything that we wanted - we even purchased our Chico car seat from them because we had been told that the owner was a certified installer and would install it for us. However, during the purchase, the clerk boxed up the floor model, and sold it to us at full price. It wasn't until after paying that we realized what had happened. When we confronted her about it, she said that it had only been on the floor for a few days and was good as new. Accepting that, but still a little upset about no discount, we asked for them to install it. The same clerk that had previously told us that they would install the car seat now said that they don't do that. Seriously?! Later that week, we installed it ourselves, and looked at the expiration date in the process. Much to our surprise, the car seat was MANUFACTURED IN 2012!!!! With the 6-year expiration on these seats, it was halfway through its "life". Since we planned to keep it for our next child, this was unacceptable. When we called to bring this to their attention and ask for an exchange, the person on the phone said that they do not do refunds. DO NOT purchase from this store. After our first visit we recommended them to all of our friends as the local alternative to Babies-R-Us or Amazon, but their customer service and return policy is unacceptable and we will not shop there again. read more

Went in to this store to shop for a diaper bag that would suit both myself and my husband. Ashley, the sales associate who helped us, listened to what we were looking for and brought us a ton of options from all over the store. She made the shopping experience so enjoyable as she took a lot of time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. With this being my first baby, I had a lot of questions and she answered everything and made me feel like I was making an informed decision. Not to mention that everything in the store is so cute and nicely displayed. I would recommend this place to others and I can't wait for my future visits! read more

The consignment section did shrink which was a shame. The new store is very cute and has lots of really fun items, It does seem that it is very easy to spend alot there now though compared to when they had the smaller location. My order arrived quickly in the mail, but when I opened the package, noticed that the shoes were in a size different from the ones I had ordered. Buyer beware! I have visited this store on several occasions and after the first few visits, I would have given it 4 starts. The items are high end and on the pricy side, but the quality shows and they have several specialty items that you can't find in most baby stores and boutiques, which I love. I really wanted to continue to love this store. It's adorable and I always am a fan of supporting local businesses first if possible. That said, their return policy is horrible. You only have 14 days to return an item and you can only exchange or receive store credit. This is not advertised...there is no sign at the cash register that I noticed (if there is, it is strategically placed) and they certainly don't tell you that. About 10 days ago, I took my mom to this store while she was visiting from North Carolina and we both spent a decent amount of money on several adorable and neat items. One of my purchases were 2 sippy cups that say they are "leakproof" on the outside. I mentioned to the girl that helped us that day that I really needed true leakproof sippy cups for my 3 and 1 year olds and stated that I would just go ahead and buy 2 for them and return one or both if they didn't work for us and weren't used. I was going back and forth between buying 1 to try or buying 2 and returning one if they didn't work. I went home, filled one of them (the one that already was an open package) with water, turned it upside down and the water just poured out. Apparently, they were only leakproof if the straw cover was closed (like a toddler will always close it,lol). Because of this, I went to return them (the other one was never opened and neither one was ever in a child's mouth). However, i was told that my only option was to exchange or store credit. i don't necessarily have a problem with the policy, i just think that it should be clearly stated and communicated when you make a purchase (like at Motherhood, they always tell you that when you check out). It was the fact that even though i was honest, they knowingly kept that fact to themselves. When I went back, I was also intending to look at 2 more carseats (likely their Diono) for our second car. They have now lost the business of this mama and the sale of 2 car seats over $700 in total (or more, as the Foonf was also in the running for us). read more

Sugarbabies is overrated and overpriced. Yes, they have cute things but you can find them on amazon. I would love to support local businesses but the customer service isn't great so why bother? They do not give a boutique level service, items are shoved in a plastic bag, not wrapped in paper. They do not have boxes. Gift bags are $2. And the "return" policy is only store credit/exchanges within 15 days. I asked the sales person if I could return if I needed to and she said yes. It was my fault to assume what return meant, but she could have been more honest. I spent $50 on a onesie and trumpette socks, I guess I just expect a certain level of service for the prices they charge. read more

