Thai chilis for many spicy dishes

Awesome store with sooo many amazing choices from fresh produce, seafood and proteins to all the ingredients to make what your heart desires. The food court offers a variety of Asian cuisine made fresh and delicious. Service is efficient and fast. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria style with tables to enjoy your meal. I will shop here many times each month.

Great place to pick up fresh fruits and veggies. The assortment is excellent. They have sugar cane stalks, Thai eggplant and basil and more. The household items were great also. I didn't attempt the food court because it was packed. I was a bit disappointed in picking up other Asian staples though. They didn't seem to offer a broad range of food items. They seem to stock fresh veggies, fruits, seafood and household items but pay less attention to pantry staples. Smaller stores seemed to stock those items better. Parking is challenging. The lot is small for the amount of stores present.

Good food court in very busy Korean mall area. Store is always packed since there is so many Korean shops in one location. This place has huge parking lot, but always filled and you have take about 10-20 minutes just looking for a parking spot. If you can find a parking spot, you can easily walk from one plaza to another. Good restaurants near too. We come here about once a month. Mostly for eating, but H-mart has so many Korean grocery items and they also have nice food court. And grocery section is very complete. I recommend if anyone looking to buying something in Korean or try some Korean food.

I was impressed by the seafood offerings at H Mart in Edison. A broad variety of fresh fish and shellfish. I will become a repeat visitor going forward,

This supermarket always carries a variety of fresh produce; I got lychee and rambutan and they were both sweet and tasty. I found some organic oolong tea and added it to my cart. They have a large fish market where you could pick a selection of fish, craw fish, and crabs. I like to try new Asian desserts so I selected some frozen ice creams and chocolate. Unfortunately the last two times I've been there they've been sold out of the sweet corn ice cream which is one of my favorite. The lines move quick and it's never too crowded during the week not sure about the weekend. They have small shops and a food court similar to the h mart food hall at American dreams. My group took pictures at the Photo Booth, it was cute and fun. At the food hall I got a snack, an all beef Korean hot dog and a mochi donut which totaled about $12. The supermarket sells pre packaged meals for those who are going for a quick grab and go. The restrooms are a little out dated and could use some attention.

This Hmart is pretty amazing. Not only is it huge, but there are a ton of little cute shops inside, including a many places to eat and a claw game arcade shop! We did a bit of food shopping that day and went over to one of the small shops to buy some Kpop albums and plushies. Fun spot for a shopping date!

Located in a Korean strip mall on 27 in Edison near Highland Park. This and Island Spa are the two big people drawers. Parking can get tough so be prepared. Produce is always really good here and affordably priced. Large variety of Asian ingredients. The bbq raw meats that you make at home are good but very pricey. I would avoid traditional grocery shopping here as it's very pricey. Love all the desserts and snacks available to find. Love the little shops surrounding the store. Always something fun. The beauty section is pretty small and I can't speak for pricing or brand selection. The homewares section has some fun stuff. Sometimes they'll carry unique stuff. I've gotten a few gems there. Pricing will vary so be cautious. Cashiers are speedy and efficient. Tous Le Jours bakery on your way out is a must.

Overpriced in my opinion but decent supermarket. Parking is rough and overcrowded since it's in a small plaza area.

H Mart - Edison Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - H Mart - Edison

Does this H Mart sell alcohol?

    I don't think it does.

Does the H Mart in Edison carry those Kracie Japanese candy making kits? If so, do they have a good selection of them, or just a few?

They do! But they're usually limited in selection and come and go from time to time. I've often seen them in the inner side aisle of the snacks at the end of the market by the rice and ramen. If not there, try checking within the candy aisle!

Do they still carry marinated kalbi and other meats, even under covid regulations?

Check the circular - July 4th they had a sale for marinated pork belly (and it was deeeeelicious!) It was in the kimchi and prepared foods section near check out.

As of 5/13/2020, does anyone know what the Saturday hours of H Mart - Edison are during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Can I find Taiyaki here?? Or ant other traditional desserts?

Not at the food court. There are no desserts there. There might be taiyaki in the freezer section.

