Our whole family has been going to Dr. Sue Vetter for about 14 years and there's no doubt she's the best dentist I've ever had - and, ugh, I've had a lot of them in my lifetime. Adding to her vast knowledge and skills, her dedicated attention to detail, and her gentle manner, she's also a beautiful person who truly cares about her patients and helps design long-term plans (especially with replacing many old, old, very old, amalgam mercury fillings), and shares her research and insights on total well-being, always making me feel like the whole me is being taken care of with each visit. I've learned from Dr. Vetter and her fastidious hygienist, Lorraine, how to be much more pro-active in my own dental care, and I appreciate the time they all take with us with each visit. We recently got a boost in our dental insurance with a secondary plan, and while it was a bit complicated to get the claims submitted just right to both our primary and secondary insurance plans, once we got it figured out with Jessie's perseverance, we're seeing a huge reduction in our dental bills, which means we can finally afford to have all of our much-needed work done! We're very grateful for the time and effort Jessie and Dr. Vetter have put into making sure the insurance situation runs smoothly. Her staff seems truly happy to be part of the team and the front desk reception has always been lovely. Plus, the coffee-table books in the waiting room are always inspiring (I've written down titles and purchased several of the books after-the-fact), the free little lip balm sticks to-go are helpful, the music is great, and the view of Lake Union from the dental chair is pretty nice, too! If I had to list just one complaint, it would be the limited office hours... As of now they're only open Tues-Thu, 7am-3:30pm. I know Dr. Vetter also teaches at the UW School of Dentistry, so it makes sense, but with my husband and my work schedules, it's sometimes tricky to land a time that works to book an appointment - but somehow, we always find something. She's definitely worth a little scheduling inconvenience. You truly can't do better than Dr. Vetter! And it even rhymes. read more
