Great Asian styled grocery market with an extensive fresh seafood selection. Was truly impressed with the amount of live lobsters and specialty fish in tanks. Their selection of international teas and coffee was equally impressive. What was even more impressive was their fresh fruits and veggies section. From purple cauliflower to Asian apples , I was in veggie fruit heaven. On the left side of the store they had some specialty restaurants with mochi stores and Asian bakery with individually wrapped baked goods. Nice to find an amazing local Asian grocery store gem while traveling . Service: Excellent. Very friendly. Parking: Ample.Walked there early in am and plenty of parking. Availability: Able to find everything needed Return: Absolutely when return to NJ.

Best Korean market that I've been to in the US, and that includes Korean markets in L.A, and NYC. The place is clean and the isles are spacious -- this is not a tightly packed city market. Lots of good prepared foods. Produce section is well maintained. Seafood seems fresh. Food court is pretty amazing with a variety of tasty shops. Overall great market that has an upscale feel.

This supermarket is very convenient and close to my sister's house when I come down to go grocery shopping. They also have tons of parking space for you to park unlike other supermarkets. It is very spacious and it is very organized inside where you can walk down one aisle and find exactly what you are looking for. I just love how it is easy to find the items that you want. The lines are not crowded like other supermarkets like H Mart. The food court is has different types of restaurants such as Juno Bakery, BBQ Chicken (Korean Chicken), Jin Cha Roo (Korean Food), and you even have bubble tea like Gong Cha. The prices here can vary depending on what you are looking for and is definitely better than H Mart. The food seem to be fresher here too.

We ordered food,so disappointed with the cashier so rude and food quality poor for the price...not recommended this place

Lotte Plaza Market is an International Asian food market located within the Tano Shopping Mall. It features Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese groceries, cutlery, and crockery items. While it does carry a plethora of said groceries, it is primarily a Korean market. I was very excited to find they had a better selection of many dried beans, more exotic fruits, and vegetables, and wider selections of frozen items, and I even found my elusive Samgaetang ingredient kit. I should also add, that they have a very enticing meat and seafood section. I could not smell anything odorous as I pursued the isles. The produce looks fresher and much nicer than another grocery store that I frequent. The prices are about the same with some items being a scooch bit more and others a tad bit less expensive. Overall, it's comparable to most Asian grocery store prices in Edison. They have a food court where they serve hot Korean food. The stands are as follows: BBQ Chicken for fried chicken; Bulbap Grill for Galbi burgers, bulgogi bowls, and Kimchi fried rice; Korean Rice HotDog for Korean hot dogs; Gong Cha for bubble tea; and Juno Bakery for desserts. I went to "Korean Rice HotDog" and ordered #6 which is their most popular and voted best hot dog. It consists of half mozzarella and half hot dog with an outside crust consisting of dried ramen noodles. They have 4 condiments on the side for hot dogs but it was so flavorful, that it did not need any. Just place your order and they will make it fresh for you. The buzzer they hand you will go off when it is ready. Hubby took a bite and decided he enjoyed it so much, that he accidentally consume half of it. This is a man who usually does not care for street food, as much as I enjoy them. 5 stars out of 5 stars for that hot dog! If that isn't enough to get me excited, they even have very complete Korean snack heaven, I mean section where it carries all of the most popular and favorite Korean snacks of all time. It made grabbing snacks for The Kid so much easier. Comparing apples to apples, H-Mart is bigger and has more back-to-back isles, but Lotte Plaza has a broader range of things. Lotte Plaza is cleaner, better organized, and more thought out. Much more appealing. A little more out of my way to get to but it is worth the trip.

