My first sugar waxing experience was two weeks ago with Sarah from Sugar Bee. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience- Sarah was amazing and my results after just one wax session will definitely keep me coming back to her. Since my sugar wax, I have noted that my underarm hairs have not grown back as fast as it normally would compared to my experience with hard/soft wax which is shocking considering how quickly my hairs grow back when I have gone elsewhere. Sarah took the time to educate me about sugar waxing and the after care, she is very knowledgeable about her field. When it was time for me to get up from the table after the wax, I didn't want to because I was so relaxed...LOL. I left the appointment feeling very satisfied so I booked my next appointment that same day. I found Sugar Bee through Yelp, so I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for a new waxing place. Claudia is amazing and sugaring has changed my life, but I can never return to this place. The scheduling system and the customer service of the front desk is the reason why I gave this establishment 1 star. I have had two appointments here and they were both rescheduled. The first one was rescheduled 4 times and I was not called or text the new time. Luckily, for me I checked my email because if you miss an appointment they will charge you 50% of your service. The second appointment was also rescheduled without notification, then when I tried to reschedule I was told it would be a same day cancellation. I went begrudgingly only to find out that because THEY rescheduled my appointment I know have to pay more? The literal worst. I wanted to like this place since my cousin had recommended it to me. I got my first service in June and I booked with Krystalin cause my cousin told me to request her. She was really good, really nice and I was very happy with her and the service she provided. I wanted to book her again for maintenence in July before my vacation but she wasnt available the day i requested. I had read reviews on here and there were recommendations for Sugared Peach so i decided to try it out since i needed to get serviced before my vacation. I was very happy with EMILY AT SUGARED PEACH, she even charged me the maintenance fee instead of the whole service fee even though i didnt get waxed with her the prior month. She uses all the same products Sugar Bee does too. August comes and I came back to Sugar Bee cause I wanted to stay with who my cousin had first recommended me to. I booked my appointment and requested Krystalin and when i get there, it's not Krystalin, its another girl. I don't feel comfortable at all. I had read reviews that they are constantly hiring new girls and most dont know what they are doing, making it painful and uncomfortable for the customer. I didn't want to risk experiencing this. I know everyone has to get the experience to be able to learn and they will be hiring new staff all the time but Krystalin had already performed my service and i wanted to go back to HER. I didn't want a new person. So another girl comes in and apoligizes and states Krystalin just cancelled all her appointments for the day like 5 mins ago and asks if I just want to reschedule. Im like sure I GUESS. She says well we are charging you 50% for canceling and you will be charged the full service fee again when you come back in. I'm like WHAT? WHY? And she says cause your canceling after the 24 hour mark. I'm like well I wouldn't be canceling if Krystalin didn't cancel on ME so why am I being charged? How am i at fault here? Im on time, Im here. Shes not. She states I signed the form before my service and it states you arent guranteed the person you request. This is news to me. I didnt read the form thoroughly, MY FAULT. Its a medical form and I just assumed it was a form to cover their butt's from getting sued. But just for future reference, read that paper they have you initial prior to your service. YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED THE PERSON YOU REQUEST which is dumb to me honestly. Then why even be able to request at all. And wanting to charge me for being canceled on and not wanting to get the service done by a new person? Obviously THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS OR BUILDING CLIENTELE. The PROFESSIONAL thing to do was to call the customer and let them know they won't be able to get the person they requested and ask if it's okay if they get someone else or would rather reschedule. I didn't get notified at all, but again they mentioned that form I signed in the beginning which states I'm not guaranteed my requested person. I've never EVER had anything like this happen to me. I get my pedicures done at the same salon for the past 6 years and ask for my specific person to do my service and BECAUSE I REQUEST HER, it's going to be her doing my service. Also with my hair. I been going to the same spot for the past 4 years and the one person who does my hair has ALWAYS done it because I book my appointments with her and only her and if she ever had to cancel, she would call and apologize and reschedule me. Not throw me to a random hair stylist to do my hair. This was upsetting. Like I said, I wanted to like this place. They have lost a customer who could have easily become a loyal customer because when I like a service, I will continue to come back. But wanting to charge me for not feeling comfortable with a new person when i initially requested a certain person for a reason and not getting notified about it is ridiculous. EMILY from Sugared Peach will have a returning LOYAL customer which is me. Very detailed in explaining the process and constantly in checking in to see how I was doing, pain level, and making sure I was comfortable. She was also very knowledgeable on products and gave amazing advice on how to treat ingrown hairs. Online booking was easy as well. I've been getting serviced here for a year and a half and the experiences have gotten worse over time. I was asked to reschedule multiple times. The owner never showed up for two of my appointments. I had to switch sugarists because the owner didn't service 5+ weeks clients. I only became a 5+ week client because SHE didn't show for my appointments even after I rescheduled to accommodate to her schedule not mine. I switched to other sugarists who, by the way, were so amazing. All of them were fired and, of course, my appointments were then given to the owner WITHOUT notice. The way this business is ran is terrible and very inconvenient. If it weren't for Sanvy in the front always being super kind and welcoming, I'd give this place zero stars. read more

I came in for a Brazilian, this was only my 5th time getting a Brazilian I've never had any kind of waxing done before and I come back here every time. As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted with a smile and a good attitude. The place is always super clean, organized and well decorated. I usually see Karen for my Brazilian but my service provider got switched last minute so Amber took care of me today. I was a little nervous since I'm comfortable with Karen but Amber made me feel very comfortable from the start, she was very thorough, went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the service. Everytime I come it's always great vibes, positive attitudes and smiles from the front desk and the waxers. You cannot go wrong with Karen or Amber they are both awesome. I was coming here consistently every 4 weeks for my Brazilian and my appointment was supposed to be today at 1:30pm. I had started my period unexpectedly this morning and called to RESCHEDULE. NOT cancel. And they charged me a cancellation fee. I am aware of the 24hour notice policy. However, in my opinion, as a former professional in the industry myself, this should be an exception. I wanted to simply reschedule for next Friday so that I would be off my cycle for the appointment, but was told I would STILL be charged 50% of the service fee. I have been going to EWC for over 7 years, and after constant staffing change and not a constant waxer I thought I would take my friend's advice and switch over to Sugar Bee.... Let me tell you. My first service was today and it was magnificent! You would think that after 7 years of Brazilian Waxing you'd just have the same experience and expectations BUT Sugar Bee has Astonished me and Exceeded my expectations. London was the most professional waxer. She was sweet and careful and walked you through everything. But she was also mindful, she understands that everyone is different so she ensures your comfort. The staff was friendly and sweet, and always helpful with questions when needed. Now for the wax, will you believe if I said after 7 years of waxing THIS WAS EVEN MORE PAINLESS?!?!?! No SERIOUSLY!!! I know their policy is if you cancel you'll be charged 50% but honestly I feel like you'd keep more loyal customers if you were considerate the way we are for you guys when you guys are late or move our appointments day of. Today I was on my way an hour earlier than my appointment and got a flat , I'm waiting for Triple A because I'm pregnant and can't change it myself, if I wasn't then I would have done it myself and been on my way! And then in the end I would be paying $200 for one facial service? I have been coming here for over a year for my Brazilian, and have gotten other services (back, chest, armpits), I wanted to start coming for facials but I guess I'll be finding somewhere closer to home.
