I normally don't leave reviews, but after seeing the owner publicly reference my recent appointment in response to my friend's review, I felt compelled to share my own experience. First, I want to say that the therapist herself does great work and has always been kind, positive, and welcoming. My issue is specifically with the ownership and the way clients are handled when simple booking mistakes occur. I recently booked a same-day appointment online from my phone and accidentally selected a later time and maintenance time selection than I intended. Once I receiving the confirmation, I called because the earlier time I wanted was still available online. Instead of helping correct the mistake and adjusting the service type, I was sternly told I selected the wrong service from a suggested past booking prompt from the website and was denied the time change request. I understand clients are responsible for correct bookings, but online scheduling mistakes happen, especially on mobile devices. What bothered me most was the tone and handling of the situation. Rather than approaching it with understanding or flexibility, the interaction felt rigid and punitive. My ability to book online was revoked over what was clearly an honest mistake, addressed before the time of appointment. Even if it happened once before in my past booking history, it was addressed on the phone right away and was hours before the appt time. When I arrived early for the appointment, the business was actually closed at the time I had originally tried to switch into, and opened right at my appt time, which made the refusal even more frustrating. I especially found it very unprofessional for the owner to leverage my recent appointment in a public response to my friend's review from 5 months prior in order to invalidate her experience. At the time of her review, I did cancel my standing appointment, and 5mo later I gave it another try reluctantly. My friend's experience was real, and unfortunately after my own recent interaction, I understand exactly why she felt the way she did. There is a difference between maintaining policies and making clients feel punished for honest mistakes. Boundaries and customer service can coexist. Unfortunately, the overall experience with ownership made me feel more like a problem than a paying client. read more

Let me start by saying I waited at least 48 hours to post this as I didn't want to straight bad mouth a local small business but it's still bothering me so here it goes. I made an appt for my 13.5 year old daughter to get her eyebrows waxed and I was under the impression that if I was with her, it would be fine. I mean, it's eyebrow waxing, am I right? We were so excited to try this place for the first time and get her eyebrows done before school started! I completed all the forms ahead of time and paid my deposit of $22.50. As I'm checking in with the receptionist, the owner comes out, asks my daughter her name and asks me "And she is 14 right?" I was a bit confused but told her she was 13.5. She then said "oh we can't provide services to those under 14 due to liability reasons" Ummmmm ok? I was so disappointed but accepted it and left. Well I remembered I paid a deposit as I got into my car so I head back and ask, "So I paid a deposit, am I able to get that refunded?" The owner immediately says no, sorry, you booked that time slot on my time and took it from a possible potential client (basically saying she lost business on my account). At this point I was singing "Holy Spirit, activate!" in my head. I calmly said, well is it possible to make a one time exception? She came back with, unfortunately not, you signed in several places on the intake forms where it's stated they have to be 14 years of age. Mind you, I am a FIRST TIME CLIENT. Where is the empathy and compassion? Good grief, she couldn't care less, it was like talking to a robot. It's not about the $22 but the lack of customer service is astounding. Finally, as I came on Yelp to look at their reviews, I came across her response to another client and it was posted 11 days ago (took the screenshot 2 days ago). Hmmm, very interesting. Under 14 with an adult is ok if receiving services, or no? Which is it??? Maybe this is a new policy in the last 9 days Don't bother responding with your automated response about liability and intake forms, take accountability for your mistake and do better. i want to start off by saying I wish I could give ZERO stars, that's how terrible this business is. I only came to this establishment one time and I had a good experience. Where it all went wrong was with the receptionist and eventually Krystalin the owner. The lack of customer service really put me off. About two months ago on a Friday I called in to schedule an appointment and asked the receptionist to book me for 5pm that same day. Before we were about to hang up I asked her questions in regards to their cancellation policy. I wasn't 100% sure I'd be able to make it later that evening so I asked if I could call them a couple hours before the appointment to cancel Incase I wasn't able to make it given that since I made the appointment that same day the 24 hour notice would be impossible to do. The receptionist said that I would still be held to the cancellation policy (this is criminal to be honest) so I told the receptionist you know what NeverMind don't book me for the appointment because I am not positive I'll be able to make it. I called back 5 min later asking about their schedule for Saturday but the times available didn't work either so I just told her I'd book my appointment on their website. Two days later my husband is going through our credit card transactions and asks me why we got charged $85 dollars for a service I never received!! I have no issue being charged a fee when I am in the wrong. I have actually been charged their cancellation fee before and I was in the wrong and I was okay with that. But I will not allow to be taken advantage of the way they tried to with me. Anyways I figured it was something I could resolve right? WRONG! I called that following week on Tuesday but the phone kept ringing and ringing so I left a voicemail. A gentleman called me that same day in the evening I don't remember exactly but he said they had been in a training all day and couldn't get to the phone. I explained to him what happened, he said he'd have someone reach out to me. The following day Wednesday nobody had reached out yet so I decide to call them Thursday. When I call it happened to be the receptionist who I had spoken to, I explained what happened and right off the bat was so rude and defensive. I explained to her that it was a misunderstanding on her end and backed it up by reminding her that I had asked about the cancellation policy because I new I might not be able to make the appointment. Why would I agree to continue with an appointment after she told me I would still be billed, makes no sense. She offered no solution for me and said I was in the wrong and she was right. I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere with her so I asked if I could speaking to the owner, she said the owner was busy so I asked if she could have the owner give me a call. I called back the next day to speak to the owner and realized they blocked my number and they deactivated my online account. I tried reaching out through instagram, I DM'd them and never heard back. I just want people to know how this establishment treats their customers. I am disgusted with how they operate their business. It's been two months and I have yet to hear back. I've worked in customer service for 15 years, never have I treated a customer they way they have treated me. I wish I would have taken the negative reviews on here more serious because other people have had similar experiences like mine where they have been blocked when trying to get an issue resolved. To the owner, if you reply to this review and say you've tried reaching out, just know everyone that she is a liar. But I would like for you to explain why you block people and deactivate accounts? Edit - Regarding Krystalin's response to my original post. You are a liar, not once did I become disrespectful to your receptionist. I never raised my voice or used profanities. That is why I just agreed to disagree with her and asked if I could speak to you directly. Customers wanting to get their issues resolved should not equate to being rude or disrespectful and having to be blocked to protect your staff. This is just a terrible business tactic you use to take advantage of your customers. Take accountability and do right by your customers. Blocking people when they are trying to get an issue resolved is so unprofessional. read more

