Being in Edison , we always visit Subzi mandi .. lots and lots of Indian groceries and vegetables . Very busy most of the times. We like the vegetables here . Mostly fresh. Groceries are fine too. Lots of options to choose from. Issue is with pickles and frozen items .. make sure u check the expiry dates , as I bumped into few items . We normally report it to them, and they remove it , but not sure if they put it back with a new sticker .. hope they throw it off. .. otherwise , very good customer service and we always like to shop here .. thumbs up

Subzi mandi is a huge Indian grocery store consisting of fresh produce, dairy, Indian spices and a whole lot of specific things which would be otherwise hard to find at other grocery stores. The store is huge inside with a huge section of fresh produce right smack in the middle. Once you cross that, you'll find a couple of isles consisting of spices, dry food items and other products. Towards the end, they have a huge freezer section for frozen vegetables and frozen food items in general. The store has all the COVID precautions in place with the mask wearing and social distancing. The parking outside the store is ample but is not organized very well. The shopping carts are randomly thrown outside the store and were disorganized. Let's talk about the products inside the store. As always when dealing with a big grocery store, I recommend to check the expiration date before blindly purchasing any item. There were a few items in the store that were outdated and expired. The produce section was fresh and the frozen section looked properly maintained. I'd still recommend caution when buying products, which have limited shelf life, and check the expiration date and avoid the trouble of returning that item. If you're searching for typical Indian produce/ items specific to Asian authenticity, I'd suggest to give this store a try.

    Really great produce

It does not have a kitchen like the big "P" store, but if you are buying ingredients for your own cooking, not ready made items, it has very reasonable prices.

** Great Selection and Fresh Produce!**…read more Lotte Market is one of the better Asian grocery stores around--definitely a go-to if you're looking for a wide variety of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian ingredients under one roof. The store is clean, well-organized, and the produce section is surprisingly fresh with lots of options you don't usually find in regular supermarkets. The seafood section is a standout--plenty of fresh fish and shellfish, and they even clean or cut it for you on request. The meat section is also well-stocked with cuts popular in Asian cuisine. You'll find everything from marinated bulgogi to hotpot essentials. There's a great range of snacks, noodles, sauces, frozen dumplings, and ready-to-eat meals. The in-store bakery and food court are added bonuses--try the Korean fried chicken or fresh buns! Parking is usually decent, but weekends can get crowded. Prices are a little on the higher side compared to smaller ethnic stores, but the convenience and variety make up for it. Service and billing slower at times Still, highly recommended for any Asian grocery shopping needs!

The least crowded of the newer Asian markets…read more They're a little more out of the way and not as trendy and fun to shop in as H Mart but there isn't the same congestion and chaos here. Sometimes H Mart feels like it was purposefully designed to have that chaos in mind, like you're meant to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount and variety of goods they offer, to meander through their tighter layout to discover something. Adds to the bustling atmosphere. Kind of like Costco and Trader Joe's. You're always going to leave buying something you never intended to. H Mart tends to cost more than the other Asian markets and caters more towards the youth. Lotte has the cleanliness of H Mart with nearly as much ethnic goods as them, if not more in the South and Southeast Asian department. Their overall design and layout is simpler so it's easier and faster to find what you need. They have pretty consistent sales to boot. Peace and quiet, great for elders and families. Lotte remains to be the most balanced and the IDEAL in terms of shopping experience, variety, quality, and value of all of the Asian markets. Go to the back past 6pm for 30-50% off discounted prepared food. I personally find some of their items, like kimbap, to be better than H Mart's. Food court is also significantly less busy than H Mart's.

Specifically people not stopping at stop signs or driving in the middle of the lane. There fuel efficient parking. However, it's not enforced seeing gas guzzlers in there. Leaving to the store. It's pretty good. There is a cheese monger there who I think's name is Mike who is awesome. He has been really helpful and when I've had cheese questions or gone there he is always very friendly, knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to talk to. Unlike any other cheese section at whole foods I've been to because of him. Their hot bar is like pretty standard hot bar. Nothing to write home about but nothing that's bad. The pizzas are pretty good, although a large pizza is I would consider a medium. They're fish. Selection is waxed and waned. The last couple times I've gone there has been multiple types of salmon. And the past they've had more varieties of fish. Although they're shellfish selection is pretty good. The last time we were there we ordered a few dozen oysters and they were very good and they gave us size to take them home and which is a plus. Not a bad local whole foods, Worth stopping in if you're local or within a 15-minute drive.

Any Whole Foods Market is a wholesome grocery place where you get anything that's edible from A-Z…read moreand this place falls on the same line as its peers. Parking is a breeze unless you are here on a weekend which might make it tight but you will still find your spot. They offer anything under the umbrella - floral, produce, water refill, meat, bakery, freshly prepared food and even an Amazon Return counter which makes it very convenient for return drop offs. The place is ambient, produce is fresh at all times, checkout including self checkout are smooth and the customer service is impeccable. Amazon Prime members get discounted price with a QR code from the app. Now coming to why I would rate this place a star less- I mostly frequent this place for the water refills and there have been instances when the lines are long due to a spout issue where the water would stream thin or the water service being totally unavailable due to mechanical issues with the system. This is a common problem with the Bridgewater location too and I hope Whole Foods brings about a change to either make it available at all times or bring in some form of notification system for signed up customers.
