Blueberry iced tea and blueberry pomegranate smoothie
Hannah M.

This bakery seemed like a fun pit stop on our way to Acadia National Park, but it didn't live up the the reviews IMHO. The service was slow and the two employees at the counter were pretty rude. When I asked about some allergy information, they suggested I just don't order anything because they don't keep track, even though the things I was looking to order weren't supposed to have anything scary in them. When we finally settled on drinks, I was pretty shocked. They charge premium prices for drinks here ($5-$7) but use cheap ingredients. Their smoothies don't use real fruit, and the "blueberry" iced tea is just regular iced tea with blueberry syrup - it's not even homemade. I saw the employee pump a crazy amount of what seemed to be the cheap coffee stuff into a cup. For a state that produces 99% of the blueberries in the country, you'd think local places like this would take advantage of that. Or at least charge the same amount restaurants do for artificially flavored drinks ($1-$3).

Chocolate croissant and blueberry pomegranate smoothie

3.5 stars Was okay... it was close to the inn we were staying at. Their hours were good and they had a selection of blueberry pie, pastries, muffins, whoopies, and cupcakes (should've gotten the pumpkin one). I got the chocolate croissant (similar to Starbuck's, but it wasn't warmed up like they do it) and a blueberry pomegranate smoothie. My dad got the big elephant ear pastry and a coffee (which he said was a little bitter). Our total came out to about $15. The guy working at the time was friendly and made a few jokes with us. There wasn't any seating inside which was unfortunate, since the picnic tables were uncovered and soaked from the early morning rain, so we had to our stuff back to our room. 2021 #84

A simple yet lovely bakery across our cottage inn. The lady who helped us was very nice or generally people in Maine is nice. Lots of choices shown on the shelf and of course got to try the blueberry pie. It was delicious. We got a cold coffee and perfect taste to my husband liking. Stop by and grab something for a sugar fix before heading to Acadia or Bar Harbor, worth the try.

Spinach feta croissant

This was a solidly fine bakery. Not sure why it's getting bad reviews. The coffee was made from local beans - 3 different choices. Travel companion had an espresso and blueberry cream cheese croissant. My feta spinach croissant was a standout...not stuffed with filling but tasty fluffy and buttery flaky. Cash only, atm on site. Cleanest port a potty according my companion

stuffed croissants and jars of fresh cookies!

FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FAAAANTASTIC! little bakery in Bar Harbor!…read more While I was on holiday in Maine I stopped in wherever to get my usual...I plain bagel, with butter..and a bottle of orange juice. Some places were good, some...not so much. I mean, how can a plain bagel with butter...be bad? Well, very easily lol. Went to a place in New Hampshire and it was the worst bagel I had ever had. So when I was in Bar Harbor, I had gone to a few places every morning and none of them were as great as this place. It's super close to downtown and all the tourist shops. So I just figured....expensive. Not at all. The bagel was fantastic! they toasted it just right and didn't drown it in butter like so many other places had on that trip. AND! the bagel was just so damn tasty. I like me some bagels lol The staff was so friendly. Just a happy place. The restaurant/bakery itself is so homey. It's very small...so if you wanna get there in the morning like so many do...go as early as you can if you wanna sit down. It's very comfortable in there. It's like a cute little cottage and you just kind of expect to see your adorable little grandma come out with the most amazing breakfast ever with her acting all sweet and grandma-like lol. I only wish I had discovered this place the first day we had gotten there. I would have been a regular for sure. What a pleasant little spot. Seriously, I just loved it and highly recommend anyone and everyone go here for their breakfast. They also have lots of like cookies and shit. I was so proud of myself...I held back and didn't get any even though I could have easily bought one of everything lol. So if you are in the Bar Harbor area and want a nice little spot to go for breakfast...and you see this review...go here! You will love it! If you hate it...you know where to find me....on Yelp lol. I guarantee you will love it tho. If you don't...Ill buy you a cookie to make you happy because obviously you're miserable if you find something wrong with this adorable little bakery :) Thanks so much for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

The blueberry cake is moist and full of berries. The chocolate brownies are moist and very rich. The muffins are tender and full of blueberries. We tried the banana chocolate chip bread which was fantastic. full of chocolate chips. My husband is a fan of the chocolate chip cookies. I ordered a blueberry pie for a family dinner, and everyone agreed that it was one of the best pies on the island. The filling is packed with blueberries, and the crust is tender. I like the little bit of cinnamon in the filling. She has other pie options as well. We saw, but did not try , a raspberry pie. Everything is well made, clean and well displayed. There are whoopi pies, banana bread, cookies and specials. Don't hesitate to stop by. Easy parking, which is a plus in the busy summer. Bring cash, pay on the honor system. Emmy takes great care in her creations and you will not be disappointed!