I feel like there aren't a lot of big Asian supermarket options in NJ. It's either Asian Food Markets (which doesn't always feel the cleanest), 99 Ranch (which can be pricey), or Hmart (which has limited variety). I'm glad I found Lotte via Yelp. Located in Edison, it's a bit of a drive for me but it's worth it. We got there at around 10 on a Saturday morning and there was no line. Here are some of the pros: -Everything is organized and easy to find, and looks clean (I'm guessing it's because they only just opened in July 2019). -You can't beat the variety here. You'll find Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian (pretty much any Asian country) products -Prices are reasonable. There are some items that are a bit pricey but for the most part, I can't complain -There's a special (not sure if it's temporary or year-round) where you spend $100 and get a $5 coupon for your next purchase -Plenty of parking -They have a food court (closed now because of Covid) but I wouldn't mind trying some of the spots out once they reopen -They have a HUGE selection of fresh seafood, and again - for a good price Here are some of the cons: -Produce is hit or miss. Some items look great but others are so-so. I bought the strawberries on special (3 for $5) and the next day, I found mold on some of them that definitely weren't there the day I bought it. But that's chance you take when you buy the sale items Not much else for cons, as you can see. I just wish it was a bit closer but like I said, it's worth the drive.

Solid grocery store, lots of Korean specific foods and fresh produce and fruits. Sauces, seafood, meats and more. Good deals on sales items. Watch what you pick, sometimes damage from all the people pawing through the food. Less busy than the local HMart in Edison so less crowded. Also has a food court with several options.

Currently hiring store associates to work in various departments: obviously, you need to be able to read the ad in order to apply.

Far outside of its main footprint in Maryland and Virginia, Lotte Plaza Market's very first New Jersey location drew in crowds with a grand opening on July 25, 2019. Housed in a former A&P next to Zaika BBQ, Lotte's Edison location currently occupies the largest retail space in Tano Mall. Notable opening week promotions included strawberries for $0.99/pint, blueberries for $1.49/pint, 6 bunches of green onions for $0.99, 10 oz of frozen salted mackerel for $1.99, ugly-AF outdoor slippers for $1.99, and 10-roll packs of Hello Kitty toilet paper for $9.99. Never mind the fact that the in-store bakery was basically empty and that the food court only had one and a half vendors. The biggest draw of opening week was the overabundance of food samples: I tasted three different types of Korean short rib, two varieties of kimchi, two flavors of mochi ice cream, and washed it all down with three different types of teas/juices/coconut water! To cater to the local community, this Lotte has staffed both Korean- and Mandarin-speaking store associates (who also speak English). Grand opening promotions appear to be ongoing through the end of September 2019, particularly the free tote bag with purchase and sweepstakes for the $3,000 Visa gift card (with 12 runner-up prizes of Lotte gift cards). Despite being a Korean supermarket chain, Lotte has meticulously tailored its weekly circulars to include separate language editions for English- and Chinese-speaking communities as well. Product selection includes a modest section for Indian and Pakistani cuisines, as well as sizable collection of rice cookers and frying pans. College students can look forward to saving 5% year-round with a student ID and credit card. Pricing and quality are somewhere between Kam Man and H-Mart, but this Lotte's most important asset is probably its location. While 99 Ranch, Kam Man, and H-Mart are also clustered around major thoroughfares such as Routes 1 and 27, Lotte is the only Asian chain supermarket in Edison that is north of 287--which caters to a slightly neglected but important customer base in North Edison. In the coming year, there will be a price war and there will be blood, but after the dust settles and all other things being equal I think customers will still flock to whichever store is closest.

Another great Korean market in Edison. Place is clean and spacious. There is a separate section for Indian groceries as well. A nice bakery and a food court. Although the food court is a work in progress. We went on opening day and the were only 2 restaurants so far. I believe there are about 8 stalls for restaurants. Very limited seating though if they all open up. Much smaller than hmart in Edison. Conveniently located next to Walgreens, honeybaked ham, dollar tree, etc. Accessible right of route 1 of Amboy Avenue.

Brand new Korean market in Edison. Actually it's beyond just Korean. It has a large variety of produce, Korean, Chinese, Indian, and Mexican. There are lots of options for Korean side dishes and marinated meats. Most surprising is that it even have a large selection of Indian sweets. Food court is not yet fully running. Only one tenant at the moment.