Came here just to look around with nothing in mind while I was pregnant. Mostly everything was way over priced ! Don't get me wrong , it's adorable if you are rich. But I definitely don't have $90 to spend on a package of socks that look like little shoes. It was so pricey I was unable to buy anything. Even there headbands I looked at were $30+ . very disappointing I wish they were more affordable, the average household can not spend that much money on something that they outgrow within a month or two. My wife had used two separate cards to makes purchases with them regularly. Shortly after their hardware was stolen, both of my credit card accounts were compromised and maxed. What can I say about Sugarbabies? I liked the old location, but I LOVE the new location. This store has AMAZING nursery decor, furniture, clothing and accessories. Beautiful store. The staff and owner has always been so helpful. My kids are now older, and they are no longer able to wear "Sugarbaby" sizes, but I still go in to buy hair accessories. Two months ago, I walked into Sugarbabies, not to shop, but to ask the owner if she would be willing to donate to my kids' carnival raffle. Without hesitation, she quickly said "absolutely, I would love to". She put together a beautiful donated item, and on top of that she donated an extremely generous gift certificate. She cares about the community and about others. She is a class act and so is the store. Sugarbabies is the jewel of Sumner and so is the owner. If you have never visited Sugarbabies, you are missing out. This store is truly a destination that you must visit. read more

I had been searching for a crib and dresser and found that SugarBabies was the only store in Washington that stocked the brand Franklin and Ben. I called and talked to someone and they were super friendly, also telling me about a BrixyHaven nursery set that was on sale for a little less than 50% off. Since I wanted to see all of the cribs in person, I went down to Sumner from Seattle to check out their furniture. Again, the person I had talked to over the phone was there and she was very friendly and ended up selling me the BrixyHaven crib (which at the time she told me included the toddler rails), the full bed conversion kit, the dresser and the changing table attachment. When I was done with my purchases, we talked through delivery and I had said it wouldn't be possible for me to come and pick up the furniture because it's just my husband and I and I didn't feel comfortable lifting the furniture up the stairs (I'm 6 months pregnant). So, we ended up paying $350 for delivery so that they could come and deliver the furniture into our home. As I was leaving, the woman told me she would call me the next day to give me a delivery date and that it would take two weeks for them to deliver the furniture - fine. For the next few days I didn't receive a call from her, and I ended up having to call and inquire about the delivery date. I talked to someone else on the phone who had said this woman helping me was helping someone else and that she would call me back in a few minutes. She didn't call me back for about 5 hours. When she called she only had one date available, which I wasn't going to be home for, she said she would call me back with another date. A few days later I hadn't heard back so I inquired again, and without going through all of our back and forth I ended up complaining to her about how it felt as though I was having to follow up with her on every update, even though she made it seem like it was no problem to deliver this furniture to me. She just responded that they don't really do deliveries this quickly and the delivery time was out of her control because they were dealing with another company for the delivery time. I guess at that point I was just wondering why they would even commit to doing this for me in the time promised. Delivery day comes around and I get a call from Ashley, who I can only assume is the store owner about my delivery (so, not a third party delivery company), letting me know she had arrived (with her kids and husband) to deliver my furniture. I'm assuming that the furniture was too heavy, so they took everything apart outside and had their kids help bring it up. When I went through everything after they left, I saw that I didn't have the toddler conversion kit. When I looked it up online, every other vendor shows that you have to buy them separately. I'm not going to even inquire with them at this point, even though the woman who sold me the crib said that the toddler rails would be included. It's not worth the hassle, and I frankly can't deal with another delivery with them. I would say that SugarBabies has a good selection, which is different than most stores in the area, and they can be extremely friendly. But if you need to have your furniture delivered, I would not recommend purchasing from this store. While they may have their heart in the right place, the delivery charges are extremely expensive, and it doesn't seem like they are organized or set up to actually handle deliveries like another furniture store. read more
