Five Stars -- This Place Saved the Trip…read more Let me set the scene. We were heading to Callaway Gardens to pick up some Venice jewelry (I'll talk about that later), when I discovered that the Oyster House -- the seafood spot I was counting on -- was permanently closed according to Yelp. I was devastated. Like... fully prepared to cancel Pine Mountain altogether. I was having a whole moment. Then I did a little digging and found out that Eddie Mae's Kountry Kitchen & Oyster Bar had the same owner. I found this out before we arrived, and I knew immediately -- we HAD to stop there. And let me tell you... January 3, 2026 -- this is all I needed in my life. This is GOOD seafood. Like, really good seafood. Freshly cooked. Hot. Flavorful. Done right. The service? AMAZING. The people? Warm, genuine, country hospitality at its finest. The vibe? Real, welcoming, and comfortable -- no nonsense, just good food and good people. Food. Service. Atmosphere. People. Clean restaurant. Clean restrooms. Five stars across the board. I'll be honest -- I will never come to Pine Mountain again unless I know Eddie Mae's is open. I need y'all to hang in there with me because otherwise I can't even travel outside of Atlanta for real. If you want legit seafood, incredible service, and that authentic country goodness -- this is the place.

Wrangling twenty hungry folks is no small feat, but our waitress handled us like a maestro conducting a seafood symphony. Not one single mess up. Not one forgotten order. Just pure joy, laughter, and the kind of energy that makes you swear her heart runs on sweet tea and Sunday kindness. She didn't just serve us, she took care of us. Her laughter kept us laughing, her smile kept us smiling, and her love for what she does poured out like sweet tea on a hot day. The world needs more people like her, because she reminded us that service can be more than just food, it can be a refreshing, soul filling experience. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Not only did we have seafood, but some of us went for the buffet, the kiddos got their grilled cheese, and the burgers were downright delicious. Plates of goodness that made us forget all about yesterday's turkey coma. To top it off, they had my favorite wine (hallelujah!) and beers for everyone else, which meant the whole table was happy. Eddie Mae's gave us more than lunch, it gave us a memory. A funny, touching, belly filling memory that we'll be talking about for years. Five stars, no hesitation.

There's also the option to buy the beans for home brewing, and I love that there's little bag options for sampling too. Aside from their drinks, everything that I've seen from the kitchen comes looking Instagram ready. The Wickles Chicken Biscuit was everything I wanted it to be and more. Anywhere that serves Wickles is automatically in my good graces. I wish I lived closer, because all of the food they post on Facebook makes me want to dash down there. The only downside is that the tables can get a little cramped. That comes with the bodega, I get that. No fault to them, just a heads up if you're coming with a big group.

Although they were having some work done on the place they were still open for business. The young lady that waited on me was very friendly and very informative about their coffee house menu...made it much easier for my selection. While I don't live in the area I could see making this a regular coffee stop did I. PS: even have their own line of whole bean coffee.

Not to mention, they had a ton of shaded outdoor seating. - Coffee: The coffee tasted great and was really smooth. I love that they had a ton of different drink options as well. One of my favorite were the paninis. They also had man a dessert and little treat options. Cheesecake was perfection. - Prices: Very on par to other local shops, and not mad at all. - Staff: The staff were friendly and great. - Merch: The merch had some good options including mugs, shirts, home roasted beans, and more. Overall I give this shop a 5/5 's. I love visiting, and can't wait to go back. They are more than just a simple coffee shop or cafe, but a full rounded restaurant for all times of days and meals. Give them a look.

I'm a people watcher; happy to see prayers before meals and children smiling - everyone seemed happy with their meal choices. Just a quaint little place with a simple menu that keeps a small simple town, small and simple! We both had a wrap, freshly made, warm, tasty and very filling. Kudos to the cashier for the menu suggestion, it didn't disappoint. Prices were great too!
