I went here for the food court, and I got tangsuyuk ($18.99). The portion was small for the price. I definitely had better portion with better pricing elsewhere. The amount of sauce they gave for the tangsuyuk was also lacking. Not sure if it was just us but we didn't get any banchan (radish) with our order while I saw everyone else got one. I also tried to order another dish right after someone else ordered, and they told me they're closed now. The parking at this hmart was pretty bad though. It took some time to find parking in the parking lot. Probably due it's located at a pretty busy plaza with a lot of restaurants. A grocery run at H Mart has become one of my favorite things to do after visiting Island Spa, located in the same plaza. I usually swing by on weekday afternoons when it's quieter and easier to browse without the rush. Some of the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and overall shopping experience make it worth it. The store feels bright and organized which could be relaxing and a nice contrast to most grocery runs. The produce, meat, and seafood sections are always fresh and well stocked, with plenty of variety. I especially love their tofu selection, ready to eat banchans, and marinated meats, perfect for quick dinners. I find myself always ending up with a box of Korean pears, golden kiwis, and soy milk in my cart no matter what I came in for. We walked in to this H Mart store on Sunday afternoon to do some grocery shopping. It's a massive place. Has pretty much all the things including fruits, veggies, seafood, meat, poultry, snack, rice, frozen goods, cooking items, kitchenware and so much more. I first walked into the fruit section. It wasn't very clean. A lot of the stalls were empty. Among rest, some fruits were in bad condition. This was the first time I had such disappointment with an H Mart's fruits quality. Rest of the sections were decent. We bought some chips, pocky, and vegetables. Checkout was quick and easy. Great place to pick up fresh fruits and veggies. The assortment is excellent. They have sugar cane stalks, Thai eggplant and basil and more. The household items were great also. I didn't attempt the food court because it was packed. I was a bit disappointed in picking up other Asian staples though. They didn't seem to offer a broad range of food items. They seem to stock fresh veggies, fruits, seafood and household items but pay less attention to pantry staples. Smaller stores seemed to stock those items better. Parking is challenging. Good food court in very busy Korean mall area. Store is always packed since there is so many Korean shops in one location. This place has huge parking lot, but always filled and you have take about 10-20 minutes just looking for a parking spot. If you can find a parking spot, you can easily walk from one plaza to another. Good restaurants near too. We come here about once a month. Mostly for eating, but H-mart has so many Korean grocery items and they also have nice food court. And grocery section is very complete. I recommend if anyone looking to buying something in Korean or try some Korean food. read more

Overpriced in my opinion but decent supermarket. Parking is rough and overcrowded since it's in a small plaza area.

This supermarket always carries a variety of fresh produce; I got lychee and rambutan and they were both sweet and tasty. I found some organic oolong tea and added it to my cart. They have a large fish market where you could pick a selection of fish, craw fish, and crabs. I like to try new Asian desserts so I selected some frozen ice creams and chocolate. Unfortunately the last two times I've been there they've been sold out of the sweet corn ice cream which is one of my favorite. The lines move quick and it's never too crowded during the week not sure about the weekend. They have small shops and a food court similar to the h mart food hall at American dreams. My group took pictures at the Photo Booth, it was cute and fun. At the food hall I got a snack, an all beef Korean hot dog and a mochi donut which totaled about $12. The supermarket sells pre packaged meals for those who are going for a quick grab and go. The restrooms are a little out dated and could use some attention. read more

This Hmart is pretty amazing. Not only is it huge, but there are a ton of little cute shops inside, including a many places to eat and a claw game arcade shop! My overall experience shopping at H-mart Edison is a positive one. Understandably so, the parking lot is very packed on weekends, as shoppers look to shop for groceries. From my perspective, the produce, as well as other perishable goods, are stocked and full, which means that the business has plenty of customers to purchase them. Aside from the full parking lot, which is a minor inconvenience, I really enjoyed browsing around and searching for new recipes. My mom and I love to come here to shop for their fresh fruit. They also have a wide variety of products to buy. However, besides their fruit and snacks, I don't usually buy anything else. H Mart of Edison is busier than ever. Parking has become a real challenge. I enjoy the food court options these days like the mochi donuts and the Korean bbq chicken. Great addition on the Tiger Sugar Bubble Tea. If you can stomach the crowded area then I would recommend a shopping trip and dinner at the food court. read more

