A couple years ago I booked an appointment for my dog. The girl who took my appointment wrote the wrong date down. When I took my dog there to get groomed they told me I missed the appointment and I told the owner she wrote the wrong date down. Well, now I can't make an appointment unless I pay for no show. Oh that girl doesn't work there anymore go figure!! The owner wouldn't budge and I live 1 minute from her shop. I don't live in Ocean City don't know why it says that. read more

The whole process is just WRONG. First you submit a preliminary application. You have to then wait for someone to call you back. During this call, they ask question (which are relevant so no problem). They ask if your pet is up to date with shots (again standard) and if you will be able to furnish documentation. You are then given a price RANGE and told you have to put 50% of the highest range down. You are given 48 hours to make said deposit. I was okay with everything until I got a threatening text saying they took the liberty of containing my vet (I did not authorize) and my dog was behind on his rabies. I was then informed I had to get paperwork in immediately or my appointment cancelled. First of all, you told me to bring it with me. Second of all, my vet did not fax all documents as my pet received his rabies (3 years) at SPCA. The vet did have copy but they just faxed over vaccines they had given. I cancelled my appointment. They seem to screen for a certain clientele and I choose to spend and support businesses that are upfront and can communicate clearly. Trust me, they are among the highest costing groomers in area. Shop around. And you don't have to put deposit. read more

The woman who owns this company is strange to say the least. My wife has hired them a few times to groom our two elderly (16yo) dogs. The owner has proudly in the past told my wife she won't take the Covid vaccine. We kept them anyhow. Today they came to groom our dogs. In the past, the owner has worn a mask, Today she didn't. While grooming dog number 1. my wife sent a simple note "Could you please wear a mask" when we switch dogs. In that I have a severe medical issue and will be having a major cardiac procedure in a few weeks, it seemed like a common sense simple request. 99.99% of normal humans would have had the courtesy to simply wear a mask if requested. Keep in mind she was entering my home and on my property. Common business sense is to humor your customer even if you disagree. The woman's bizarre response to a simple polite text was to stop grooming dog number 1, quit the job, hand back a soaking wet dog, and leave angry. Her chagrined husband was with her and he seemed pretty embarrassed. I'm always amazed about the degree to which some folks have made a simple public health issue into a nuclear political line in the sand. As a physician, I am quite confident saying that the vaccine is safe an effective. I have unfortunately seen too many folks die from Covid while still doing their "homework" on the vaccine. I think they should have done more homework in 10th grade science class. It is the ultimate in selfish to not only refuse to do the patriotic thing and take a vaccine that would protect your neighbors and family but to also refuse to wear a mask for 20 seconds if politely asked to do so in a business relationship. In the end, she wasted two hours of her time and never got paid. I can replace the service easily. I wish her safety and hope she survives the virus despite her medieval intellectual processes. Update: they will no longer groom Luna because it has been longer than 8 weeks since her last appt. she only needs grooming every 4-6 months. oh well. I have had three great mobile appointments with Sudzy Pets! On all three occasions they were on time and did a great job with my dog. She always looks and smells amazing after her groomI'm pretty sure Brittany is the name of the girl who came the last two times- i would definitely request her again! Wow, just had the strangest experience with this mobile grooming company. Christina, who had cancelled our first appointment and then was uncertain on our follow up date, arrived this am. She was supposed to do my 2 dogs. She did not seem super confident about bathing and grooming my medium size dog, After 5 minutes she was at my front door with my dog soaking wet still covered in soap, telling us she was unable to groom her. My husband had to go into the van to assist as we insisted the soap be washed out. He said our dog was fine, so acting crazy. As soon as my husband and dog got out of the van, she put it in reverse and took off, no explanation, so discussion of money, no discussion of my other dog???? Absolutely do not recommend at all. We put a email request online here on Yelp on their website that they have and it has been like 72 hours with "no" response back on our request for a quote & appointment information. They say first impression are important so if this is how the company is run I would not recommend wasting your time contacting them online‼ Just a update on our review above we did use the website that is on the Yelp site here and filled out the contact form for additional information on our request and was done appropriately on 8/6 or 8/7 late in the evening and as of 8/11 we have heard nothing back! read more

So this was a waste of time and money. I set up my appointment over the phone (they have a website but it's uninformative and provides no ability to schedule/pay online) with Christina for my two rescue dogs. One dog needed a full groom w/shave and the other just needed a bath and some trimwork. I was asked to have the rabies vaccine date for them ready, however, one of my dogs can no longer receive vaccines due to health issues, and they were fine with that. On the day of the appointment, they showed up timely. However, I had been busy and did not have the rabies vaccine info for one dog available so they wouldn't work on her. Okay, we'll skip her - she's easy enough to bathe on my own, just thought it would be nice to have someone else do it for me if they were already here. They took my other dog, who has physical limitations (due to injuries sustained from an abusive previous owner) - which they were told about - to the van and then they came back about 10 minutes later with her, HALF-shaved and unbathed. I was told that because she wouldn't stand, they couldn't finish the job (she has 4 working legs, but a previous bone infection in one leg, on top of the back injury must make it difficult for her to stand for long periods). Not sure what the issue was exactly because there were two groomers - one could have held her up, while the other shaved her...??? She's a pretty docile dog so she doesn't mind getting groomed. Anyway, I could get over the stupid-looking half-assed haircut and both dogs are small enough to bathe myself however... I was then informed that I would be charged $60(!?!?!) because they came out for 2 grooming appointments, but couldn't complete them. Their fees were never disclosed in the several conversations that we had up until this point or on their useless website. If I knew it was going to cost me $30 to attempt work on one dog for 10 minutes and another $30 to not do anything to the other dog, I would have called the vet right then for the rabies record (or just not made the appointment for both dogs). However, they knew that I was working from home and on a call with my boss at the same time that they were backing out of their agreement so I really could only sign away on the charge and plan to give poor feedback for lousy service. Bottom Line to Sudzy Pets: Don't be a dog groomer if you're not going to actually groom dogs. You're the professional who was hired to do a job so figure it out and do it, or at least don't charge the customer when your skills aren't up to snuff. Bottom Line to Potential Customers: Don't waste your money on Sudzy Pets. I would have been willing to meet in the middle and pay $30 for the inconvenience to the business. As it stands, I am now out $60 and I'll have to pay someone else to finish the shave on my one dog. What a rip off. read more

We did mobile grooming for the first time & chose Sudzy Pets on a recommendation. Amanda was our groomer & she was AMAZING! She texted when she was on the way with an ETA, which was great because I had time to take my girls out to use the bathroom prior to their service. Amanda took the time to ask important questions about how I wanted them cut, explained the whole process, and was very detailed. Extremely professional and caring! We took our Terrier Mix to Sudzy's to have her bathed and her nails clipped. They got us in first thing the next morning at their brick & mortar store. The communication on the initial call as well as in person was great. The services were performed in a timely manner, and our pup pup came home looking and smelling great, with much nicer nails. I left a message and the recording stated that I would be called back after the business day. That was a Friday. I heard nothing from them and decided to give them a second chance on Tuesday. I had an 11:30 appointment for my dog to get groomed. When I dropped him off I was told it would be about two hours until he was finished and I would get a call 20min before. Okay, seems a little strange to have a 2 hour wait when you have a standing appointment, but things happen I get it. This is a wonderful mobile groomer. They have given my dogs - 3 mini schnauzers - the best cuts they have had in 5 years! My one dog is blind and they have been so gentle with her.
