Best donuts in the west valley! Fluffy, perfectly dipped, covered in glaze... Nothing I hate more than a dry donut that leaves a greasy aftertaste. Context: Dad and two kiddos looking for a tasty donut and coffee before heading to the playground on a weekend morning. Service staff worked quickly and kindly despite long line, must be popular! We got blueberry, vanilla with sprinkles and chocolate with sprinkles. All 3 donuts demolished within minutes. My Americano hit the spot as well. Not the biggest spread but they had all the classics. First of all, I want to give a huge thank you to Jules for making these gender reveal cupcakes for my family. I'm allergic to dairy and she was amazing enough to make these delicious cupcakes with a dairy free milk so I didn't get a tummyache. We got one dozen cupcakes, and she was able to decorate and fill them with the color of our babies gender. These cupcakes along with being beautiful were super tasty. They were moist and fluffy. I met a friend here and it was OK! Coffee was pretty good. I just had a black coffee and added my own things I like in there. My friend said she visits this place frequently. They have a lot of different options other than just coffee and pastries. You can get breakfast sandwiches and I believe there was some donuts and croissants or something like that in there. It definitely was a place where older people get together and chitchat, order their drinks and or food. It's not a big place, but roomy enough to grab a seat and hang out if you didn't want to walk in and just go. We were the youngest in there talking and the only people of color I saw come in within a span of 3 1/2 hours. I'd probably go back if I was on that side of town. I like trying new places. Bought a " cherry turnover", and "chocolate donut twist", both were awful! I've become slightly addicted to Vietnamese coffee. Now that I've moved to the Goodyear area finding a good coffee shop that made this coffee became my top priority. In comes Sugar and Spice to save the day!!!! The coffee shop is located in a small shop surrounded by other venues like medical centers and salons. Parking depending on when you arrive can be a bit hectic so mentally prepare yourself to drive around the loop for a minute to grab a parking spot as the complex gets busy at times. Don't worry though when you enter the coffee house and are greeted by employee smiles and see the doughnuts perfectly arranged for your viewing pleasure none of that matters. This morning my daughter and I figured we would let mom sleep and surprise her with some donuts. In steps Sugar N Spice. Tucked away in a parking lot near the high school and pretty hidden you'll find some delicious donuts. The display is beautiful with donuts if all shapes and colors!! A dozen was around $11 but I just went with 4 and a croissant. I had the ham, cheese, jalapeño croissant and it was very good! Flaky croissant outside plenty of meat and cheese inside and just a little kick from the jalapeños. I got a maple bar, Apple fritter, raspberry filled, and an Oreo donut. The donuts are light and the glaze is sweet but not overpowering. They have a lot of specialty donuts and definitely worth looking into. I also had an Americano which was flavored perfectly and my wife had a Vietnamese coffee that was a little sweet, but right up her alley. Great hidden donut spot!! read more

The last time we went the raised glazed and chocolate covered were both doughy. My wife complained and returned her chocolate covered and asked for a peach turnover. They charged her for the difference in cost. No apologies. The turnover was good. Also, the place smelled like a sewer. We complained. No apologies. I stopped by a little after 11am. The shop is very cute inside and it wasn't too busy. They have a variety of items, from bagels, donuts to sandwiches. We both enjoyed out smoothies for about five bucks each and once the jalapeno bagel made it past the toaster protocol, it was an above average bagel and cream cheese. Hopeful for beignets, but struck out! I ended up with a warm croissant stuffed with turkey and Swiss. The croissant was fluffy, nice and chewy. I washed it down with Thai tea Boba with soy milk. It was delicious! The coffee shop occupies two units. The second unit is spacious and a great place for small groups to gather and chat without feeling like you are being rushed. There were people sitting by themselves, reading a book as well. I was charmed! The servers behind the counter were friendly and hospitable! The owners are amazing people! A month or so ago I was looking for scones for my wife , which they do not normally have on hand. But the owner and his wife asked what flavor my wife liked and he then made them for me a few days later. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the scones he made and now have customers for life! Our order was for a leisurely Saturday breakfast at home. The order consisted of three sandwiches (breakfast and lunch varieties), a breakfast burrito, a sampling of baked goods, and a Thai boba tea. When trying new restaurants, we sample much of the menu to gain an objective perspective. Everything, yes everything, was magnificent. It's so nice to walk into a place and get eyes rolled at you because you want to order sandwiches! This is the second time the cashier/order taker was less than thrilled to be taking our order. This time the young man making the sandwiches gave a piece of paper to the cashier face side down and when she read it she gave me a smirk. Not cool at all. If you're going to get pissy about serving items on the menu don't offer them or better yet get more service minded help! Oh and both times sandwiches were made incorrectly. read more