At the time I came, there weren't many people shopping so I was able to get a closer look at the products! Prices are decent and even better when the items are on sale! Then the groceries do not hurt the pocketbook as much! The sales are good here! Good produce section and lots of frozen fruit pulps with exotic fruits of some I have never seen before like Lulo, until I saw the fresh Lulo too at the produce section along with giant cactus pieces and cactus fruit! There was a box of frozen breadfruit which looked like giant cherimoyas! Boxes of tamarind, fresh and dried poblanos could be had here. Lots of Latin products and even green Puerto Rican Sofrito! Household items tend to be more here. If you need a broom, check the various other stores on Smith Street for better prices. I spied Mexican pan as well as lots of cookies, crackers and guava pastes galore! There were pastilles rolled sheets, twine and empanada wrappers! You can get fresh pork rinds at $12.99 a pound as well as other hot prepared foods. At the time I went, there were some hot foods on display! Big fried empanadas too! I hope to come back to check out the Supremo again! I will take the advice of the fellow Yelper and bring cash too! Otherwise, a pleasant find during this trip!

I am an action figure collector and sometimes Walmart has exclusive toys you can only get on their site and/or in their stores. Their web site was sold out of the specific figures BUT they showed as available to order and pick up at this store so I put in orders for four toys total, two of each character. For your reference, one of them was the "Retro G1 Gears" in my attached pics. I drove almost 40 mins to get to this store (my local Walmart had nothing) and when I get to pick up, the people there were very busy but perfectly nice (which is why this is a 2 star review instead of 1). They brought out my items and I instantly knew they were the wrong ones (see "Studio Series" Bumblebee in my attached pic). The items I wanted were on bright, colorful cards with bubbles attached. The ones they brought me were in black boxes. The character names were not the same either. Concerned, I took them over to the aisle where the correct items should have been and of course, two of the four items I wanted were sold out. I wound up purchasing the two items I DID want and cancelling the online order. You don't need to know anything about action figures or collecting to have gotten this right. All you need to do is know how to use your eyes, look at an order and match up the item in the Walmart.com listing to what is one shelf. Don't want to do that? Use your handheld scanner and scan the SKU to make sure it matches. Clearly none of this was done. Whoever pulled my order just thought any old Transformer would do which is bizarre. If I ordered a $200 vacuum cleaner, would they just randomly pick say, a $100 one to give me? No. Customers should get what they ordered - full stop. I really used to like this Walmart but this kind of elementary screw up is really surprising. Clearly whoever pulled my order had little to no regard for customer service. Be warned. If you put in a pick up order, you may not get what you paid for.

The store is clean, well-organized, and the produce section is surprisingly fresh with lots of options you don't usually find in regular supermarkets. The seafood section is a standout--plenty of fresh fish and shellfish, and they even clean or cut it for you on request. The meat section is also well-stocked with cuts popular in Asian cuisine. You'll find everything from marinated bulgogi to hotpot essentials. There's a great range of snacks, noodles, sauces, frozen dumplings, and ready-to-eat meals. The in-store bakery and food court are added bonuses--try the Korean fried chicken or fresh buns! Parking is usually decent, but weekends can get crowded. Prices are a little on the higher side compared to smaller ethnic stores, but the convenience and variety make up for it. Service and billing slower at times Still, highly recommended for any Asian grocery shopping needs!

Sometimes H Mart feels like it was purposefully designed to have that chaos in mind, like you're meant to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount and variety of goods they offer, to meander through their tighter layout to discover something. Adds to the bustling atmosphere. Kind of like Costco and Trader Joe's. You're always going to leave buying something you never intended to. H Mart tends to cost more than the other Asian markets and caters more towards the youth. Lotte has the cleanliness of H Mart with nearly as much ethnic goods as them, if not more in the South and Southeast Asian department. Their overall design and layout is simpler so it's easier and faster to find what you need. They have pretty consistent sales to boot. Peace and quiet, great for elders and families. Lotte remains to be the most balanced and the IDEAL in terms of shopping experience, variety, quality, and value of all of the Asian markets. Go to the back past 6pm for 30-50% off discounted prepared food. I personally find some of their items, like kimbap, to be better than H Mart's. Food court is also significantly less busy than H Mart's.