5 stars for being open on Christmas Day when all other area supermarkets, including the Walmarts, are closed. All I wanted was orange juice. They lock their doors well before they actually close so if you need to quickly run in and grab something, no such luck. Hmart food court has some good restaurants. There is a lot to choose from and the service decent and wait times are not too bad. On the weekends it gets a little busy but that's expected due to how popular the supermarket is. Ambiance is busy on the weekends and tends to be more calm during the weekdays. Sometimes harder to get tables. I did notice how over the years they have cheaped out on the quality of kimchi, the quantity of food vs the prices have obviously gone up. read more

Located in a Korean strip mall on 27 in Edison near Highland Park. This and Island Spa are the two big people drawers. Parking can get tough so be prepared. Produce is always really good here and affordably priced. Large variety of Asian ingredients. The bbq raw meats that you make at home are good but very pricey. I would avoid traditional grocery shopping here as it's very pricey. Love all the desserts and snacks available to find. Love the little shops surrounding the store. Always something fun. The beauty section is pretty small and I can't speak for pricing or brand selection. The homewares section has some fun stuff. Sometimes they'll carry unique stuff. I've gotten a few gems there. This place literally has it all, everything is fresh, great pricing, and great variety. I like that you can also grab lunch at the food places inside Hmart as well as surrounding plaza. Hmart @ Edison NJ, my goto asian market for Korean and other Asian groceries. They have food court which has Korean fried chicken, Korean bunsik, mochi donuts, Korean-Chinese and Korean food. You can get Hmart card and start earning points for your shopping. I look at Hmart's weekly sales flyer to stock up on sales items. I always get box of Chinese cabbage and Korean radish to make kimchi in the fall. They have a large selection of fresh and frozen seafood section if you are seafood lover! They also sell thinly sliced beef and pork, also marinated bulgogi and pork if you are making a Korean bbq at home. There are a lots of packaged noodles in a refrigerator section which can be prepared in five minutes. They also have household and small electronic items from Korea. read more

An update - they were super busy today as I went in a long time to check out the scene. There are multiple stations in the walkway through, and it causes traffic jams at the entry of the store as much as the ones out in the parking lot. Unfortunately part of the lot is covered right now for construction of some sort making parking even harder since this is a busy plaza. Lot of fruit is great - but a lot of damaged/aged fruit, too, check the boxes you get. $25 for white nectarines, but $39 for white peaches? Guess varieties come from all over. They also have some Chinese mooncakes upfront for the season - not cheap but at least convenient. They have a small area for ramen. And really small area to try single bags of ramen before you buy a big pack - this is disappointing, the HMart up over by Ridgefield has a much bigger selection and lot more single packs to allow you to try before you regret. Overall the store is just crowded badly around the entry and produce sections; the fresh fish area is slightly better and as you make your way back along the meat/other aisles it finally opens a bit more. Loved the food court with a ton of good food options. We had lunch here and also checked out tiger sugar and tous les jour to buy boba and coffee and some Korean baked goods! It was definitely one of the nicer hmarts that I've been to and had a lot of great options for food and baked goods and boba of course. Food came out quickly & luckily there was enough room for us to eat! The only downside I would say is that the parking was so limited no joke we had to park at the back of hmart where the trucks unload the goods for hmart lol That plaza has way too many restaurants and other businesses there and not enough spaces to park. read more

I like going to the food court here since its pretty fast and the food is good. I tried dduk dabang and got the beef tteokbokki. It was a big enough portion for two people and was pretty filling. The sauce is kind of sweet, spicy, and cheesy. read more

A great place for Asian groceries and snacks. The onigiri made by the actual store is ~$0.76 more expensive than the one made by some other brand but is so much better. Larger size, more filling (proportionally too), and better taste. My boyfriend always gets the banana milk. I love the food court (jajangmyeon is one of my weaknesses) and there's a small shop right after the cashiers where a nice old Korean man sells roasted sweet potatoes, taiyaki, and puffed rice disks. I thought the puffed rice would be like bao mi hua without the sugar but it's more like a milder version of rice krispies. The sweet potatoes absolutely smack, so good. During these difficult times during the coronavirus, I am pleased H-Mart have maintained their overall cleanliness, quality fresh produce, mecca for hot pot fixings, basics as well as fancy frozen foods items, snacks and they even have fresh nuts, sold by the prepackaged pound. During the covid-19 pandemic, their famous pork cart is no longer available to cut the fresh pork up for you. Everything is now prepackaged. Gone are also their pre-marinated meats, banchans and kimbaps for you to pick and weigh to your specification. Again, it's now all prepackaged for our safety. They've done an excellent job trying to be there for us right these difficult times. Thanks to all the employees for their hard work at keeping the store well maintained. read more

