Prior…read moreto our wedding date we setup appointments with several of the local bakers, in order to "sample" the cakes. After much deliberation and debate, we decided on Beth at the Sugarmaker Bakery for far too many reasons. Bottom line, Beth showed up personally on our wedding day to assemble the cake (three tier, elevating layers..... think floating stairs, best way I can describe it). Prior to showing up we were shown examples of previous work by the Sugarmaker Bakery, and it rivaled the cakes on TLC "Ace of Cakes". Why Julie N. had "pleasant" things to say about her purchase, I see no reason why she felt the need to drop a three star rating on Beth. She does stellar work, and I would recommend her over half the bakers in the North Conway area!!