I tried sugaring 3 years ago and I actually decided to switch to sugaring instead of regular waxing because of this establishment. I used to genuinely enjoy coming here but the customer service has gone downhill especially since they moved to a smaller suite. Ive only continued to come here because it's the closest establishment that offers sugaring but I guess after today I no longer any an option but to go elsewhere since they have deactivated my account. This business was recommended to my sisters by a friend which they then recommended to me. Both sisters stopped coming here when their esthetician left the business and followed her because they didn't like the owner and thought she was rude and lacked customer service. I hadn't experienced any of that so I stayed and continued to get my services done there. The owner- Krystalin does have a unique personality but I wouldn't say she is rude. And with any business it's understandable to set policy's and boundaries especially small businesses- 100% on board with that. But this is where the customer service is suppose to take place and stand out. This morning round 7:26am I was looking to schedule a service for Wed 7/30 and before I was going to check out I wanted to go back to see if there were any time slots for "add on" services which at that point I must have selected an additional day for the same service. So when I went to finalize my initial appt I didn't realize I had two appointments selected for the same service until I got the confirmation text message about filling out the required forms. I looked online to see when the business opened so I can call in to explain what happened. I called 15mins after they opened to give them enough time to settle in because I also didn't want to be one of those customers calling the second they unlock their doors. I want to preface this by saying the individual who answered the phone was nice and respectful. I do not recall his name, he was very soft spoken but I think it was one of Krystalin's son's who usually helps out up front. I explained the situation to him and let him know that I technically scheduled the same service twice without knowing and that I needed to cancel the one today because I didn't mean to do that and I was out of town. He brought up the policy about same day cancellation and that I can go forward with cancelling but that I will be charged. He asked which appointment I would like to keep and I let him know I would like to move forward to with canceling both appts and he said okay and I ended the call. I confirmed that I got the cancellation emails and shortly after I also noticed that I can no longer make appts online on their website either. read more

I had no idea what to expect when I came to get sugared for the first time, but my experience ended up being so enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, the first time hurts like heck, however that said, I still enjoyed the experience thanks to the bedside manner and social skills of the technicians.
