The experience explains why Dr. Biederman Jr. is so skilled at his craft - his father & dental assistant performed flawlessly, with the same efficiency & gentle touch, not a single painful or uncomfortable moment throughout the entire procedure (including novacaine shots, drilling out an old filling, cleaning out the decay, the whole time I just relaxed - hard to do at the dentist! I am not happy with the customer service here. I recently called to cancel an appointment due to being sick. The person on the line said "We charge a cancellation fee if you don't cancel before 48 hours." Total lack of empathy for your patients. They only seem to care about collecting money. This appointment was for a dental cleaning (my second of the year). It was scheduled as a reminder for me to "use my remaining dental benefits for the year. I received a bill the other day for $100 cancellation fee. I'll pay it. Don't bother to call me to schedule another appointment. I'll find another dentist to go to. read more

I DO NOT recommend Dr. Biderman's office which is very unfortunate because I'm sure Biderman is a great dentist but its because of the receptionist that I will not go here. I was recommended Biederman through family and when I tried to make an appointment at the beginning of the pandemic, the receptionist kept trying to convince me to go elsewhere. I left an honest review on Google and she tried to ask me to change it. However, I can say thank you for turning me away because now I have a great dentist. The receptionist is rude and when I walked in to try to go to my originally scheduled appointment, she kept looking at me weirdly and her attitude and tone were not appreciated. I also have bad anxiety and sometimes social anxiety therefore that was an even more of a reason to not go to this dentist. read more

Such a great experience! Finding a dentist is stressful! But this office is wonderful. I got my teeth cleaned there recently and the person who cleaned for me was exceptional. Friendly, professional, clearly highly trained and skilled and they took great Covid precautions. Dr Biederman was also great. He came in for an exam and I could tell right away that he knows what he's doing. I used the same dentist my whole life in California and had a hard time finding someone that seemed trustworthy here and I'm so glad I found this office!!! read more

Absolutely never going back. I'll start by saying that I actually *like* going to the Dentist. I have bad teeth, and it's nice to get them fixed when needed, so I wasn't surprised at the long list of fillings and whatnot that needed to be done. In retrospect though, that list was too long and I think some of the fillings were unnecessary, and are now causing me big problems. My first red flag was just how high my out-of-pocket expenses were at appointments. I had three appointments, and the first was around a hundo, the second was $194, and the third..... well, we'll get to that. Of the fillings that apparently had to happen on my front teeth, one has become severely cracked over time to the point where I'm nervous that my tooth will split at any moment, and the other one wasn't properly molded afterwards. Both fillings had to be repaired/redone by another dentist and still aren't totally fixed. Additionally, I went to Dr. Biederman's office because I had received a coupon in the mail for a free teeth whitening. When I went for this appointment, I had the service done, and then they told me that they wouldn't accept my coupon because it had expired, regardless of the fact that my first few appointments were well within the time frame of the coupon, so there was another $100 out of pocket. And guess what came in the mail a couple weeks later? The same coupon for free teeth whitening. Because of the poor work on my teeth and poor customer service, I'm never returning. read more

Sorry to go against the grain, but I have to disagree about the friendly and welcoming staff. As a new patient, I made two appointments for my husband and I, but ended up having to reschedule both. I called and left messages giving notice BOTH times because hey, I'm a considerate person. No one told me about having to provide notice 24 hours in advance, but obviously I just give notice as soon as I know that we CANNOT come in! Since the office is closed on Mondays and the weekend, I could only give notice of cancelling my Tuesday morning appointment on Monday night. Emily left me a very condescending message saying that if we wanted to reschedule, we would need to look only at afternoon or end-of-the day appointments from then on, since essentially there was a risk we would cancel again with short notice. Are you kidding me?! As responsible, productive, and yes BUSY, adults, my husband and I will go somewhere else where we are not treated like children, or at least informed of expectations with regard to giving notice. read more

Would highly recommend this dentist to anyone afraid of the dentist!! I was that person and I avoided going to the dentist for about 5-6 years. But when I became pregnant I realized it was time to check my teeth out so they wouldn't get worse in pregnancy due to inflammation. They were so nice and made me feel so comfortable that after the first time I went I got over my dentist-A-phobia. Now I go all the time (I got Invisalign so I'm at the dentist every 8 weeks) and I still would recommend them to anyone. It seems to be their protocol that they only employ nice people! read more

This place is fantastic. I won't go into a lengthy review because I feel like the other reviewers put it really well. I will say, that I had a great dentist before I came here but then my insurance changed, and I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple of years. Then I came here, and loved it. My point is that I had already come from a great dentist, but I was still in love with this place. Everything was SO FAST. I hardly had to wait, the receptionist, Emily, is the nicest person I've met in a long time. They took X-rays and explained to me what they saw. The cleaning was quick but fantastic. I felt like we were all on the same team, working together to keep my mouth healthy! I know that sounds cheesy, but I really liked it here and I'm actually looking forward to returning. Thank you Dr. Biederman and Staff! --The short of the long... 1. I usually hate going to the dentist 2. Dr. Biederman's office is amazing, clean and friendly. 3. They use a lot of cutting edge technology 4. Dr. Biederman and the hygienist worked together to do the cleaning 5. There is no judging or guilt tripping about the fact that you don't floss as much as you're supposed to 6. I never felt like crying. --The details... I hate (HATE!) going to the dentist. I've never had a cavity in my life and before today I always left feeling guilty and like I was going to cry. So, there's never been a lot of incentive to make an appointment to be tortured and guilt tripped. This is not the case at Dr. Biederman's office at all. The staff is friendly (I wish I could remember the hygienist's name) and Dr. Biederman is super attentive. The office is also super clean and modern. At most places I have been the hygienist does all the work and then you see the dentist for 5 minutes while he looks over your teeth. This was not the case! He came in and introduced himself and explained what was going to happen (x-rays, exam, a conversation about what my mouth looks like, and a cleaning). Digital x-rays were taken (you can view them immediately), photographs were taken of the inside of my mouth with a tiny camera and then I got to look at all the images. He went over everything with me and explained the plan of care. Then, Dr. Biederman and the hygienist worked together to clean my teeth. They have a lot of technology at their office including a tool with high powered water/vibration that cleans most of the plaque off your teeth! This decreases the amount of scraping they have to do--amazing! He did tell me I needed to floss more, but he never made me feel guilty. The hygienist literally said at one point, "Don't worry! We're not here to judge you!" Finally, a dental office where I don't feel like crying. read more