I really love this supermarket! It's not as large as 99 Ranch or Hmart, but you can find most of what you need to cook your Asian meal. They have food products from Korea, Japan, Chinese countries, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and even United States! I like that it's spacious but not overly large. The produce department has fresh produce that's individually bagged, and the prices are on par with the other markets. The meat department is well stocked during the pandemic and have a variety of farm meats and cuts, including premarinated for BBQ and pre-sliced meat for hot pot. The seafood is layed out on ice and appears fresh (I haven't purchased any). I like that there is a Indian aisle. I don't remember seeing this at the Hmart or 99 Ranch. My kids love the Indian chips, so I will be coming here periodically to get this. The American grocery section is near the dairy area. There is mostly the basics and it's a little pricier than going to a nearby Shoprite, but if you don't want to make an extra stop, there's that. Another plus is there is a food court and Asian bakery on premise. The food court currently has a Korean fried chicken place, a Gong Cha, Korean food stand(currently closed), and a few more that hasn't been occupied as of yet. The bakery is open but I haven't bought anything from there so I can't comment on it. It's situated on a nice strip mall, so you can make other stops before going home, such as the Dollar Tree, liquor store, Walgreens, Indian BBQ, Carvel, sushi, etc. I'm very pleased that there is another option to go to for groceries while in the area!

The amount of sauce they gave for the tangsuyuk was also lacking. Not sure if it was just us but we didn't get any banchan (radish) with our order while I saw everyone else got one. The produce, meat, and seafood sections are always fresh and well stocked, with plenty of variety. I especially love their tofu selection, ready to eat banchans, and marinated meats, perfect for quick dinners. I find myself always ending up with a box of Korean pears, golden kiwis, and soy milk in my cart no matter what I came in for. To my pleasant surprise, there was a lot of different things that you could buy there, and it saved me from going to the supermarket. Some things are overpriced such as minced garlic from Goya. They wanted almost 7 dollars for it, but the vegetables were priced low and they looked good even though there wasn't a huge selection like but that was just because my expectation was that it was just a fruit vegetable market. Apparently this store has changed hands since the last time I went there. I was excited at the prospect of being able to go here and shop locally for small business owners and with it being less than a half a mile away from my mom's house my goal was to go there and get lettuce, but I wind up getting a number of things That I needed from the supermarket and so when I left there, I felt satisfied. When I got home, there was a whole different story. I bought red leaf lettuce, which was rotten to the core on the inside. I had to throw it out. I also bought Romain lettuce, which was mostly the darker green leaves and less of the crisp part of the lettuce, which disappointed me a little, but I figured I could still make do I washed and cut up the lettuce and I used the pre-cut onions, celery, and carrots that I bought also from this fruit market. And I made my salad. When I was eating it, I didn't really notice anything except that the leaves were not really what I like. I don't love all Bert green leaves found at the top. But whatever. I ate it. An hour later and for five hours more, I was sick as a dog. I had to take two different stomach medicines, and Tums because something in that salad did not agree with me and then I start freaking out because the first one that I threw away was rotten so it made me feel like this lettuce wasn't that fresh or maybe it was the pre-chopped onion, celery or carrots. All I know is that I almost called out of work today. Luckily, I felt better when I got up, even though I have still have a little bit of a stomachache I called them this morning and told them that the red leaf lettuce is rotten and they need to take it off the shelves and I told the lady that I was really sick last night. She was so nonchalant about it and said OK and we hung up. I don't love that. She should've said come and get a different head of lettuce, but she didn't offer anything. And therefore, I waited till I got home from work to write this review. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here again. I usually go to Rahway Farmers Market and I don't think I've ever had this issue. I didn't take a picture of it, but I should have. Because when I tell you that the red leaf lettuce head was slimy and rotten on the inside to the point that it should've never been put on the shelf.

There is baked goods and a prepared pre-cooked Dim Sum items, a fish market, and some Chinese bamboo plants. My party found Kam Man Food extortionate high priced for a lot of items.