Hmart in Edison has a large selection of Asian groceries and good affordable prices. I've never not shopped and been happy because of how fresh and great the quality of their products are. As a Korean market you'd think they'd only cater to just Korean staples, but as I browsed there was plenty of good things from different countries to cater to their needs as well. Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino... just to name a few; all had native products that could help in making their national cuisines. H mart is somewhere I'd always look for in any place I go for their selection of Asian groceries and home goods. And it helps that there's a small space for little food stalls after grocery shopping. Those are worth an individual review themselves also good food, in general the shopping center is Asian centered but Hmart is a key staple of it all. As a Filipino-Korean woman with her family in mind, it's always worth the 45-minute drive up from Jersey Shore. read more

My notes said - nice h mart with lots of stuff, best korean soup, employees, rice cakes This is one of the most exciting and eclectic International Grocery Stores in Edison New Jersey, in NJ in general, and in fact that I've ever been to! It's in a perfect location in the heart of everything with a ton of great food stands inside, not to mention close to a lot of boba. I especially love the Korean soup that I got from here, and I tried several other things too, including a strange and unique and fun Korean rice snack stand. The Korean soup is from Wooram, it's great, and the girl working there is my friend! She knows me from Boston! Small world. I've been to many different H Marts across the country, and this one is probably one of the largest ones of the bunch. There are several food court options to your left when you enter, which opens to a huge produce area. There is a great selection of fresh seafood, followed by a vast selection of meats. The grocery aisles are a bit cramped, but you'll find all the pantry necessities there. Don't forget to check out the frozen food aisles, which has a good options of Asian ice creams (e.g. mochi ice cream, boba bars). The right-most aisle of the store is dedicated to all types of ramen, perfect for instant ramen enthusiasts! When you're done shopping here, be sure to grab some yummy food at the nearby restaurants within the plaza. This H Mart is definitely optimally located! read more

For a Monday at around 1:30 pm, this place was crowded! But it seemed like most of the crowd was around the produce section (as it tends to be in most H-Marts) because there were parts of the store that were empty. This H-Mart is pretty big and it's clean. The quality and variety is consistent with its other locations. The location is convenient - in the same lot as a ton of restaurants, a bank, Paris Baguette, and Mango Mango, so that's probably the reason for the crowd. I'll probably stick to the Little Ferry location since it's newer (and also a lot closer to me), but if you are looking for a one-stop shop - maybe lunch/dinner + grocery shopping, this H Mart is a great option. read more

Happy Mart, happy Friday . Picked up some fresh vegetables and fruits. Also was hunting for the frozen Korean fried chicken, which was sold out due to popular demand for Super Bowl Sunday. Great location, easy to park and the shopping center has more than one Korean restaurant and a spa! Store employees were set up with a sanitation station and were giving people to use hand sanitizer upon arrival. Impressive fresh produce and another great fish market at this location. Lots of prepared foods easy for take out and the food court was open for dinning inside. Hard to resist the temptation to grab a fresh fresh pastry and coffee from Tours Les Jours in the way out . Only reason for a 4 and not a 5, is that the three H-Mart stores in the north are a bit bigger and a wee bit better, but H-Mart is the BEST part of the Edison shopping experience. Fantastic Korean delicacies, meat vegetable and seafood departments are the best anywhere, forget whole foods, forget ShopRite, H-Mart is the destination of choice for food shopping in the Edison area (although you'll find yourself shopping at all 3 to get the rest of the things a native NJ resident will likely need: pet foods, paper goods to name a few things that you won't always have luck with at H-Mart. But what you will find here is astounding. The freshest LIVE SEAFOOD! I can think of nowhere else in mainland USA where you'll find tanks of live Alaskan King crabs, conch, eels, you name it, if it flies, or swims, they have the best examples here. It's my go to store for Octopus, the best marinated ready to cook beef, chicken, pork. The selection of Asian sauces like soy, sesame oils, and Korean staples like Gojuchaun can not be matched in such abundance. Go. Now. read more