He is genuinely-interested in his clients' well-being, and that translates into his taking whatever time is necessary to explain procedures and to answer questions. I had a seamless experience at Dr. Biederman's office and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, professional, and friendly dentist in town. I only wish I'd found them sooner! I went in for a routine cleaning plus in-office whitening and found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, from my first phone-call all the way through the moment I stepped out the door. Dr. Biederman was honestly the best dentist I've seen (and I've been to plenty of dentists over the years). Aside from being really knowledgeable and professional, he patiently explained my x-rays to me and talked me through treatment options without any pressure or judgement at all. I have loved going to Biederman Dentistry over the last four years! Before I went to Dr. Biederman, a dentist told me that I needed to have surgery immediately to correct some gum recession, so I got a second opinion from Dr. Biederman who walked me through the pros and cons of this procedure. He then recommended we simply monitor the gum recession for a while and only do the surgery if it gets worse. He also gave me some tips for how I could take better care of my gums. Four years later, and still no surgery (or any cavities)! My gums and teeth are the healthiest they've ever been. :) Heather and Holly have both been awesome as well. Heather is a wonderful and friendly hygienist and she and Dr. Biederman work seamlessly together. I love the relaxing music and atmosphere of the office and that they don't ask questions while they are working on my teeth. :) Holly was very helpful as the office administrator when I got a new job that didn't provide dental insurance. She walked me through my options for care and made sure that I received the best possible value (and I really think I did, because I called a few other places to double check). I needed to find a dentist in the Greenlake area and started doing some research. I was impressed with Dr Biederman's reviews and thought i'd give it a try. Well, I was impressed. First off in the past, I've had some bad experiences where the dentist has not thought through what they were doing and went in all willy nilly and ended up cutting my lip a FEW times in one visit, but I digress... In contrast, I would say my experience with Dr. Biederman has been the opposite. He has always been thoughtful, very deliberate, and thorough. And this is exactly what I'd like in a dentist! My cleanings have been a breeze and as I haven't had a filling from him yet, I can only imagine the experience to be the same. This is my second Yelp review. I don't do these things very often. BUT I had to do it for Biederman Dentistry. Everything about my experience here was wonderful. They have been so accomodating with my wacky schedule, which results in me being the ultimate pain in the ass. Seriously. So after rescheduling approximately 4 times, I finally went and had such a good experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and Dr. Biederman actually took the time to explain what he was doing, what was going on with my teeth, and didn't even give me a hard time after not going to the dentist for 4 years (what?!?! I didn't have insurance). Everything is super high tech at the clinic, and everything went smoothly. Dr. Biederman and his assistant were friendly and cracked a few jokes now and again to lighten the mood. No one likes the dentist, but I actually left smiling and that was after I was told I had cavities. That is what I'm talking about. To top all of this off, I got the nicest thank you card in the mail. Seriously... that is awesome. I feel like the whole staff is the perfect blend of attentive and professional. wonderful place. I have been going to Biederman Dentistry for almost 2 years now, and I plan on staying because of the wonderful staff! Dr. Biederman is so down to earth. He does a great job at explaining everything. Holly at the front desk is so friendly and welcoming, always willing to help and always follows through with every question I have. I even referred my husband to start going there as well because I love this place! I've had some bad experiences in the past with other dental offices, so I am so glad my friend recommended this place! It feels great to establish care at a place you can trust! I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Biederman and his staff! I got a "deal of the day" for a long over-due cleaning and xrays. He was friendly, thorough, and it didn't hurt a bit, which is a lot coming from ms. low-pain-tolerance over here:)! Emily, at the front desk, is also very friendly and upbeat! After the appointment I struggled with wisdom tooth pain and the long wait of getting them extracted from UW (because I have no insurance). I've called him on a number of occasions. He has always responded to questions, concerns, and everything I've thrown at him (and Emily) in the last month while waiting for my surgery. I picked Dr. Biederman after reading the reviews. I'm dental-phobic, and saw other people say such nice things about him. So I gave him a shot. They helped me sort out my really confusing dental insurance (and even pick a better plan for the following year) and didn't make me feel crazy for being scared. This review is mainly for the dental hygienist Mesky that worked on me for my visit. I hate going to the dentist since it usually means pain and annoyance. Mesky was very nice and listened too my concerns about the pain I always get from dental charting with a probe and cleaning. She gave me local anesthetics when I had asked for the probing and the cleaning to have a better experience in the chair. She always told me what she was going to do next and what to expect. Also gave breaks when I had asked when my jaw got too sore. I also got headphones to listen to my music while she worked so that was a nice plus. This practice takes the family relationship to another level. I chipped my tooth the day before yesterday and called the same night saying "URGENT". I got a call first thing next morning and fortunately they were able to get me in. I really appreciate that they were able to do something for me despite their full schedule. About 5 months ago, I also had a 2-year old crown that popped off (done by a different dentist) and they made accommodations for me the next day. I don't know if I'm just lucky but I feel good knowing that if I ever have any unwanted surprises with my teeth, that they will be at my beck and call. I feel like they are my good friends.
